Andros grabbed Allegra. Just barely. He nearly dropped her. Her bag he did drop. He gripped Alicia by the arm. "Sit. I'll call an ambulance." He dragged her over to a chair and forced her into it. "Just sit. Don't talk. Not interested in hearing it." He picked up the phone and called the emergency services. "Thay are on their way he announced."

Alicia swayed in the chair. Her eyes were dialated, a very bad sign. "You..... left..... Piper..... mmm mmm mmm." She began muttering not talking in any way for anyone to really acknowledge what was being said. "She ...mmmmade.. me... Allegra... she......... she.... was... in.... innn.... my .... head... She.... wouldn't stop." She began sobbing. Everything was too much to handle at once. Alicia held her head around her ears. She began to whimper as she rocked herself. Allegra looked up at her dad and smiled.

"Both of you....shhh!" Andros heard the ambulance approaching and went to the door. "IN HERE!" He yelled as he flagged them down. Moments later they were in the apartment and moving Alicia to a gurney.

Alicia watched as the paramedics lifted her on the gurney. "Not alone. I dont want to go..... alone." Her eyes fluttered closed as the paramedics stuck her with an IV. "You will have to follow behind us to sign some consent forms." The first paramedic said to Andros.

Andros shook his head. "I can't....we're legally separated. There is also a straining order in place." Andros walked over to the phone. "E....it's Andros....clearly. Look...I will dropped Allegra off to you. I can't have her. The restraining order specifies I am not to be within 20 feet of her, however Alicia dropped her off. I am not getting into any legal trouble for a broken restraining order. Since Piper and Alicia plotted this together you two can deal with Allegra until Alicia is released from the hospital." With that he hung up and gathered Allegra's stuff.
Next he put her in the carseat he borrowed from the neighbor. No child, no seat. Then he was making his way across town to drop the baby off. Half hour later he was at the door. The bag in one arm the baby in the other.

Erebus answered the door quickly and stepped outside. He looked at Andros. "Whats going on with you and Ali? Piper is furious with you about something. She doesn't know you're here with Allegra. So whats going on with Ali shouldn't you be with her since you are married to her? And since when does Ali want a restraining order against you?" He held his arms out for the baby.

Andros handed the baby to Erebus. "I don't give a rat's a** about Piper's feelings. Ask her what is going on. She has taken it upon herself to give very involved in the whole situation." He handed him the bag next. "We're legally separated...and there is a restraining order in place regarding Allegra. Honestly...I don't care either..."

Erebus sighed. "Surely you don't mean that. You may just be furious with her. She loves you... maybe too much. There must somewhere inside you that still cares about her. Whether she lives or dies. Things like that." He flung the bag over his shoulder. "Hey there little tot. Want to learn how to speak without speaking?"

"No. I am sick of this all. Seeing....my real family...It made me realize how much I miss them. Home. Our way of life. I'm not human....I never will be. No matter how much I pretend to be! Alicia....Allegra....they are human. I never even wanted Allegra...." He ran his hand through his hair. "I am envious of....Orion and Summer...they are more Andalite....they have everything I want and can never have again. I want to go home. I resent this life forced on me. This role I am forced to play!" He turned away. "I am finding away home. To my real home. My real family. I gave up....decided I should try to accept this life since I would never be the same...but I don't care. I rather be home and not fit in then be the stranger in the alien world pretending to be normal." He grew silent. "I still love Summer. I realized that. I also realized....I hate her. Resent her for what I am. It was why we were never going to work out. Alicia....I thought I could be happy with her. Be normal with her, but I couldn't and I hate normal. I don't know how to be human or normal or whatever it is you people all want me to be!"
He turned once more to face Erebus. "I am going home. I will find my way home. I don't care who hates me or thinks I am a jerk for it. I know who I am. I am proud of who I am. Prince Andros-Zerrith-Ursoraa." With that he turned and walked away. "It's time I reported back home."

Erebus shook his head. His understood how Andros must feel... But he couldn't understand leaving his child though. "And what happens now, Andros? You go back and hope that they have a place for you? What if you go and you find out that they dont want you? That they don't need you anymore? That maybe they want someone that can morph; what will you do then when you have no place there? What will become of you then? Will you just give up the fight and move on with a defeatist attitude and move once more and hope that some place will need you? You said you dont want to be normal good news. There is no such thing as being normal." He knew Andros had no answers for these questions. His plan lacked serveral things that it would need to succeed.
Allegra was reaching for her daddy. "Da da da!" Her little chubby fists were opening and closing as if trying to grab him.
Piper walked out with a flyer in her hand. She was glowering at the flyer. "Erebus.... Didn't Dros say that Next Gen was defeated.....? They are having a reopening party next Tuesday night." She just stared at the flyer.
Alicia was taken back to the O.R. Quickly they went to work on her. ((Can you handle that! pirate ))

To long it had been since Andros had been to his second home. His home away from home. He was glad to be back. He had learned a lot about himself. A lot he thought that would help him. Aid him in his quest to be a better being.
Part of being a better being was being around for his daughter. That was step one. He now understood humans a bit more. He had studied them long and hard. He had studied himself as well.
He had stayed in contact with Erebus. Messages transmitted from their home world to Earth. It took a while but it was worth it. Worth the trouble because it helped Andros hold on to that bit of humanity he had.
He felt he was different. A new and improved Andros. He had come to terms with the fact that he was no longer a soldier. Something that he had never been able to accept or handle. Now....he was a scientist. A researcher. One of they're lead researchers and experts on humans. Other then Orion and Summer that was.
Those two were different as well. Very different. Summer was a lot like the old Summer. The girl she had been before the war. Orion...Orion was a person now. Not a child. He had a personality and ideas of his own. He was a bit wild and rebellious but strong. He also seemed to have Summer's heart.
Andros watched as Orion flew the ship. The boy was a genius. He seemed to excel at anything and everything he tried. It was truly amazing. His and Summer's pride.
The small girl that Summer was rocking to sleep was an addition to they're party but he knew among their Earth family she would be welcomed and well taken care of. Her sleepy gurgles were all that was heard as they landed.

In the years that Andros had been gone Piper had started working at the local hospital. She had taken over her mother's old spot and was well on her way to making a name for herself. She was great around her patients and lived for the rush of an emergency. She was one of those doctors that could go all around the hospital to where ever she was needed.
Erebus had been busy training all the kiddos how to defend themselves. Something Piper really did not like but accepted. Allegra was the one who was the best at learning. She was fast and able to move without much trouble. Something she got from her mom.
Rosie, or RoRo, was now a cheerleader at her school. Matthew, who took so much after Erebus, was the class president. The twins were nearly inseparable but they did take care not to ignore their younger brother, Taylor.
Taylor and Allegra were best of friends even though most of the time Allegra could easily beat the crap out of him. She didn't though, but he knew she could. She normally was the one that beat the crap out of anyone who dared to tease her bestie.
Alicia was still pretty much the same with a few exceptions. She had gotten a MBA which she was very proud of. She was now running several clubs and restaurant chains. She was actually doing quite well for herself even if she was still pissed that Andros had run off.

"And....I am scanning the area once more before we go. The scanners are picking up a few things. All seem to be small creatures. Nothing to be to concerned with." Orion rapidly began to type something on the alien keyboard. "I really don't think anyone here will remember us." He stated finally. Something that had weighed on the young man's mind for the entire journey. "They will remember us. You are a hard person to forget."
"I for one hope no one remembers me...." Summer grumbled as she slowly stood with the girl. She was excited and nervous about this trip. She was glad to be home but knew last time this place hadn't felt like home anymore. Something that really sent her spiraling out of control. It is hard to realize you have no home and no one in the world who cares about you.
"Summer you double checked our supplies and equipment?" Andros watched her nod her head. He really hoped this time would be different for her. He knew how she struggled because at times he felt he was in the same boat as her. With one exception. He had people who loved him. Not that he believed no one loved Summer. She just couldn't see it because of her other issues. "Okay. So....we are all ready to go. Someone....Summer....should transmit the data we've gathered already and record today's entry." He watched her nod again. She handed him the sleeping girl and kissed her head.
A few minutes passed before Summer returned. She handed out the bags and then slipped hers' on. She then distributed the weapons and took the baby. The baby she put in her carrier on her chest.
"I have the locations of our bases and the ship already programmed. If we get separated or anything happens..." Her anxiety was clear. Andros touched her shoulder lightly. Trying to calm her. Humans responded to touch. His words would not calm her he knew but she responded well to touch. "Let's move out...." She lead the way. Orion falling in step right at her heels. The boy was always eager to go and explore. Or fight.

Piper sat down with a cup of coffee. Alicia was with her. It was Piper's day to be on call and Alicia's day off. The two woman watched their children play. "Wouldn't it be nice if those two got together one day?"
Alicia raised an eyebrow at Piper. "Not possible Piper. Allegra is Andros' daughter. Your niece legally... They can't get together." Well they could if Alicia changed Allegra's name and things but she wouldn't. It was far too much trouble than it was worth.
Erebus walked in with Taylor hanging from one arm and Allegra hanging from the other. The kids were laughing and playing happily. Allegra actually was swinging while Taylor just merely hung looking like a posseum. "Anyone missing two seven year olds?" Piper and Alicia laughed together. "Nope. Not at all." Which sent the two kiddos into another fit of loud laughter.
Erebus chuckled at them and the kids. Rosie and Matt were busy with after school programs that they were into. Both of them were involved with the SADD club at school. "Ten minutes and I think Andros will be here." The kids continued to laugh and play but Alicia had stiffened in her seat. She was not happy about Andros being back. The girl could hold a grudge better than anyone. She was going to let Allegra see him thought. He was her father after all.

About nine and half minutes later there was a knock at the door. Andros stood there. Alone. Summer and Orion had went off together. They figured he would need time with his family. Seeing them for the first time in years would no doubt be an emotional moment.
They sort of felt like they were more or less extended family to Andros. Orion and he were close but still at times Orion just felt like his father had never really wanted him. Unlike his daughter. His daughter had been something he knew about and awaited. Orion was sort of just sprung on him.
Andros glanced down at what looked like a watch. It was a watch, or at least that was one of it's many functions. What he was actually using it for at the moment was to track the other three he had left. He couldn't help but feel in some ways they were his responsibility.
Hard being torn between three families, his first and true family on his homeworld. The family he had made early on with Summer, that produced Orion. Then the family he had found himself in with Piper and Erebus which grew to include Alicia and four children among the four adults.
He was nervous. Excited. He had missed them all. He wasn't sure what their reactions would be.
