Phoenix watched his moves closely, trying to figure out what he would do next,he was very quick, almost to quick for her to keep up with herself! As her crimson golden eyes locked onto his form, she was able to move out of the way just in the nick of time before the blade would strike her again by floating up ward with the help of her fiery wings that suddenly formed at her back. But she knew this would be to much of an advantage, and somewhat cheating if he couldn't get a fair hit on her, so she lowered right back down a safe distance away.That was when she saw the blood trickling down his arm, and now she would feel just a little more cruel! "I don't need my flames to win,deary! We'll see who the better one is by work of our katana's, or fists if it comes to that." She may of been small, and looked pretty darn weak, but her strength was far more powerful then one would think.
As the beam came toward her suddenly, Phoenix again flew upward, but not to far this time, it was just enough to get out of the way of the beam. Part of her clothing toward the bottom had got caught up into it instead, which seemed to have gotten a clean cut off by the energy of the attack, other then that, she was unphased. "Hey! The clothes didn't deserve that! What did they do to you?! " Yes, she was actually joking around at a time like this!

??? "This fight... is over!" "....Hmph." The man said, his eyes now completely serious and set on her solely. He didn't show it a lot, but he really hoped it wouldn't come to fists (of course, he didn't know she could read minds, so she might know that he thought that anyway). He wasn't much of a fist-fighter, and if he was beaten by such a small girl in a fistfight, it might be a tad bit embarrassing.
At When she flew up to avoid his beam, he didn't respond to her little joke, instead he vanished in a flurry of black feathers again, before appearing behind her in the air, going to deliver a downward slash aimed at bringing her straight back down to the ground, similar to Cloud's "Braver" move. (( OoC: ))

Phoenix suddenly raised her katana, she may of sounded as though he weren't serious at all by her little joking but she would surprise him by blocking his attack with it. The blades would collide and sparks flew as they made contact. "You know, when you lose that sword of yours, I'm going to win this battle very quickly. Don't like fist fights hmmm? * She grinned. Yep she heard his thoughts!

??? "This fight... is over!" The girl seemed a bit more on her game than initially suspected, it seemed. The nameless man narrowed his eyes a bit, about to continue his attack...
But then came her next words. ...What? "...Wh-what?" Now, this man had been prepared for just about everything she had done or would do, but this did not fit into the category. He had never met anyone who could read minds, so this was a bit odd. Due to his surprise, she would probably notice the pressure behind his sword lessened greatly, showing that his guard had been severely lowered. (( OoC: ))

Phoenix could feel the pressure behind his sword become much weaker, a small, twisted grin crossing her features. She had him now. Suddenly, he would feel a slight pain of her boot as it made way for his stomach had it hit, though if it didn't, the distraction to avoid it would still come to her advantage as her next move came suddenly, her blade struck hard against his with full streghth to knock it out of his hands.The second it went flying, she went after it. Ah, the joys of flight.
It wasn't hard to catch, and send away in stow within her jacket she had appear in her hands as though she had snatched it right out of the air!
And now, Phoenix's eyes would return to the silver-haired one. "Here's the deal, when you are at your limit and lose against me in a moment, you tell me your name. There's no backing out of it, because, you know, I'm going to beat you!" With that said, SHE disappeared now, a black mist like substance floating in place where she once was before it too disappeared, but what was behind him now? Phoenix, of course! She really didn't show any form of mercy as her fist flew at his back, this would most likely stun him just from the pain itself, and maybe knock him down if he was lucky. Had that have happened she would next...Be there right on top of him, pinning him down with surprising strength. "Give up yet, or are you really ready to lose to me, the helpless princess? "

??? "This fight... is over!" That little distraction gave her enough of a chance to connect her boot to his gut, causing him to gasp and double over, and so she seemed to rather easily knock the blade from his hands. As she took off, he fell back to his feet on the ground, as he himself could not fly it seemed.
Before he knew it,s he had taken his sword and it just seemed to disappear. "...?" A moment later, she was the one with the disappearing act, Another moment later, he felt a serious pain to his back, causing him to gasp and crumble to the ground. A moment later, he felt himself completely pinned down, on the ground with seemingly no way to possibly move. Totally neutralized. "...Wh-what...." it almost seemed like everything happened so fast, his mind was having trouble processing it all! (( OoC: ))

"Hmm...." Phoenix stared down at him, her near playful, evil grin beginning to fade, and instead being replaced by that of a twisted smirk. She showed no signs of letting him go, or getting off for that matter. He may of been in more trouble then he thought he was, as she was starting to lose control.What a bad timing, considering how things already looked! This also meant, her personality took for a darker change as her crimson eyes narrowed while they locked onto his. "Hmm? What is it, afraid of me now? Afraid of losing to what you thought to be some weak princess? Hmph. " Her face moved oh-so-closely toward his. "Aren't you just cute, so confused...So beaten and helpless..It's almost as though I could turn you into my slave right now. " Yeah, her personality was REALLY changed when she went into this state.But it seemed it was getting far worse over time, harder to control, and much stronger. "Does my slave prince give up yet? " She said in a just barely a whisper. Liiittle did she know, Unisha wasn't far and was heading their way to stop her sister before she did something she would regret. It seemed anytime Phoenix got into any form of a battle now, this new personality would surface.

This was the side she wished to never see awaken in Phoenix, the side no one knew about,as they had never told anyone about it and hoped it would never of surfaced. Now, after so long of hiding it, the true Phoenix was awakening in the teenage Serenitian princess.princess. Unisha landed just a small distance away from the two, returning from her Unicorn form, to human as she tried to hurry to her sister. "Phoenix! Stop!!"

??? "This fight... is over!"  The man seemed to notice her sudden change in personality just by her facial appearance. Her narrowed eyes and rather sinister looking smirk. That... was unexpected. He wasn't exactly afraid of her, but her sudden personality shift did make him reconsider this fight. What she said next made his heart skip a beat, and he couldn't stop himself from blushing, really. That wasn't what he expected, and as her face lowered to his, he seemed to have a hard time resisting her little.... charm. And indeed, he did look beaten and helpless... but looks could be deceiving. The materia in his right arm emitted a very faint glow. He was preparing an attack, but didn't want to use it if he could fix the situation tactically. And she seemed to have forgotten about his materia. "....I-I give up..." he said, hoping that would be enough to snap her out of what she was doing. And yes--that stumble over words was genuine. He was very nervous, after all, for obvious reasons...
Unisha, however, would suddenly disappear, due to a power that would likely feel very familiar to her. It was a power that would likely seem very familiar to her husband's presence, but clearly it wasn't Jake's in any way.  (( OoC: ))

Unisha's voice came faint, so faint that she didn't even look up to look at her, nor did she care or notice of her sudden disappearance. This Phoenix wouldn't let her in, regardless. "Mm, good. That's a good boy. I wouldn't recommend fighting me further, you will only be hurting more then you need to. Phoenix prefers her slaves strong. " She said, that twisted grin remained on her face as she looked down at him.

??? "This fight... is over!" "...N-NGH..." The man with no name grunted out, his eyes widening a bit. "...S-stop... I... am... NOT... anyone's SLAVE!" He yelled, his right arm tensing seriously as he cast Ultima.
The screech of the powerful spell sounded out, as common with the spell Ultima, and the green magic would likely overtake Phoenix and send her off him with a good deal of pain. Assuming she didn't use any sort of tricks, that was. Assuming all went as planned, the teenager would slowly rise up, gasping a bit as he raised to his hands and knees, breathing heavily. "Though I admit being yours is tempting... Ngh... I'm.... G-gahh...! Stop! I'm.... getting... excited... ANGRY... You... woUlDn't LiKE mE anGRy..." He warned, his last few words fluctuating in tone and with an echo. Phoenix had three options here: she could stop the battle now, she could try to end his resistance now, or she could stand there, and await whatever was happening to him to just happen. Though if she knew him, and could still sense power, the last option would probably not be favorable, because his power level was increasing exponentially by the second... (( OoC: ))

Phoenix, for only a moment, glanced away toward the arm which was suddenly radiating a new energy, rather, an intense magic she could feel even seconds before it was cast.Narrowing her eyes, she let go of him, about to move away when the spell went off, sending her flying back a few feet while the energy it self caused a great deal of pain due to its direct hit. She wasn't quite so fast enough to avoid it.
As she hit the ground, a mass of flame erupted around her, only to seconds later begin to cover her body, it was as though she were burning, but instead was healing with the help of those flames. Crimson fiery eyes locked onto the silver haired man, her own anger on the raise, just as his was. His power was definitely intensifying, but that didn't scare her away. "No one....No one can deny me....If it's a beating you want, it's a beating you will get. I will have you, just as I took that worthless God.." Oh, poor Nero. "And you, and your power, will be mine!" A cold, sadistic laugh soon followed her words as the flames began to die down, and she began to walk right toward him.

??? "This fight... is over!" "Hnng.... S-stop.... come no closer..." The man said, his fingers continuing to tense wildly as he fought to restrain himself and the power within him.
"...Don't ever become like him"
"Hahh...!?" His eyes widened, as the voice came into his head.
"Don't become a monster like he was. ...Like I was."
"...Everything... can be resolved peacefully..." He said to himself. He knew better than that by now, but he had to try to control himself. He had to try to resolve this without... He gritted his teeth, raising up to only his knees now and looking at Phoenix. "...Stop... this... isn't you... fight it...! I know what it's like to have... d-darkness... But I swear, if you don't subside, you will REGRET IT..." His voice once again echoed as he said the last words. "Please... stop... I'm begging you.... don't want... to hurt... anyone... again..." he continued... and tears began to fall from his eyes. He was so close to losing control, and he could only remember what happened last time... (( OoC: ))

"Nothing is resolved by peace. Only pain can bring a new kind of peace, a far more greater version. Pain brings fear, respect, and there any situation is resolved. That is what happens to those who don't listen to me." She said as she continued toward him, not once stopping, or even hesitating at his warning. "Show me your power, I would love to see what I'm going to take from you before you become mine. " Then, she stopped, only a few feet away from where he raised slightly. "Darkness? Fight it? Heh, dear boy. I am the Phoenix. I am the true side of that pathetic weak creature you came to meet! Ah, but she believes she's the real one. It is quite amusing, isn't it? " Though the truth was, while this dark side was part of Phoenix, her true side was the good one. The one that loved Nero, and the one who would harm no one. Unfortunately it wasn't easy to return to that side once the darker form took control, and as it was, it had full control. "I regret nothing..." Her eyes showed no remorse, no sympathy even for the tears he shed. As she stepped closer, a hand suddenly reached out, grabbing hold of his front shirt and lifting him up to his feet, that was when those same dancing flames would shoot out, now around the two of them and make their way over his body. What he would notice first, was there was no heat, but his energy was declining, had he not stopped this quick enough his abilities and power would be absorbed by Phoenix.. "As I said, Slave. You.Are.Mine. "

Nero Lylatt "This is how it started, and this is how it'll end. By my hand." Before the man's power spiked to uncontrollable levels, he suddenly vanished from the area, being taken somewhere else entirely. "Sorry, looks like this duel will have to be a draw," came a familiar voice from behind Phoenix. "Good thing, too--you have no idea what you were toying with. If he had lost control, you and this town would be gone by now." Nero said matter-of-factually, crossing his arms. "Now, if you could just tone the crazy down a little, we could go back to our home and, you know, make up." He seemed to be joking a bit with that, but with Nero, no one could be sure. (( OOC: ))
