((><; I am so sorry that I haven't posted.))
Cho listened to them talk and when the fae moved, Cho stood up, thought better, and stopped. Cho said to the other fae, "Please forgive me of not being stronger, as to heal you better."

Cho started to follow and stopped. She looked at Aphrodite and asked, "Are you coming along?"

Aphrodite looked at her and looked at the other fae and dragon. Aphrodite wanted to know more about the fae and what was going on, so she nodded her head.

Cho put a hand on her and said, "You are not bound to me but you are my dragon until you have decided other wise." She removed her hand and said, "This is just a precaution from other faes."

Aphrodite looked at her, a bit confused and curious.

Cho and Aphrodite followed after the dragon and fae.

Blade Kuroda
"Yes ser!"

Once the orders were given, Warden angled his wings and headed down towards the tree line to scan for any signs of these Fae.

inquired Jace as he kept an eye out for the beings in question. The stories of what the Fae were capable of were a bit of a bother, so he knew they would need to be vigilant regardless if they seem to be hostile or not.

For some time there was nothing out of the ordinary as far as the two could see. Eventually though, the sight of something moving swiftly through the woods caught their attention. Warden picked up speed and went on to investigate what it was. From their current position, it was hard to tell what they were. For all he knew, it could be some deer.

It was a time before Warden heard that of his Knight's voice coming into range; it was another before Tumlar's form came into view, albeit slowly. The knight was a bigger dragon, muscular, and certainly not known for his speed.

As the knight in command traveled, Warden was filled in that there had been no sightings by either the knight or other squire that had been brought along. Dragon activity was up, however, and word was spreading fast from the clan that fae had left their hidden lands. The other squire had been left posted at the clan in case anything else should come in.

'What's the report, Warden?' Tumlar asked as he coasted closer to the recruit without breaking a sweat. The pastel blue dragon looked as if he could fly the entire continent yet all while carrying a dead cockatrice his hatchmother could have caught for him.

((after some discussion with Jay, I am going to do a BIG timeskip. Most of the dragons are traveling right now and I have no further plans without moving time ahead. I'll set the scene with the two main npcs I'm controlling and let everyone check in as they will. A week has passed since Kocerou has entered dragon territory.))

Kocerou's sanctuary was at the heart of clan territory, where the rolling hills were broken into pieces by a river, splayed out in ravines like furrows from a dragon's claw. No dragons claimed this as their land for legend had that it was a sacred place among the fae and that they would kill any trespassers. Prince Kocerou confirmed this legend as true, for fae guarded the sole entrance a dragon could pass through, watching with glittering eyes and loaded crossbows. The stink of dragonsbane was on the air. A gesture and word from Kocerou and the sentries gave his dragon escort passage.

The dragons could not get into the ravines that twined through the rocky hillsides, for they were too narrow for their wings and the trees were interlocked too closely. The water was only a few feet at its deepest point and fae walked barefoot through the wide and winding riverbeds. Shelters were set up, nestled alongside the cliffsides, and there had to be at least sixty fae there, if not more hidden in the higher levels of the ravines and in the trees. All were armed and armored to some degree. At the wides point was as rise of land at the base of a massive oak tree. The roots were exposed, knotted in places and Kocerou held his court there, climbing up to the trunk and sitting among the roots that shifted at his will to form a throne. One by one the fae came and pledged on Thorn, the champion's sword. He gave no more attention to the dragons that had accompanied him, save thanking them for their service and requesting they not leave the sanctuary until orders were given. It was to remain hidden and keeping it safe from the Crown's eyes was taxing enough without them coming and going as they pleased. And then he left then alone to be ignored, focusing his attention on what appeared to be his close advisers.

-----------------------

The Court of the Silver Rose was amassing an army. It stood at nearly a hundred strong by the time the remaining member of the hunting party arrived with Bullseye in tow. They were gathered in a meadow and tents and pavilions in riotous color were strewn about seemingly at random. Upon closer inspection there was a pattern to it, but it was difficult for non-fae to grasp the nuances of loyalty and units that were displayed in the colors and arrangements. The fae didn't hesitate, just went straight for the largest pavilion and the largest grouping of fae. The pavilion was white silk with silver designs worked into it, held up with silver cord and glittering with lanterns of dazzling brilliance. They were stopped before they could get close by fae knights in full armor with spears and swords on their belts.

"I seek an audience with my liege," the fae hunter said. The knight nodded and let her pass. Then he stepped forwards again, pointing the spear at Bullseye.

"What business does an unbound dragon have here?" he asked, his voice menacing and suspicious.

As Tumlar came back into view, Warden went on to explain what he and his bound had seen in the forest just now.

"There were a group of Fae that seemed to be in quite a hurry. I didn't see any banners but I believe they were a part of the hunting party," he reported, "They were headed north."

In the meantime, Jace had to wonder what this would mean for all of dragon-kind in general. Most likely it wouldn't be anything good.

Target sat still as he watched Kocerou hold his court taking note who all joined and didn't. It was a game at first since he was in a place that was more up tight about security than his hatching lands to guess who would go next but it got old cause he felt strongly out of place. Thorn, why is this blade to have a name? Target had time to think now and soon started to see if he could pick out what each Fae could do. It passed time.

Bullseye looked upon the army but didn't keep his gaze long as he didn't want to start anything. Once in the Meadow of tents and pavilions he ponder what the colors displayed meant. Bullseye stayed silent of his questions as they approached the largest pavilion with silver designs, crafty these creatures were. As the Knights appeared Bullseye was careful about with what he just heard and saw. Best bets this is as far as his escort was taking him. This was most likely the worst trouble he has been, and this was with out the encouragement of his brother. The urge to make a remark was there. Calmly he spoke.
"Business is Knowledge, may I pass."
Bullseyes carefully watched as much as his eyes could the feeling of safety far from gone, and fighting the urge to recoil.

"Then we had best follow overhead with speed and ascertain their destination," Tumlar spoke up over the heavy rise and fall of his wings.

This had officially stopped being a training run. There had always been a chance to be called upon as a knight during the outing but active fae would never have crossed his mind as something to prepare the squires for, much less himself.

The knight quietly conversed with his rider as they took wing overhead to try and spot the entourage Warden had found. Once doing doing so, he flew above the treetops high enough to be seen but give the non-native ground riders fair berth.

'You can come with or wait with the other squire at the camp. There is no turning back from this should something happen. Do you assist?' Tumlar asked as the riders seemed to come to a halt.

As with Target, Blade and Astalder watched the happenings in this little hideout of the rogue Prince. So far there wasn't a whole lot for them to do aside from staying out of the way and out of trouble.

---

The two awaited their next set of orders while the knight went to see the fae below. There was little hesitation in either dragon or bound's mind as the option was put up to stay or go along.

"We will come along. We may only be squires right now but it's still a part of our duty to protect dragon and humankind alike," Warden replied.

The large dragon nodded in approval before beginning the pair's descent in a slow wide spiral, landing at the edge of the clearing where the armed fae riders had stopped. That there were one more than there were riders now, and that extra one was lying wounded on the ground did not spell out good news.

And neither did the emblems they each wore.

"They are of the Silver Rose court," Tumlar explained in whisper to Wardon. "The royal house of the fairies."

Looking around, the area was in disarray. There was a bled out horse on the side closest to them. Some parts still smoked of burned out flame, some with a few small tongues still lit and live. A large scorch mark covered a wide patch of ground where the fire had traveled. Dragon breath perhaps? Maybe from a smaller dragon possibly looking at the point of contact. Tumlar looked up and over the trees at broken branches lying around. Was the fae on the ground attacked by another dragon or dragon pair or did they meet up with this retaliating Prince that the clan leader spoke of?

Deciding they had made their presence known long enough, Tumlar stepped forward cautiously. "I'm Knight Tumlar of Glen'yiel attended by Squire Warden. Might we be of some assistance?"

"A Dragon Knight." The wounded fae grimaced as he spoke, pushing himself up off the ground. It was obviously very painful and very difficult, and one of the attending fae moved to help him. He waved them off, and the two fae positioned themselves between him and the dragons, watching warily. After a moment of struggling the wounded fae had shoved himself into a sitting position, his back against a tree. He was very pale and sweat glistened on his forehead.

"I know your Master," he said, "I bested Master Hammand once. He is a poor swordsman apart from his dragon. I am Sir Leverne, Champion of the Silver Rose. We are here by order of our King."

He paused a moment, either to let the significance of his words sink in or to catch his breath as another wave of pain seemed to wrack his body. Shuddering, he closed his eyes and waited it out.

"We would be grateful for your assistance. I have been badly wounded and my companions have done all they can. I must heal naturally from this point forwards... and they must return to our leige to inform him of what has happened. I am too weak to ride. Would you find me safety, so that I may release my knights to return to the forest?"

---------

The knight narrowed his eyes at Bullseyes words, seeming to consider them carefully.

"If that is what you seek, than I advise you to choose your words with great care from this point forwards," the fae said, "We do not part with knowledge for an easy price. If you would see his Majesty, I require assurance that you have no ill intent. Hold out your foreleg."

And he walked towards the dragon, drawing his sword as he did so.

Even as the wounded fae struggled to move, the knight made not an inch toward him or his two guards.

"A rematch may need to be made in good time, Sir Leverne," Tumlar said without mirth nor spite. "To speed along matters, we have heard some of the situation from the nearest residing clan. As for a point of safety, the Knight outpost to the Northeast would provide the most security if you believe the travel is manageable. I or my squire can transport you there. If not, the local clan's camp will make due where one of us would stay beside you until you can press on."

The dragon's eyes looked briefly at the 'horse' on the ground, believing it to be Leverne's mount as there were not a matching number of rides to riders in the area.

The scene they had found certainly showed signs of a struggle. And the scent of burning foliage and flesh did not help all too much. Snarling lowly, Warden soon turned his attention to the one wounded Fae that laid before them.

Both dragon and human frowned at the story of Master Hammand losing to this one, but for now the two remained silent. Being squires, they didn't have much of a say on the order's stance on this situation at all. Agitation aside from the little story, they felt it might be best to find the Fae a safe place as requested. Hopefully they'd be able to learn more of what was going on here once that happened.

Glancing towards Tumlar, they awaited to see what his decision would be.
PostPosted: Fri Oct 01, 2010 8:27 pm

"If Master Hammand is willing, I would welcome a rematch," Leverne said, just as gravely as Tumlar, "If you would be willing to carry me, I can survive the journey to your outpost. I need speak with the Knights about what is happening, anyway."

He turned towards his two companions and spoke briefly in his own language. Reluctantly, the two backed away and bowed. They were being sent away. That done, Leverne turned his attention to the dragons.

"I am ready."

The outpost was a small one located between a few clan territories, giving easy access to the lands, fitted to quarter three to four knight pairs just short of comfortably. With the Dragon Knights spread out as thin as they were though, just one knight had been stationed there and Tumlar had already sent them off escorting the other squire to Gen'yiel en route to Master Lierce.

Tumlar's heavy head twisted, looking toward the fireplace his bound was stoking, the crackle of the fire beginning to carry its own conversation with the air. A pot of water sat off at the side where it had been left after being brought in, ready to be set over the fire and heated. Both knight's helms had already been removed and set on the table not far away.

"Has this sort of dissent only been recent or has it been going on for some time now to give them strength of numbers?" the dragon knight asked, trying to estimate what each side might be facing.

As the Knight continued Fea didn't trust much it seams. Bullseye didn't know what to expect now of the knight when he requested to hold out his foreleg.
"What is the price for this knowledge?" He asked innocently before he cautiously lifted his foreleg to hold out for the knight.

Leverne lay on the cot that had been drug out for him, clearly exhausted but unwilling to sleep just yet, not when there were still important things to be done. His bloodied surcoat lay discarded along with his ruined armor.

"Kocerou has many followers," Leverne replied, "We fae do not hesitate in giving our loyalty - the sides were drawn up the instant Kocerou was declared traitor. It will take some time for him to gather everyone to one place, however. I know he fled with his household, which numbers at least twenty knights and twice that in common soldiers and non-combatants. They will probably be with him within a few days, if they haven't regrouped already. My King will have similar numbers in the same amount of time, with more coming as they receive word that he is gathering an army."

-----------

"It depends on what you ask," the fae replied, and before the dragon could ask he drew his sword along the leg, a quick motion that left a shallow wound and the sword's edge rimmed with blood.

"I can Bind you with this," the fae said quickly, holding the sword up between the two, "I have drawn your blood and you are vulnerable. I could make you my slave. Keep this in mind and act accordingly. Now, I will take you to see the King."
