Maxwell saw the inquisitive look on Aubia's face. It seemed she wanted a verbal reply, and not just a nod. Maxwell motioned to one of the stage technicians for a wireless microphone so that his answer would be loud and clear. With the mic in his hands, Maxwell looked over at the sea of reporters and cameras and then back at Aubia. What would his answer be? Max took a deep breath and said, "Very well, Miss Schultz. I accept your gracious offer. Now, I think it's been a long day for all of us, and we all need some rest. Please wrap things up soon, Miss Schultz."

There was a pause, and the Admin looked up at Maxwell and smiled. "Thank you, Mr. Hale. Your cooperation is a great favor to our effort."
Aubia bowed, and turned toward the reporters. "You heard the man. It's late, and I've done my job, and Mr. Hale and Miss Hazard have done theirs. You came, you saw, business is done. Now go report." She couldn't help it, the authoritarian edge in her voice. It was just part of being in charge.
With that, she practically dashed off the stage and completely bypassed the cameras, heading straight into the hallway, where she rested against the wall, her face incredibly warm and her knees shaking.

The pretty little lady that was talking was starting to walk away. Something was drawing Alexander to Aubia, something not entirely professional, more.......... primal. Seeing her lean against a wall, Alexander couldn't help but make a move.
It would require more tact than trying to squeeze a prostitute for information though....
"Hehehe, looks like Somebody's not used to public speaking......" he said with a smirk.
"Ah, well. Could've gone worse. At least you got a team together.... er.... something. I dunno. Good job though." said the detective, pulling out a box of cigarettes and lighting one of the cancer sticks. Taking a long, deep drag, the blue smoke curled around his head as he spoke, smiling at Aubia.
"I don't suppose you'd be interested in going out some time, cutie?" he said, grinning.

Aubia jumped when Alexander spoke to her. When in the world had he...? Whatever. She frowned, toying with her gloves.
"I just hope I made a good enough impression. We really need the help. If we Admins could fix the glitches permanently.... we would have done so by now." She looked up at the detective and fanned herself with one of her gloves. Her face was still so flushed from the stage fright.
She shook her head, a small motion. "I can't even think about that right now. There's too much to be done, and you and I are coworkers now."
But Aubia wouldn't have minded. Honestly, this man was very attractive - intelligent and down to earth, he seemed. Or at least, very handsome, in her opinion.

"Ah, well. When this is all over, maybe then, eh?" said Alexander, smirking and clearing his throat.
*Ahem* "Well, as your official.... Body Guard? Yeah, let's use that. As your official protector, I'm going to need full rosters and information on the team, where they live, their hours, schedules, etc- anything that can help me do my job better. In the mean time, Im'a radio ahead to the KCPD for extra security details on the admins, eh?" he said, the smoke curling around his head in thin wisps.

"The Admin's job never ends!" Aubia retorted. She smiled though, admiring the wisps of smoke. "... Maybe."
She crossed her arms, the Admin edge strong in her voice. "But not 'eh'. Go on, radio your people, but tell them that we're taking their conference room, until the Compound is open again. And the information on my Admins stays with me, until I deem it necessary for you to know. You're my bodyguard apparently, not theirs. As if there's anyone after me anyway! If you really want to be useful, then come home with me and shove paperwork around. There's your information!"
There was a pause, and Aubia blushed. "I'm sorry, I don't intend to be rude..."
((Does it show that she's bossy?))

With a sly grin, Alexander couldn't help himself to that little nugget of innuendo Aubia had just given him on a silver platter.
"Well, sweet thing, I would LOVE to come back to your place and.... shove things around.... guarding your body.... but I'm afraid we have to be strictly professional about these dealings of ours. I don't suppose you have a phone or something I can use to contact HQ? A body as fine as yours? Yer gonna need all the protection I can offer." he said with a smirk, dropping the cigarette on the ground, extinguishing the life of the fire with his booted foot.

((Aubia just can't shut up, huh?))
The Admin's cheeks turned a bright scarlet. How dare he... how dare she.... Aubia huffed, and took out her Admin-issued network phone. "Go ahead and use this," she said, averting her eyes from Alexander's. She handed the phone to him, a small sleek object, painted to match the navy blue and brass colors of the Admin uniforms. "And I didn't mean it like that," she belatedly muttered.

Wincing as he was unable to catch that little bit of innuendo in time, Alexander took the phone out of Aubia's hand, flipping it open and dialing a few numbers on the pad.
As the phone buzzed and sent a signal, the dispatcher at KCPD patched him in, speaking with the standard greeting.
"Klox City Police Department, how may I help you?"
"Hey, Karen? Yeah, it's Alex. Can you do me a favor, doll?"
"Depends. You plan on taking me out on that date for the LAST favor, Al?"
*Cough* "Umm... sure! Y-yeah, but we-I need this favor real quick, I promise, you'll get that movie, but for now, just patch me through to the chief. We need to get the word out, new developments on the Admin situation."
"Mmm..... well, I can't say no to you... but you owe me!" said the nasally-voiced dispatch woman.
Shuddering as he was connected to the chief, Alexander couldn't help but making a puke face- if anyone had actually SEEN Karen, they would've known exactly why Alex was so dreading their 'date.'
"This is Police Chief Sanderson speaking. Al, is that you?" said the chief.
A portly man of about 50, Chief Mike Sanderson had faithfully served the KCPD for going on 30 years, joining when he was fresh out of School, settling in on a career in law enforcement. The man was close friends with Alexander, the two having served on the force and the Task Force together throughout the years.
"Been a while, Mike. How's the family?" said the inspector.
"Ah.... Nicole is doing okay. Marty and Donna, they.... well, as you know, Marty's in college and he seems to be doing well, but Donna.... she's pregnant! I'm gonna be a grand pappy!" said the elder man, excitement highly apparent in his voice.
"He-hey! That's great! Congratulations to you and Nikki, Mike! Anyway, I need a favor. You know this supposed recent danger, these... events going on throughout the city? The admins just had a press release about it, and I am on the team as a bodyguard. These eggheads are gonna need protection. Think you can spare a few men?"
"Ah, thing's have been kinda slow here lately, so... sure, you'll get your guys. Just give me the addresses and names later and we'll have them under constant surveillance. As for that spiffy girl on the telly, that... Aubia, was it? What about her?"
"Hehehe, well, she's my personal body to guard, Mike. Don't worry about her. Anyway, thanks again old man. And congratulations!"
"Yeah yeah, we'll talk later, kid. Bye." said the portly fellow, hanging up his phone.
Turning to Aubia, Alexander handed her back the phone, smiling.
"Looks like the KCPD is on our side, eh?" he said with a grin.

Aubia scowled as she took the phone back. "Eggheads, right. Eggheads who have kept the city running for generations." If anything rubbed her the wrong way the most, it was remarks like that about the Admins. Sure, Armand gave them a less-than-favorable image, but they were hard workers, and it wasn't stupidity that was causing these glitches. Any stupidity would have been culled away long ago by Aubia.
"And of course the police are on out side. Think about it, Alexander - if I may call you that - can anyone really afford not to be?" She stared at him, her eyes steely. Who would dare dissent against the Admins, who managed the computer that supported the city? They alone had the power to make certain people very, very miserable, without ever stepping a foot outside their office. It was a chilling thought to some, but it was true. Admins controlled the city. Aubia controlled many, if not all, the Admins. It was a split-second decision, but it was a plan nonetheless.
"I planned it that way."
Well, maybe not exactly, but close enough.

A look of terror crossed Alexander's face as he saw Aubia's inhuman gaze, her eyes seemingly blistering with rage, while her face was a mask of serenity.
It was a truly chilling sight.
Reeling and stepping back for fear of having his scrotum pulled out through his throat, Alexander raised his hand in defense of a potential attack.
"Hehehe, umm.... It was a joke, I swear! The Chief isn't exactly techno-savvy, you know how people like that are!" he said in terror.
Oh, this was a feisty little one, this Aubia Schultz.

Aubia raised an eyebrow. "If you insist, Alexander. Just remember who you're protecting." She didn't feel like telling him that it was alright, she couldn't punched him if she tried, the worst Aubia could do to him was leave some scratches on his face - or maybe shoot him, but that was extreme, considering all that the Admins had been called before.
"Now," she continued. She held out her hand. "Bodyguard. Guard me. Escort me to my apartment." Hopefully it would be clear to all soon enough, that if they were going to work with her and her Admins, then they were going to work.

Taking her hand with a grin, Alexander smiled as he bowed a bit, leaning in close to Aubia's face, awaiting her response.
"Enchante', milady. Please, lead the way and allow me to guard that body." he said, grinning.
Something in the back of his mind was screaming at Alex to stop playing around and take his work more seriously. But for the moment, Alex was in fun mode- he was ignoring that annoying little 'conscience' of his.

"Hmph. You're lucky it's only me right now, and not the other Admins." Aubia held Alexander's hand and began to walk, her heels clicking on the hallway floor, tugging him along. Surely, she thought with a small smile, all hell would break loose once she and Alexander, and Elliot and Armand and Jack - wait, did she tell Jack she had...? Never mind, he'd find out soon enough. But surely, all hell would break loose when they were all together in the conference room tomorrow at the police headquarters. "Otherwise you'd be more concerned with guarding yourself. Now, since you've proclaimed yourself as my bodyguard, I've got the right to know a bit more about you. Talk."

"Talk? About what? Hell, I could go on and on, cutie pie. I think it'd be more interesting to hear about YOU, in all honesty." he said, his boots thudding against the floor as he followed in the woman's footsteps. Flicking another cigarette up from the box in his pocket to his mouth, he lit the small tobacco stick with a lighter, inhaling the smoke and burning tobacco, the stick laced with the light taste of menthol and vodka.
"But if you insist, then... my name is Alexander Isaacs and I have no family." he said with a smile.
