"aye, good." he responded, then kept an eye out.

the time went by very quietly for another fifteen minutes, and by that time the Regulars had already been put into position nearby the flower shoppe, and some posted as backup on the west and south gates.

meanwhile, the werewolf there was bound and treated by a medic-healer.
"damnit..." he cursed. "this was... just..." he coughed. "a farse! i was used!" he struggled as he was led away. "THE BLOODCLAW TRIBE WILL ATTACK! BE READY--!" he was knocked out hard by an armoured fist.

"shut up!" the guard yelled as he knocked the werewolf out, not realizing that the warning was no threat.

Out of the blue, Keenan's face went as white as her hair. Her eyes widened as she took a startled breath, then collapsed right on top of the dying werewolf. Within a few seconds she was up and at'em again... but something was different. Her face looked shocked and frightened. Not something one was used to seeing on Keenan. She stared at the dying body beneath her and screamed, proceeded by running down the hall like a frightened rabbit.
Keenan had been posessed. If she hadn't been so focused on the new task of decapitating the blubbering mess, she would have noticed the ghost of a little girl coming up behind her. As the girl reached out toward Keenan, she leaned back, making contact and, tadaa! Insta-posession. This was excessively furstrating for Keenan, because she could see out, but she couldn't controll what was going on. Needless to say, she was furious that her new resident was a fleer, not a fighter.

((Chem, Twi and Shan are still at their post.))

Twi spoke into the headset in responce. "yes, know of that tribe. they usually don't act like this, this is incredibly wierd. we'll have to be caefull, and keep a look out for any non-werewolf activity involved."

shortly, an obvious attack from the south came, a march of wolves. the Regulars at the gate called for more backup, and then charged to meet their adversaries. a handfull of the werewolves made it into the city, where they began chasing after anyone hey could see.

Twi saw in the back with his binoculars that a few black-cloaked figures were watching carefully, and seemed to be performing some kind of ritual.

"everyone! activity in the Village Greens! looks like mages!" he hopped down, and casting a spell of fading over himself, began running fleetly towards the mages. however, his path was blocked by a small dark-haired werewolf in hybrid form.

the creature smirked at Twi sadistically, and drew a dagger in a wide sweep. Twi dodged it narrowly, and brought his cane up. running at the werewolf, the two exchanged a flurry of blows.

Eclipse growled and barked monstrously as he battled the Vampire Elf.

Keenan's inhabitor walked dumbly around the streets. The headset had come off while she was running. The child did not understand much, and this pissed Keenan off even further. In her head, she tried reasoning with the child, convincing it to get out, but it wouldn't. The child was too frightened to do anything. It didn't know it was actually dead, and it didn't know what was going on. Keenan secretly liked to help these spirits, but not right now, not with the situation they had right now. However, there was no persuaying the girl, and she stayed, making Keenan's body shiver and her face show fear.
That was exactly what she needed to calm her nerves right now: the inevitable oppertunity to be horribly mauled, or even killed by a werewolf.

"tell your friend yes." the Lycanthrope priest hissed to Twi. their battle continued with dodges an parries, subtle cuts being made on Twi's arm here and there, while occaisional bruises formed on the limbs of his enemie.

"what?" he asked. he didn't understand.

Eclipse knocked Twi down, and stepped on his chest. Twi screamed in pain. Eclipse growled.

"i want this raid to stop. we were tricked!" he said. "those Necromancers are using our tribe for their own ends. and our Chieftain is too weak-minded to realize."

"i know Redtooth! he's a great leader!" Twi coughed. Eclipse growled and pressed deeper.

"regardless, those necros will ruin the tribe! and after all, we both want them to stop killing Gaians." he grinned, flashing his teeth. "what do you say? we take them out together?"

Twi growled, but nodded. he spoke into his earpiece, as Eclipse let him go. "Eilov, i've got the mages, you deal with the civilians."

Twi cast fading spells onhimself and Eclipse, and they went towards the site of the necromancers stealthily. if only i could tell the others to stop but protect Redtooth... he thought.

damn! he thought as he got close. he realy wasn't in a position for this.... he faded completely for a moment, and spoke his responce. "keep the Chieftain, Redtooth, alive. he's Half-Orc, easy to spot. but stop his assault as best you can. i'm working with a sabateur in the ranks right now.... Necromancers are the real enemy. the Werewolves are just pawns."

the trip to the Astral Plane cause alot of static interference with the transmission, but hopefully she could make out his words through allthe buzzing. he spoke as clearly as he could, then phased back out to semi-materiality.

as he and Eclipse got close enough to the mages to strike, they each made their move. Twi grabbed one from behind with his cane, dragged him to the ground and stabbed him in the throat with his Gunblade. Eclipse stabbed two in the back with his daggers and then spined them. two mages were left, and the both began to teleport. Twi shot twice at one, and Eclipse jumped the other. in a split-second moment, both were gone.

"s**t!" Twi cursed under his breath, he quickly began to destroy the altar and diagram, and then began to uncast the circle. ritual work was especially dangerous and unpredictable when interupted, and he wanted to hurry back to the main battle. but he needed to undo whatever ritual was being done here. while he worked to destroy the ritual, he looked for clues by which to identify the spell.

Examining where Keenan had indicated, "Yes, but Twi has dibs. From what I could make out they are the ringleaders." Noticing the blur in the shadows a moment to late the werewolf engaged Keenan, suffering some lacerations it began to circle her, clearly it was paranoid. Transforming his robes into lightweight armor Eilov returned his blade and activated some runes upon his hands, the runes took on the color of pale moon light. Leaping into the air he landed on the werewolves back and dug his fingers into its head, the beasts body began to rapidly mutate, its lycan blood and original DNA fighting for supremacy. After only a moment the beast dropped dead, a twisted mockery of what it once was. "Keenan, do you need any assistance?" Noticing that Twi had begun to destroy whatever the necromancers had been doing he spoke calmly into the headset, "Twi, if necromancers were driving werewolves into an assault then they need bodies, in excess. I can't exactly pinpoint what that circle would have done, but I doubt they wouldn't already have a backup at the ready. They didn't teleport properly either, they wouldn't have gotten far. There is a lot of activity over here but nothing I can't handle, are you injured, I smell fresh blood from your location but I can't make out a lot of details at this range." This time Eilov did hear a rustle of leaves and caught the ambushing werewolf as it came from the tree, grabbing it by the skull he broke one of its arms and drained it dry of blood. Blood still dripping from his mouth Eilov began an incantation, "We are the voice who challenged nations, we are the bodies that went to war, we are the survivors of times passing, we are the Vampires of Nevermoor." Eilov changed, his eyes glowed violet, his fangs became serpentine, and his body became that of a greater demon. Leaping towards another werewolf that was about to break in the door of a house he ripped it limb from limb, eating the parts as he went. Blood soaked he moved on with his onslaught. "Dead gods fury, living mans fear, bloods calling, we don't shed a tear" Eilov became sheathed in violet and vermilion flames and the flames lept from his outstretched fingers, as each touched the ground a copy of himself appeared, one for each lycan slain. "Slay all but the half orc and my comrades, and the citizenry!" The copies flooded the streets of Barton ripping to shreds with burning claws all the werewolves they could find. "We are the ones who let wars rage, we are the ones who stayed behind, we are the ones who died slowly, we are Nevermoors fallen pride." Eilov twisted and writhed as he returned to his previous form. Concerned for Keenan, Eilov made his way to her side examining her for any lethal injuries...
