The Hosts passed the rest of the evening chatting and recovering. They grew very tired, as happened when their bodies, prompted by the virus, wanted to heal. They made their ways to beds that were conveniently there.
Sleep went on well. Their wounds healed quickly, and they slept soundly. It was halfway through the night that suddenly, in a single second, each of them remembered something, something hidden from them: the location of one of the main labs, where a majority of their experimentation had occurred. A field lab, if you will.
As one, they awoke and made their way out of bed. Keeping with the layout of the strange Thief facility, they soon found a garage with two SUVs. They got in and left without a word.
They were on the road before they truly awoke, looking around in confusion. They had, it seemed, sleepwalked to the cars. Now, though, they had a destination: the lab where some of the heinous alterations had occurred, and a target for their vengeance.

Watching Saieve and Clarissa have at it was mildly entertaining and kept Helena's mind from wandering too far. She rose to her feet when they were done, and when Korina used Saieve to make a rather vivid point, Helena could only be glad that she had blades for hands. There would be no grappling for her, and she'd never had any intention to do so. She stretched while contemplating all she'd seen...
Sleep. It had been wonderful. Absolutely wonderful. Until Helena's dreams arose. In them was much history. As she endured trials and hardships that had never occurred, she was beginning to remember things. Specifically, a place. And then her dream jumped. She and all the Hosts had clambered into a pair of SUVs and drove off, headed for that dreaded place her dreams had brought back to conscious memory.
Grissom could feel the steering wheel in her hands, the seatbelt crossing her chest, the rather uncomfortable leather seat. She reached down to adjust it, but only succeeded in scaring the crap out of someone driving in the opposite direction.
That was when she realized there was no dream; at least, the car wasn't a dream. She blinked a few times and flexed her hands on the wheel. It was all real alright. Glancing into the rearview mirror, she saw the outline of a large vehicle mostly hidden by its headlights; the outline looked familiar, which led Grissom to believe it was the other SUV.
Another feeling settled in her then: fury. With memory of the facility's location came the anger that she harbored for those people. It wasn't because they had run "crazy experiments" on her; no, she remembered clearly that they had volunteered. It was because they had simply tossed them back into the real world without any recollection of this awesome power within them. Granted, it could not compare to those Host-Agents, but it was still mighty and could easily strike fear into the hearts of mundane men. Helena and her cohorts had been cast aside without so much as a second glance. They'd given themselves to this cause and had been shunned. The least they could have done was paid reparations. It wouldn't have fixed anything, but at least there would have been some sign that these assholes had feelings.
Too late now. They were going to get what was coming to them: two SUVs packed with mutants hellbent on revenge or justice... or both. For Helena it was a mixture, and she often couldn't discern one from the other in her own motives, but that wasn't important. Right now she had to drive.
"So... everyone comfortable?"

Saieve slowed his driving as he awoke, "Wha?" he mumbled tiredly as he rubbed his eyes with his left hand, "Who's car is this? Why am I driving? Wait...wait...I'm heading to that lab...I think I can get there."
He sped up as he awoke more and more. He took a moment to actually check the seats to see if anyone was with him. Clarissa was slumped in the passenger seat, still waking up, along with several more in the back.. He smirked and gave her a nudge before refocusing on the road.
It's still dark, the roads were empty, might as well speed. Saieve began to push eighty and was still accelerating, he wanted to get there ASAP.

Clarissa was having a nice - well more like horrible - dream. She had a mix of memories (that came and went too fast for her to remember), fears (fighting the others), and anger. There was something about a lab. I know where that lab is. She wanted to go there. Whether it was to break it to pieces, get information, or just cry, she NEEDED to go there. Her dream led her to a car where she got in the passenger's seat. Need to go there. Need to.
Then there was a nudge. She flinched at the touch and woke up. Why'd he have to get me where I'm ticklish. "Oh. We're in a car. Right. I remember that," she murmured. She looked to the side to see Saieve driving the car. Either he's decided to kidnap me, or the dream I had was one that we both shared. Perhaps she should have been more worried about being kidnapped, but with everything that had happened, she was just too tired to care. And just plain too tired.
She stared out the window and thought about the lab. "I had a dream. Or perhaps it was a memory. But it was about a lab and I remember wanting to go there very badly." She turned to look at Saieve, "Did you have the same dream? Is that where we're going?"

Jesse was quiet throughout the whole trip. His thoughts remained focused on the one about the lab. It seemed that this was where things were either going to be answered, or more fighting was going to insue. Either way, he was prepared for the worse.
With his hands folded together in front of him, he noticed that he'd become more and more withdrawn from the group than originally thought. This had to end, but not right now. Jesse never was much of a talker after waking up.

Lance too had slept. His sleep had somehow been dreamless. Something, it seemed, hadn't died - his ability to shirk responsibility. While he had some obligation to do... something with his abilities, he could even end that, if the Thief were victorious. The Thief's way was might makes right. He had been told it was wrong, but it made sense. No one was strong without allies. If he held the voice of the whole people - if all were his allies - then it was right. And the way to be the voice of the people was to be strongest.
Maybe it wasn't perfectly sound, but it was good enough.
"I'm comfortable," Lance informed Helena. "Any idea how far out this place is?"

"...so they just up and left while I was asleep," Korina informed The Thief.
"Operating independently. That's a good sign. I don't really have time to watch over them anymore. Not with this fresh development..."
"Did he threaten you that much?" Korina asked quietly.
"If we're not careful, we'll all wake up dead one of these days," The Thief replied grimly. "You and I... we need to be doing things to distract him. Keep him from realizing what the Hosts are doing. Draw him towards the Eves, ideally. If we don't... well, all this time will have been wasted."
"At least the Adam-team won't be trying to disengage now. We'll have them pinned down."
"I wish we didn't," The Thief sighed.

As they drove, the Hosts grew more and more passionate in whatever emotion they were feeling: rage, sorrow, regret. All in all, that passion began to fuel in them a desire to see that building, and its occupants, destroyed.
They arrived outside of the facility, parking a few hundred yards away to avoid being heard. They moved forward as a group until they reached a fence, and looked through.
The facility was inside, just as they remembered. There were guards, armed with rifles, moving around, and they appeared to be highly competent at that. Sneaking in would be difficult, and the Hosts might have backed down had it not been for their emotions running so high at that point.
They needed in, and fast.

Jesse had been in the back and wasn't providing much to the conversation. Neither was Saieve, now that she was wide awake. She did manage to catch his nod to her question, so she relaxed against the chair and watched the cars go by. There wasn't really much to do or say.
The closer they got, the more excited Clarissa became (though she was trying to suppress it). Now came the tricky part: getting into the building. We could try to sneak in, but we'd have a very hard time not getting caught. And we can't really force our way in thanks to the rifles the guards have. "So how are we going to get in?" she asked the others.
She was coming up with possible plans, but she wanted to know what the others were thinking. Brainstorming would be beneficial to them all at this point. Helena could cut through the fence. Elizabeth could blast open the wall. Saieve, Jesse, and I could protect the others. It was also nice that they had thumbs (not to be rude or insult the sword and shield people). We three could always kill and steal some uniforms. Might make for a good sneak in.

Saieve surveyed the area, he wasn't feeling too confident about this, but he needed to get inside, they needed to get inside. I could probably hop the fence, climb the building, and find a way in up top before I get shot, but what about the others? I'd be ******** if I went in alone, there's sure to be guards with guns in there, too.
"Well..." Saieve began, "we have a few choices, we could kill everyone, or we could come up with a better idea. I think I might have one...it's a little risky, but it could work."
I hope these guards aren't heartless.
"Clarissa, you're fifteen, I'm pretty sure the guards won't shoot you on sight as long as your arms are fine. You could go up to them up front and distract them and we can take care of them from behind and find a way inside...it's just an idea, anyone have anything better?"
What am I going to do once we're inside? The Agents are undoubtedly going to be here before long, and they're going to want in...and I need something to earn their favor for when I convert...I could....I could open the door for them.
Saieve looked rather concerned in his deep thought.

"No idea," was Helena's answer to Lance's question. But she knew she would find it. That same wonderful feeling was pumping through her, that feeling that the source of her awesome & terrible power was guiding her. The artist called it the God Essence, and perhaps with something of a religious undertone.
And there they were, exactly as she'd expected. Once out of the car, it was all Helena could do to not just give Lance a slap on the back and go hacking through the fence and anything else that opposed her (willingly or otherwise). But the others wanted to stop and plan. Fine then, she'd repress her fury... for now.
"We need to play this quick and dirty, I think. They created us, I don't think they're going to play nice, little girl or no. Can't take any chances, but we can't be slow, either. I say we hit the fence running, up and over, and start making our way in before they realize it's best to keep us out. We don't exactly have the opportunity to be stealthy. Too much open space."

They had a few seconds left to make a decision before one or all of them snapped and began to go berserk, such was their overwhelming passion.

Jesse quickly counted the guards guarding the main door. It would be an easy task just to overwhelm them. Possibly take them hostage. But the factor that was still out there was if the others inside would be willing to cooperate with their demands. It didn't matter, time was running out and they needed to get inside.
The fence looked sturdy. It seemed to go deep into the ground underneath and was pretty tall up above. They were going to need to go through. The quickest way to get from point A, to point B, was indeed a straight line. Jesse then looked over towards his blade-hand wielding friend.
"Can you cut through this?" he asked her. "I have an idea, but I need for the strongest of us to roll with me." He waited for an answer from her, before he started in on his thoughts about anything else. He then turned his attention to Saieve. Something was going on in his head, and not just the thoughts of how they could get inside. Interesting that...

Helena grinned, almost sadistically. "I'd be glad to." She patted Jesse on the shoulder to evoke her own transformation. With her arms now in a significantly more deadly molecular arrangement, she could almost feel the intensity of the upcoming conflict. It was some wishful thinking, perhaps, the imaginings of someone who was damn near crazed with the idea of combat at that point in time.

Slicesliceslice and they were through the fence. Helena felt a strange tingle as she cut the chain link to ribbons, but attributed it to adrenaline.
The Hosts stalked silently into the compound. The guards had no warning as the deadly men and women of the Host project fell into them. The first four, patrolling near where the Hosts breached the fence, didn't even have time to draw, fire, or call for help - Jesse caught two in the throat with thrown quills, Helena neatly decapitated another, and Clarissa and Saieve tore the last one apart before he could turn to see his downed comrades.
Elizabeth directed them in hiding the bodies, though it was very difficult for them to resist Consuming them on the spot. Eventually, they pulled them into an open loading dock and stored them in a hall closet. Jesse, Elizabeth, Helena, and Clarissa put their uniforms on and took their weapons; Saieve found a janitor's jumpsuit in the closet and pulled it on.
They would have to split up.
Saieve went out into the dock to move boxes and look busy; the rest headed further into the facility. Things were going smoothly for all of...15 seconds.
The real janitor went into his closet for his customary smoke and sandwich, and ran headlong into four dead soldiers, bleeding all over the floor. Trained as he was, he screamed like a little girl before running out of the closet and to a large, conspicuous red button, which he slammed his palm into.
Immediately, there was a piercing shrill followed by a repeating siren. Red lights in the halls flashed and on every exit point, a metal door slammed and locked into place. Apparently, this facility had a defense system, and it had trapped the Hosts within. Luckily, they were not recognized yet.
Saieve, alone, was much less confident than his compatriots.
