Yeah, really I'm pretty sure he makes tons of obscure references in every single game he makes. >_>
Not to mention the fighting games are riddled with references.
But INVADER FAIRIES takes the cake.

I just finished 12.3 Story with Meilin... LOL! DREAM END! I mean, I figured it was going that way since the background of the clock became all hand-drawn, but... THE CATFISH, MAN! THE CATFISH! XD
Seriously, best story mode ending EVER.

Tsuki THE CATFISH is another reference, I believe. GG And a simple one, in fact. Constantly during SWR, there are references to an underground catfush that causes earthquakes. Meiling just took it to the extreme and thus, CATFISH END. Also, Alice's batshit expression is priceless.
