Keichii nearly bolted, just from Rakutsu entering the room. He was NOT in the mood to have a bitchfest with his sister, so he reluctantly returned to his seated position, albeit shakily. He looked over Rakutsu suspiciously. His indigo eyes narrowed.

"How'd I know if ya did somethin' to it..? Or worse, Akai..." He trailed off at the end. He was attempting to make pleasant small talk in an effort to calm down, but the thought of Akai in the kitchen actually just made his nerves worse.

It's a poor sort of memory. .

Rakutsu gave Keichii a blank stare. was he serious? Out of all the opportunity's she had he thought she'd choose to kill him by food? Though, once she thought about it. . that wasn't really a bad idea. ''Well, to prove it I'll split it with you. . .Though I'm not that hungry.'' she muttered under her breath. without saying anything else. She sliced it in-half with her claw then lightly tossed the first half of it to keichii expecting him to catch it.

Keichii was too shocked by the display of kindness to react and his half of the rice ball bounced off his head harmlessly. He caught it before it could land in his lap and looked down at it as though it held the secrets of the universe.

Then he ate it. Screw uncharacteristic acts of kindness; this was free food.

Keichii brushed the stray grains of rice out of his hair, not that it really mattered much with his white, shaggy cut. He munched on his gift while peering up at Rakutsu.

"Are ya ready ta go home?"

It's a poor sort of memory. .

Rakutsu took a small bite of the roll and grinned. ''Of course not, The moment this war is over I'm disappearing forever.'' She said bluntly. Snow was the last place she wanted to be, Though she couldn't help feeling bad for Keichii. He HAD to stay there. Rakutsu glanced at Keichii giving him a distant stare. Maybe he was okay with it, At least he got his wish. She shrugged her thoughts off and continued munching on her roll.

Disobey me....

After putting Mizuchi in his bed, Suijin returned to her office to find the maps and files she was about to look for already on her desk along with a note. It simply stated that Nyirei would return in a few hours after she got some rest. 'Some much needed rest.' Suijin laughed to herself. She opened the scrolls and began strategizing. Figuring out who would be sent off and which shinobi had no chance of survival out in Snow. Like hell would Mizukage Suijin send ninja into battle who would certainly be killed. And there was no way she was going to leave Kirigakure and it's civilians completely unguarded. During her work, a message came in from Falls. 'Well, well, well... Looks like Kiri won't be the only one attacking Snow.' She set the message on the side of her desk for later use. When the Mizukage had worked out all she could on her own, she leaned back in her chair and slept.

"Lady Mizukage" a voice murmured, interupting Suijin's dreams. Her eyes snapped open as she woke, though no other part of her body moved. It was Nyirei

"What time is it?" she said drowsily, looking out the window. It was still pretty dark out.

"Five-fifteen." As Suijin sat up, a wave of pain swept through her head like a tsunami.

"Uhrrg!" she grunted, clutching her head and falling back in her chair.

"I'll get Shouta-kun." she said softly, truning for the door.

"No- not just yet. He'll be here soon enough." said the Mizukage, easing herself into a sitting position. Her eyes glanced over to her desk and saw a full breakfast, enough for two, already set out for her. She smiled. "Who are you, my mother?" Nyirei let out a quiet chuckle, knowing that that was just Suijin's way of saying- 'thank you.' "Do me another favor, will you? Bring Mizuchi here. I won't be able to leave my office this morning by the looks of this." she said, gesturning to the paperwork that was still out. She still had quite a bit to do in the next forty-five minutes.

Nyirei just smiled and said, "Of course." she nodded and left to fetch the little blue boy from the Kitagawa compound. It had remained abandoned for quite a few decades untill Suijin and her mother had moved back into it when her father died. Suijin ate her meal and opened up a few more files, working on the last details of her plans. A few minutes later, the door to her office opened and the sound of little feet came bounding towards her. They came around her desk and two blue arms wrapped themselves around her waist.

"Hey Mizuchi. How did you sleep?" she said as she petted his head. Suijin looked down at her son with a soft, loving gaze. One moreso than she had ever given.

"Good." he smiled up at his mother as she lifted him into her lap and hugged him tight. She pulled her chair in closer to the desk and said,

"Good, now eat up kiddo." She pulled a bowl of soup in front of him. He ate the meal ravenously. Suijin continued eating her meal as well as she continued working. She finished both her meal and her work at five forty-five. Nyirei moved their plates to a less conspicuous area of the room. There was a knock on the door, Shouta entered. The Mizukage smiled up at him. "Bit early, aren't you?"

"I figured you had a hangover you need me to take care of." he said with a lazy smirk. He walked over to her, made a few handsigns and placed his hand on her forehead. Her facial expression relaxed as her hangover was relieved.

"Thanks. So... you ready for this?" she said with a nervous grin.

"Heh, as I'll ever be... Devonte should be here-"

"Yo!" said Devonte, entering through the window Suijin smashed open last night.

"Sooner than you thought." Suijin laughed. The five of them talked liesurely while they could, then as the other jounin came in, the air of the room grew stern and solemn. Seven of them had some type of sword on their back. Mizuchi stood at attention next to his mother's desk, his sword on his back as well. Amongst the jounin and elite shinobi of Kirigakure was Keizo, a steel guitaur slung over his back. The Mizukage nodded to him. Devonte and Nyirei smiled at the old man as well. Suijin began discussing her plans for attack, there was little contradiction between her and the others. A few questions were raised, but the Mizukage seemed to have answers for all of them. She mentioned all that had occured within the last 24 hours. Her meeting with the Hokage was brought up, as well as the one with the Kusakage and Ruka (though little was said on that), the unnamed intruder who had left the scroll was discussed and so was the contents of the message which Suijin had memorized. That and the Hokage meeting had stirred up much contempt amongst the Kiri officials. Things like- 'How dare she' and 'Who the hell does she think she is?!' were spat out and as much as the Mizukage agreed with their sentiments, she had to quiet their rage to focus on the matter at hand. "Nyirei, send for Kenshin and the Snow-nin. Shouta, you mentioned him wanting to speak with me?" She spoke with a stern, commanding voice. Never wavering and ever-confident. Her posture emminated the same aura. That of a powerful war general, commanding the respect of all.

"Yes, ma'am." Shouta answered. The Mizukage nodded for Nyirei to go. Now, Nyirei had her weapons on her. She wielded two scythes, who's blades were like the crescent moon. Shouta bore his own weapon as well. His was a staff with blades on both ends.

Nyirei opened the door and saw Rakutsu and Keichii already outside the office. "Oh!" she spun around and looked back to the Mizukage. "Lady Mizukage, Rakutsu and Keichii are already here." Suijin motioned for her to send them in. "You may go in." she said to the two of them with a kind smile. Though she seemed just fine, uncertainty still hid itself in her eyes as she turned down the hall.

Keichii didn't jump like he did when Rakutsu approached him; her presence seemed to have calmed him down. The rice ball she had brought him managed to quell his queasy stomach for the time being. Aside from the darker-than-usual circles beneath the anaemic boy's eyes, he was the picture of serenity.

"Sure thing," he nodded to Nyirei as he got up and joined the others in the Mizukage's office.

In his early-morning insomnia, Keichii had been wandering about the village looking for his hammer, which he found over in a rain gutter outside Yugaomaru. It only felt right for Keichii to have it with him for his return to Snow.

The room was pretty full for its size. Keichii had watched a few of them file into the office. Everyone was armed and the air was tense with the electricity of the impending fight. He was pleased to find his rusty, metallic odor fit in quite nicely.

"I take it ya'll've come up with some kinda plan, while ya left me outside stewin'?"

Rakutsu quietly followed Keichii in the room. She stood beside Keichii but not too close to him. Her hands were placed behind her back. Like a fugitive with hand cuffs. She said nothing. plus she was to tired to have any thought process at the moment. If she said anything it would probably be something stupid related to fruit or what year it was. This was because she was up all night Re-making her claws. She calmly gazed at everybody in the room with a light smile and bowed her head.

The Mizukage nodded. "As a matter of fact we have." she said coldly. "Gentlemen, these are the refugees from Snow. Keichii Shiro-" she said gesturing to the white-haired boy. "is the 'acting Yukikage.'" she said, quoting the words that the Hokage had left in the scroll. Several eyebrows raised when they saw the Yukikage. Though most of them held their composure to show some respect for the young kage. One of them, who had been leaning against the wall, strumming away on his guitar the whole time made no attempt to hide his abuntant lack of respect.

"This is it?" he said, running his eyes over the anaemic, white-haired child. "This is all that's left of Snow? Pft. Not much to show for Kage." the old man scoffed. The other Kiri shinobi made no move for him to silence himself, nor did they make any indication that they were against him saying so. Devonte put a hand over his mouth to stiffle his laughter. The Mizukage simply gazed over at the old shinobi. Even with age, the strength of his younger years seemed not to have faded even the slightest. His eyes revealed a warped and twisted soul that longed only to kill you. He continued to play as the Mizukage spoke.

"I need you two to tell us all you can about the Tengu's attack patterns. What kind of weapons they use, any abilities they have and anything I should know before I send my shinobi out to fight them." As soon Nyirei came back in, the Mizukage was ready with another order. "Is everyone back?"

"All but one, my Lady. And they should be arriving any moment."

"Good. Summon all shinobi. They are to be outside my office in fifteen minutes." She pointed out the window then handed Nyirei two list. "These shinobi are to remain in the village, and these genin teams are to accompany us. Understood?"

"Yes, my Lady." she said, bowing. Her eyes were hard, battle ready. She left again to deliver the messages. The Mizukage turned back to Keichii and Rakutsu, waiting for their reply. Shouta looked over at Rakutsu and smiled nervously at her.

Rakutsu simply yawned. Hiding a look of disgust on one side of her face Under her mask. That one comment about her brother sure as hell woke her up. Now peering at the man with the rude remark, She revealed her arm with the bladed claw and raised the long middle blade, gesturing a middle finger. She lightly tapped her lip with it acting as if she was thinking. But the gesture really meant something else. ''Ah, well. . .i guess I'll share what i know.'' she turned a kind gaze to the Mizukage and bowed her head once more in respect. '' Well, Once you kill one. . I'd say about 30 more appear. They are never ending killing machines, they don't need breaks. . One swing of that sword of theirs would knock a grown man off his feet. they don't appear until they are needed and they seem to have a supernatural sense that tells them exactly when they are needed.'' Rakutsu lowered her arm back down and sighed. ''For those Taijutsu users I'd suggest keeping your limbs to yourselves. Unless you want to lose them of course.'' Rakutsu basically re-capped what she said to Shouta at the restaurant. But these guys weren't looking for the basics they probably wanted to know a bit more then she was telling them.

Keichii's stomach twisted in a rare moment of pride in his youngest sister. It made him nauseous. Still, he managed to smirk lightly and keep his attention on the Mist shinobi.

"Ta expand on what Rakutsu was sayin'... when they attacked mai village, they burned it to tha' ground. Not so much in tha lit'ral sense, though, but e'ry one died. E'ry one." he reiterated with a snarl, "Unlaik with normal raids 'n such, they killed all civilyuns an' kept mosta the ninja. There're a lotta shinobi laik maiself in prison camps, set ta bangin' on a glacier all day. No'un told us nothin', but the Tengu weren't beyond lettin' the real slimy 'uns be snitches--keep'n some... faver'd uns set in the tent as long as they kept an eye on us. So un can infer the Tengu're practical folks an' not the kill-em-all kinda monsters ya'll see in the movies."

Keichii shifted as he recounted his time in prison, but made eye-contact again, fiercely, as he spoke of the next part.

"I dunno wai the Tengu kept only ninja in their camps when none'a'us were 'llowed ta use jutsu. They could always counter any kinda attack, sometimes it seemed laik they jus' phazed rait through 'em..." Keichii almost trailed off in deep thought, but kept talking, "In fact, the only thing that stopped them when we was runnin' away, though they killed ev'ryun else... was a plant."

Rakutsu glanced at Keichii out of the corner of her eye and nodded. ''Yeah, there was that too. Somehow it expanded into a humongous barricade that stopped the Tengu in their tracks.'' She paused for a moment. Averting her gaze from everyone else. (''What could have done something like that? Or maybe. . who?'') Rakutsu quickly dropped her pondering and glanced at Shouta giving him one of those ''Am i even helping?'' Looks. It was difficult to go into detail about the Tengu. It was one of those things where you'd have to See it to believe it. Then again, her arm was a clear example.

Keizo noticed the girl's gesture and merely smirked. His fingers kept strumming his strange little tune. Though the notes didn't all quite seem to fit together, it had an entrancing sound that... made sense.

The Mizukage listened intently to the two siblings. '...a plant?' she repeated in her head. Her body almost tensed as she processed their words, but she held her composure. Their enemy seemed powerful. Very powerful. Though she didn't at all doubt the capability of her shinobi -she had the utmost confidence in their abilities- she did question how the coming battle would result. At this rate, she expected the amount of Kirigakure shinobi to return was half or less. It was a little less than she really believed but she found, for strategic purposes, that it was best to put one's estimate a little low. Though her uncertainty was virtually non-existent in her expression, Keizo noted it, as he always did.

"As long as they can be killed, the shinobi of Kiri will keep fighting." he said bluntly to no one in particular, though it was meant as a means of re-assurance for the Mizukage. She silently thanked him. His words helped her relax to the extent she needed, though to everyone else it seemed as if nothing had changed.

Though Shouta's anxiety only grew with their report, he gave Rakutsu a re-assuring look. He didn't like the sound of these Tengu. Shouta just hoped that the children of Snow wouldn't die on their return home. He had grown quite fond of Rakutsu. She had become a very good friend to him in the short time that she'd been in the Mist. The other jounin took in the information with hard eyes. They knew they had to attack soon or be damned, but the information on their enemy was... vague. Looked like they'd have to fight the Tengu face-to-face to really know what they were up against. "Lady Mizukage, do you really believe our forces will be enough to defeat the Tengu? They've already destroyed one shinobi village.." said one of the younger jounin.

"Actually, we won't be alone." The Mizukage held up the message that had come from the Falls. "The Uzumaki alliance has issued the order. All village in the alliance are attacking Snow." Then as a light-hearted jeer she added, "But I don't think we'll have to rely on their help too much." That got a smile out of a few of them.

Rakutsu smiled and quietly listened to their conversations. Then it dawned on her. ''For the short time i was at the camp. .I caused a rukus. . I remember a man poking his head out of the tent. He seemed to be the lead person in charge. Maybe if we catch him somehow. . We won't have to keep fighting the Tengu.'' She stated with a crooked smile and a glint of hope in her eye. Rakutsu didn't really know if there was a chance of finding him, But just maybe. . .If they could somehow catch him the tengu would disappear.

This was the best news the Mizukage had heard in days. Sure it was only speculations that catching this man could end the battle, and it was a bit of a long-shot but it was better than nothing. Besides, taking long-shots proved to be very effective 90% of the time. (whether for them or the enemy... sweatdrop ) It seemed to have caught the attention of the other jounin and clan leaders as well. After all, less fighting meant less casualties. "Could you describe him to us?" Her voice urged Rakutsu to continue, and her eyes locked on the girl's. A plan was already formulating in her head.

Keichii's brow was furrowed in deep thought throughout the exchange. Something was still bothering him.

"Nah, the ol' guy was jus' some trait'r sleazy 'nuf ta rat out fellow ninja. With the prison an obviously failed 'speriment an' no pris'ners left ta guard, guy's prob'ly already bin disposed of..." he thought out loud while disregarding Rakutsu.

"The Tengu're the real problem, anyway... See, the thing is, they're real fast--Ah mean real fast," a thought flashed through Keichii's mind, but he wasn't sure enough to state it outright, "Y'know how when a ninja uses the Body Flicker Technique, 's like a burst a chakra. It's there, then it isn't. Well, the Tengu ain't like that. They're ethereal, that's what. Y'don't even feel their prescence 'til they're there, 'til ya can see 'em. Almos' like they don't... have... chakra..."

Keichii was half-caught in a flashback. He stared up at the ceiling, trying to remember something. There was something, wasn't there...

"Rakutsu..." he began again, eyes still glued to the rafters, "When you an' Akai faced the Tengu... what can you remember 'bout them? Not like fightin' 'er nothin'. What'd they look like? Somethin' specific, like clothin' patterns."
