((Wow, I'm back. You sure made the whole "reading the backlog issue" pretty easy.))

Zakkon arrived ontop of the foreign quarter, and watched the battle unfold on the Telvanni and outlying Cantons. Werewolf, Ordinater, and Daedra corpses littered everything. Blood washed the walls a shining scarlet color, and a shroud of death seemed to cover all of the still battling survivors. From here he couldn't tell who was winning, so he jumped to the top of the Telvanni Canton, to wait out the battle, and decide which side he'd join.

((I need to know who's winning, and I need other posts to work off of this one.))

"Well Kah, I think it's time to go, I need to rest. I'll meat you back at Masters house." Arnix look at Kah and laughed, then limped off towards the Dren Plantation.

((I'll make this into a post tomorrow. It's three AM here, and I just got done adding a new section to a tutorial on my website on how to use the Construction Set for a friend of mine. I'm trying to add a new section daily, and I hope to have it done at least a few days before it becomes obsolete with the release of Oblivion.))

Maikau looked up into the Werewolves yellowed eyes. They stared back mercilessly. An idea came to Maikau as he saw an explosion in the distance, above Lake Nabia. A smile appeared on his face, though its effect was lost upon the Lycan Leader. He knew that what he was about to do was suicidal, though it was no worse than his other ideas. The werewolf's claws crashed down into Maikau's face, narrowly missing his eyes, and piercing his nose, both cheeks, ripping off half of an ear, and shredding the right side of his lip. Now he had to act.

He bit down hard on the lycanthropy's finger, and his fang went right through it. As the werewolf pulled its paw out of his face, the finger was ripped, and the damage was done. The conflicting disease of both Vampirism and Sanies Lupinus were too much, and the wolf went into a frenzy of pain, killing three werewolves before falling off the canton in his death throes.

Maikau rose, and the wounds on his face started melding themselves back together. Here is where the problem came. He muttered a single word as he rose, and the blood from his torn mouth flew into the air, compressed into three inch long, two inch thick dart. A small crack ran through it, which then branched off, dividing the floating weapon into eighteen different shards. The foremost flew outward, striking a werewolf in its eye. The Vampiric Blood had the same effect as Vampiric Saliva, and the creature might have killed the others if they hadn't been struck an instant later. Four of them dove off the canton, where they hit an invisible surface. Three of them were dragged off, and they disappeared moments later. The fourth's neck was sliced open, and he bled out. The flowing blood revealed the surface to be a wood-like surface. The surface of Korbaine's ship.

They sailed from Lake Nabia, every crewman and Vampire cloaked by an area affect invisibility spell- the same spell that cloaked the Galleon itself. It tore through the bridge over the river south of the lake, the mast now fortified by metal spikes. The sails were fully set, though invisible, and the crew had to work blindly. A rock in the river tore through the hull of the ship, and the cloak flickered, then returned as, almost instantly, the breach was fixed b y mages. An invisible Daedric Bow, twice the size of a normal longbow, rested in Korbaine's blackened hands.

The ship neared Vivec, and went past the Telvanni Canton. Four werewolves leaped from the canton, almost as though they knew the ship was there, and the Elder stepped forward. As the first one fell, he drew his blade and cut its throat, so fast that his invisibility did not even weaken. The other three landed haphazardly, and they were dragged underdeck by the Vampires. As they neared the Temple, where the battle still raged, Korbaine hit the mast twice with his bow, and everything, ship and crew, appeared in an instant. The true vampires jumped the gap between the deck and the canton. Korbaine climbed up the mast, drew a massive ash arrow from his a quiver that rested along his back, and notched it. He released it, and it hit a Goblin's left eye. The arrow's power forced it all the way through the Goblin's head, and it hit a Dremora, where it rested in his armor. He flew backward from the force, and lay alive, the arrow stopping the blood from flowing out of his heart. He notched another arrow, and smiled as he caught sight of a barrage of green needles flying through the air, each one catching fire just before it hit its target.

The white of Maikau's face caught the glint of light first, followed by the rest of his form. He still wore his ash-blackened cloak, despite the fact that the blinding one beneath it would help more. He jumped behind a chunk of rock that had been created by a Dwemer balista that now sat abandoned at the bridge that connected the Temple to the rest of Vivec, and slit an Orcish Mercenary's throat with a Bound Dagger. He continued, managing to avoid even the gaze of the Berne with his new-found guile. He made his way to the massive crossbow, and sighed in relief to see that the Goblins manning it had abandoned it before firing it a second time. It was all ready. He turned it so that it aimed at the heart of the Dremora platoon. He turned it up slightly, so that it aimed at a newly-built Velothi statue of Nerevar, and prepared it. He cut loose the ropes that bound it to its stone base, and cut the rope that held the projectile in it. The giant missile launched itself forward, ricocheted off of the statue, and flew in a straight line through the Dremora's ranks. The real damage, however, was done when the momentum from the firing caused the balista itself to fly forward, unattatched to the heavy stone base. It crashed into the base of the fifty foot statue, which cracked uncertainly.

Maikau held his breath, hoping that his plan would work. Thankfully, the statue's base shattered, and two tons of rock, stone, and mortar fell on the Daedric ranks, crushing almost three fourths of the army under its mass. The Berne Vampires, Ordinators, and even some of the Bouyant Armigers from the Ghostgate advanced on the remainder, which still matched the numbers of their forces. Nevertheless, Maikau knew that the combined might of Vivec's forces would easily overwhelm the now disorganized and leaderless Daedra.

The battle would almost surely be won.

"It's a good thing I've had a chance to rest and regain my magicka," thought Zakkon as he watched from the Telvanni Canton's top, as he cast Grace of the Forest, Flitting Shadows, Heartwood, Leaved Raiment, Intertwining Branches, and The Silent Flight upon himself. It would leave him with very few spells to back himself up, especially since he'd drained almost all of his Magicka, and used all of his restore Magicka potions in the casting. However, it would be needed.

He walked to the edge of the canton, Invisible, feeling the effects of his fortified speed, agility, acrobatics, strength, health, athletics, shortblade ability and light armor ability. Then, he leapt out into the air. If he'd been visible, he'd have looked as if he was flying. He drew out both his Daedric Shortswords as he fell, and prepared for his landing. He landed with a somewhat noticeable noise. It wasn't loud, but anyone who'd been closeby would've heard it, even with all the noise about. Not that it mattered anyway. It had been less than 2 seconds since he had cast his spells and landed upon the deck. Landed behind the captain that is.

He Quickly placed one blade at the side of the captain's neck, and another right at his heart, point slightly cutting him, just to get the concept through to the captain. He brought his mouth up to his ear, and whispered quietly, "Make one move, and I'll penetrate your heart, while I simultaneously cut off your head. Vampire or not, you won't be able to survive that. Now call of your crew. I've got no problem dieing, as long as I take you with me. I have no interest in killing you, not in the least. Now call of your crew quietly, and without arousing anyone's interest, we're going to sail off to Sadrith Mora. I need to get there, and it seems that you've just volunteered me a ride."

The Berne had already abandoned to boat, and were now ripping through the Daedric ranks, killing a score before even one of them fell. Korbaine, however, was being held at knifepoint, and he smiled maliciously, knowing that the assailant wouldn't catch sight of it.

"You want me to tell my crew to sail through the rockiest waters in Morrowind? So be it. They'll have to cloak themselves to keep the cliff racers from bothering them on the trip, though."

He turned to an Altmer male who stood at the bow of the ship, and called out to him.

"Sorien, dories fortheni sikrues narak. Jerfrei nik'der kitrei fornei."

All the while, Korbaine had been moving his fingers in a complex pattern, too small to be noticed. He had encountered fools like this before. People who thought that they could command him around, and get him to sail to a set location through threats. They never enjoyed the results. He knew that, by the skill that his attacker was showing, the plan wouldn't come close to killing him. It'd be sure to tick him off, but it wouldn't kill him. Slaughterfish rarely ever did their job. On the side of the ship, a hatch opened, just above the water. A cascade of slaughterfish-filled water poured out, infesting Vivec's waterways with over thirty of the fish. Zakkon wouldn't see it, and he wouldn't hear it over the battle.

Next, Sorien disappeared, seemingly by invisibility, then some of the other crew members disappeared as well. Next, Korbaine disappeared, and Zakkon no longer held a victim in his grasp. Nor did he stand on a solid surface. The entire crew had recalled to Ebonheart, which now lay in smoldering ruin, and Korbaine had done the same, taking the ship with him.

Over a score of slaughterfish laid in wait below Zakkon, and nothing was keeping him suspended.

Kah was tired of fighting too, after realizing how bad of an idea it was to turn into a werewolf, he decided to just follow Arnix to his old "home" and kill his master, he would then recall back to Seyda Neen, with or without Arnix, and then rest.

Zakkon knew there'd be retaliation, expected there to be transportation, and really didn't care. He'd just come to expect the inevitable. As the ship suddenly disappeared, along with all it's crew, leaving Zakkon staring down 20 feet into Slaughterfish infested waters, he did the only thing he could think of. As gravity pulled him down, he chuckled, turned himself so that the momentum would bring him face first into the water, put his arms above his head, Daedric Shortswords crossed, and dove into the water below.

The force of his fall drove him past the Slaughterfish to the bottom of the waterway. He cast Vivec's Kiss, and prepared for a mostly weightless fight in a much thicker medium. The Slaughterfish rushed him, and as he cut left and right, up and down. Killing scores upon scores, it only drove them into a greater frenzy. Until the ones at the back of the pack attacked the ones in front, and there was a frenzied murderous blood battle between all of the fish. Zakkon swam off, killing a few scragglers as he went, and made his way to land.

As he crawled from the now red water, he stepped upon the land and decided his next move. Vivec was completely overrun, and he was too tired to make it to Balmora. His only choice was to head for Ebonheart, and find haven there. Perhaps he could kill a Duke or Duchess while he was in attendance. A little assassination always seemed to liven things up there.

((Zakkon was never at Ebonheart, nor did he hear anything about it. As far as he figures, it's fine, and just bolstering it's defenses for the inevitable Dremora attack following the one on Vivec. He went straight to Vivec (I destinctly remember that part, because there was alot of laughing at blood and corpses), and then straight to the Manor, Hoptoaded all the way back to Vivec, and then crawled out of the water. Not once by Ebonheart or communicating with people. He's not a people's person.))

((No, Korbaine's crew and ship all went to Ebonheart, so this is a fortunate and acceptable way of rendezvousing with them. Especially since the war at Vivec has more or less been finished. It'll give Zakkon a new mission to do.))
