Puck stared, his eyes growing wide in genuine shock. The others hadn't even had a chance to fight back... so that meant... he had been right!
A sweet scent interrupted his thoughts. Mmm, those baked goods smelled nice...
The poltergeist shook his head and flung himself towards Betty. He was going to help! And maybe get some sugar in the process!

((LOL. WHOOPS. SORRY ABOUT THAT.))
Oh, crap.
When the lights came on, Betty froze momentarily - just in time for a hoof to get her good in the gut. Gasping for breath, she felt the sahuagin's claws descend on her (though did their grip really feel all that secure?) as two other students latched on to Breic. And then that poltergeist went straight for her...
oh god not the pumpkin cookies don't eat those
"What are you doing?!" she managed to choke out. "Him! Get him!!"
She was the one who'd been attacked. Breic was the one who'd been cornered. She could still turn the tide.

(( ... *hi-hoofs Tuatha?* ))
He knew it! Breic knew there was something off about that witch! He could all but smell it and she'd made his eye twitch from nearly the instant he saw her. But he'd tried not to be too obvious, bided his time --
And she'd attacked him? Of course he was fighting back! She'd tried to cram something into his mouth, something soft and spiced and absolutely not going down his throat. Shifting his foot to a hoof was mostly instinct. Self defense and weapon, both, as he lashed out at her fiercely.
And then other students were jumping on him and trying to hold him back. Breic coughed and gagged while he struggled to get at her, shouting hoarsely, "Not me! Let go! That witch tried to poison me!"

{DOWN BREIC DOWN!}
He looked at Jack gratefully, glad that there was someone else willing to comfort the poor ghost girl. Just as he was about to say something again, the lights flickered out for a moment, and he blinked-
What is that?
Fauste stared in disbelief at the scene - right out of a movie, he thought - for a full 2 seconds before jumping out of his seat, rushing towards Breic and wrapping his arms around the male's torso - probably a stupid action that he'll regret later when his arms are bruised from the male's struggles. However, for now, the Necromancer clenched his teeth as he tried his best to pull the water horse away from Betty. Seems like their suspicions were right after all - he really is the attacker, despite how innocent he looked... Or at least one of them!
"Stop that! Listen! What's the use of hurting her further?" He yelled, eyebrows knitted together as he glanced briefly at Oliver and Kasumi, "Guys, pull on 3! 1, 2, 3-"

((Subduing Breic))
Not one to attack a lady, instinct pulled Faint to throw his massive body toward the onslaught of people weighing down Breic. His chest heaved as he grabbed onto a wrist -- or was that an ankle? -- and he held on with all his tiger might. His animal instincts drool hungrily at being so close to something so similar to a prey beast, but he forced himself to do well and help out.
Why couldn't this train ride be normal? Chat up some other students, maybe flirt with some ladies and get a number or two? Why did everything here have to turn so dramatic. Two attackers? It was ridiculous!

((Cooper is adding to the dog-pile atop Breic!))
Cooper had been relieved when it seemed most everyone believed him about Breic being the mad attacker/poisoner. He smiled nervously at the chubby witch who'd chimed in after him. She seemed like the nice sort. Cooper decided to stay close to her. So, when the lights went out once again, and came up on the witch trying to shove something into Breic's mouth, Cooper was confused. When Ghaun yelled to subdue the two of them, Cooper decided to subdue the one person he was fairly certain was up to no good.
Cooper flung himself onto Breic's back, trying to help the other guys pull him down.

((Aw no! s**t just got real! Belladonna is SO attacking Betty, the traitor!!))
Having been intently listening to everyone's reasoning and slowly coming around to the idea of voting for Breic, Belladonna froze, her arm still wrapped around Kasumi's when the lights went out. For a long dark moment she sat there, shivering and waiting for what would happen. When the lights finally flickered back, (Oh Great Jack, it had felt like forever, just sitting there waiting to be attacked) the lights revealed not one, but two attackers! And in the strangest turn of events, they were attacking each other!!
Yet upon closer inspection, they weren't just attacking each other, but very trying to severely injure, if not kill the other. That could only mean that they were both the attacker and they were attacking each other! What madness was this?! Really and truly Belladonna didn't have much time to think it over as Kasumi jumped up and launched herself toward Breic. This gave Belladonna the split second to realize that Betty was a witch and that she was doing harm to others. Immense amounts of harm! That was totally and completely uncalled for!
With a loud scream of anger, Belladonna shot up from her seat, barreling toward Betty. "HOW COULD YOU?!" She shouted, darting expertly behind her and using a crooked arm to hook around Betty's throat, therefore pulling her back and applying a good amount of pressure to her throat. "You're a WITCH. We don't hurt our fellow Halloweentowners! You've given yourself to MAGIC. To HELP! TRAITOR!!" She let out another upset scream, using all her might to hold the girl away from Breic and hopefully from hurting anyone else.
With frenzied glances at the others attacking Breic she hoped that someone else would come to her aid with Betty. Now that she had the girl in her hands and was doing something she felt a bit better and could feel the seething anger boiling within start to die down.

((Perlie is try and subdue Betty, the baking menace!))
For a moment after the lights had gone out she'd been frozen, shutting her eyes in a refusal to see what the newest lighting failure had resulted in - what if the next victim was the person next to her? Heck, what if it was her and she just hadn't noticed it yet? Yup, definitely better to keep your eyes shut and pretend like the rest of the world didn't exist.
Until the rest of the world started screaming, at least.
And curiously enough not the sort of screaming that usually followed another maimed victim; this one was particularly more.. angry. And chaotic, and not the horrified shock that the sight of another victim seemed to generate.
Cracking open an eye didn't help much to clear up the situation - really, what on earth was going on here? -, but the host's shout did help propel her into action.
"What should I do? What should I do?" Fluttering around Betty and the small band attempting to subdue her (or steal her pumpkin cookies, in one case) probably wasn't the help that Belladonna had wished for, but Perlie wasn't a great thinker in emergencies. "Oh sludgesticks, what do I do?! Do you want me to hold her like- oh, um, nevermind." Trying to help the red-haired witch in the hoopskirt seemed to put her more in the way than anything else, so the poltergeist settled for trying to keep Betty's hands away from her arsenal of baked goods - and her opponent.
"We're doomed, oh Bloody Mary, sludgesticks, candlejack!" And she was even managing the rather fantastic ghost-moaning voice she'd always been trying to attain; pity that Perlie was far too busy to notice it herself.

[ Subduing Betty! ]
Jack couldn't help but suppress a chortle, at the display of thanks that the timeslip had given him after his fumble for attention. Thumping the end of his tail lightly, he nodded in agreement from his chair, as he listened to her reasoning as well as he could, from all the standpoints that were going on at the same time.
It was when the lights went out that Jack once again felt that wash of dread that he had been experiencing since the first attack, part of him wondering what would happen now, another part wondering who it was going to be this time, and a small part of him screaming to find the closest place possible, his eyes gleeming so very faintly in the darkness as he instinctivelly grabbed the chair back that Lumi had been in - in a gentlemanly way in attempt to watch over her. Not much he could do in the dark, but whatever, it worked.
But when the lights flooded back in again, it was the witch and the water horse going at it like cat on dog, flailing, kicking and food particals everywhere. Not taking any chances with large hooves coming at him at breakneck speeds, Jack lifted himself from his chair to help the other Witch subdue Betty, leaving Zwei on the chair in case anything were to happen to his feline friend, and also to watch over Lumi, whether she jumped in or not.
"Settle down both of you, violence only fuels violence!" he chirred over the crowd, trying to find some kind of place to put his hands on the little lady, settling on her waist (seeing as Belladonna had marked her place around the witch's neck area,) before tugging her back as gingerly as he could, while watching his surroundings for any sneak attacks. A feeling of uncertanty had washed over him before, and he didn't want any of that indignation to come alive.

((Kashiyoru will sorta help subdue Breic.))
For the longest time, Kashi debated just sitting there and hoping the two creatures would simply rip eachother to shreads. He would of been content with staying right where he was, quietly admiring Jack. But the sound. Screaming. Shouting. Things, and people, being pushed about. It was quite bothersome. Watching the others gang up on Breic, he considered helping to stop Betty. But no go. Kashi would rather be dipped in a vat of acid than ever touch a female. With his mond made up, he slowly rose from his seat and made his way toward Breic.
'The sooner this is over, the sooner I can play with my toy.' He grinned to himself.
"Maybe you should sit." He growled as he swiftly and quietly sliped passed all those who stood between them. In nearly an instant Kashi was behind Breic, his eight tails thrashing about in excitment. It'd been a long time since Kashiyoru had used physical force.
"I said sit." He hissed hooked his foot around Breic's ankle and yanked back on it.

( Oh god oh god oh god Lumidee's got to help with Betty! )
She was cursed. That had to be it - whenever she opened her mouth, bad things happened. As if being what she was wasn't hard enough!
Lumidee squeaked with terror as soon as the lights went down. Only belatedly did she realize that this might bring the bad guy - guys - right to her, and clammed up with a nervous choking sound. Fauste and Jack were right next to her, remember? Nothing to worry about; she put some serious effort into making sure that they both sounded fine. Lumi focused so that the return of light actually made her blink a few times, adjusting her vision: part of it was the partial blindness of surprise. The rest was the sudden, completely crazy melee that had somehow started in the dark.
"Damn! I mea- er, Candlejack!" Amid the screams, moans, bellows and curses that came from everyone and everywhere, Lumi grew aware of her seatmates leaping into the muddle. Though she was, by this point, making little croons of nervousness in the back of her throat; Lumidee deserted her seat and flew towards Betty - she would be utterly useless against those strong and flailing hooves, thank-you.
The phantom leapt silently over the bell-skirt of Belladonna, turning on bare feet to look into the face of Perlie from the side opposite the enraged witch's headlock. It was Lumi's bright idea to place her hands on either side of Betty's face, having see once that crazed folk calmed when they couldn't see or hear anymore. Of course, Lumi's more-often-than-not transparency meant that she wasn't the best of impediments, but it was worth the shot!

(( Tuatha De? Samuel Carlin? I need you two to also roll. XD If not, no worries -- I'll roll for both/either of you come the time this round closes.
ALSO! For those that have special roles: you can vote here AND PM me your choice. xD The only thing you can't do is elect/vote on two people at once in the same vote (ie, say I was a bezerker, I couldn't attack both Bob and Fred.)
You CAN, however, give me a list of people you wish to attack/investigate in order. : D
This round still isn't done -- keep the posts'n'rolls comin! ))

((rollin' rollin' rollin'))
Aaaack oh candlejack there was a raging witch locked around her neck!
Everything else barely registered. Her struggles had changed entirely, from trying to get to Breic to simply trying to get out of the massive dogpile, though she was no less determined in that attempt. The witch was already winded from Breic striking her, and now she was practically in a headlock. While she could still gasp for breath, speaking wasn't exactly a possibility in her current situation.
Instead, she settled on giving Lumidee her best what in Jack's name are you doing I'm being strangled here look, and aiming similar desperate expressions at anyone nearby during the ghost's intermittent transparency.
She could still plead self-defense. And she intended to.

(( Oop, sorry, didn't realize we were supposed to roll too.))
Breic wasn't quite foaming at the mouth. If he'd actually swallowed the cookie Betty had been trying to force on him, he probably would have.
If more people piled on him, he'd have trouble breathing. He wasn't, however, giving up.
