"Wait, what?" Her comment caught Azzurra by surprise, and the blue female had to hurry to catch back up with her. As they came back into the main room, Azzurra lightly tossed the orange to her twinnie. "I brought something for you, you bottomless pit of a stomach," she commented teasingly.

Aidan was sitting on the couch, and truth be told he hadn't heard a word between the two females in the kitchen! Instead the tall male had been dozing in the living room, half awake on the couch. He felt so tired... it just felt weird to him, since he was always full of energy. Then again, he hadn't been hurt like this in a long time.
However, Aidan perked up when the two returned to the room. And of course, Azzurra was holding some food for him. He grinned and caught the orange, making quick work of the thing. If anything, the female would have a full time job just keeping him fed.
"Auntie Oni left with Alanna. Said she'd be by later after she found a sitter. And thanks. I'm always hungry."

Azzurra laughed. "When aren't you hungry? You're a bottomless pit." She sat down next to him. "All right. We'll have to work on the fliers to find the baby's family. I'd almost forgotten about it, what with worrying about you." She rested her paw gently against his cheek.

Dymphna smiles and rolls her eyes, amused by the lovers. "Alright now kids... I'll get out of your hair and let you get to romantic business. Aidan, I'm sorry to have intruded like I did..." She gives a bright smile to both of them. "But it seems like I've made a new friend, so I'm glad that it happened. Oh, and if your friend ever needs a sitter, or maybe even you guys someday, let me know. I love kids."
((Sorry about the quick exeunt, but I'm not sure when I'll be able to RP at a faster pace, and I don't want to slow you two down any more than I have. Let me know if you'd like to bring Dymphna in again though, and I'll see what I can do!))

Aidan waved to Dymphna, not thinking once that she had intruded on things. The twinnie relaxed on the couch, enjoying Azzurra taking care of him. He closed his eyes and concentrated on her paw on his cheek.
"Naw, I don't think we'll have to worry about that. Oni's going to be a better parent than someone who just up and lost their baby. No one's been asking around town, and if I was a parent, I wouldn't sleep until I had my baby back. I don't think the parents care. Sad as it is to say."
His paw came up and trapped hers where it was. A smile grew on his face, and he opened his eyes to look at her. Romantic business? Oh, right. He had to ask Azzurra a thing or two. But the words stalled, and Aidan didn't know what to say.

"True... but we should still try to find them, let them know the baby is safe. Maybe the one who lost her isn't one of her parents, and the parents don't know yet. Besides, don't you think Alanna would want to know where she comes from, when she gets older? It would be easier for us to find out now." She shrugged. "You're right, it's probably not something we need to rush on if no one's asking about her, but we should still try."
When his paw came up to hers, she gently squeezed his cheek and smiled at him. She really did enjoy his company.

Aidan was flustered, and didn't know exactly what to do. He hadn't really been in this situation before, and felt like his heart was going to pump right out of his chest. Crap. What would Oni tell him to do? Or Hyde? Or Waka for that matter?
Gods. What was he going to do?!?!
"Um, yeah. We should still put the fliers up. We can go out as soon as my leg feels better."
Lame Aidan is lame.

Lame Aidan is hilarious.
Azzurra looked down, her other paw going to check his bandages. "How is your leg feeling? Any better? You're welcome to stay here as long as you need to, until you're feeling well enough to go home." She found she quite liked having him around. Of course, oblivious Azzurra is oblivious - she hadn't figured out where this was going yet, even if it was definitely, definitely headed there.
((Also, I could have her roommate pop in at some point. Miyako's probably asleep in her room, having come in earlier while they were asleep. And Aidan's twin will need to meet Azzurra at some point.))

Bumbling idiot. He smiled at her, feeling like maybe he wasn't at the top of his game because of his leg. Or something like that. Something to that affect. Excuses, excuses, excuses.
"I like being taken care of!!"
Now that was said as a joke. He was even making a silly face for it. After all, if he couldn't be serious, maybe he could lighten the mood with some jokes or something!! That was always good, right?

She laughed. "I can tell you do," she replied with a grin. "But don't think you're getting a free ride. I'm sure I can find plenty of things for you to do that don't require moving." Now she was teasing him back. "Like you can make the flyers. Do something to pay for the amount of food I'm dumping into you." She squeezed his cheek again.

Aidan felt his stomach doing knots. He loved it when she laughed. And her smile... and well... hell. He didn't know what to say, and didn't feel like anything he could offer would work in words. Instead, he acted.
Leaned in, closed his eyes and pressed a kiss to Azzura's lips. He felt like he was going to have a panic attack, but hell. What was done, was done. He pulled back and looked at her. Looking for a reaction at some point. He sure as hell wasn't going to apologize for it.

For a moment she just stared at him, dumbfounded. She had not expected that at all, and yet... it felt right. As this thought slowly formed in her mind, she started to smile. Her heart was fluttering, and she suddenly knew that she'd found her mate. Without giving herself time to think about it, she leaned towards him and returned the kiss.

Aidan relaxed after she kissed him back. She hadn't pushed away, hadn't yelled or slapped him or anything that would suggest she wasn't digging him as much as he was falling for her. But what to say? He didn't know. He chuckled a little, and just pulled her toward him so he could wrap both arms around Azzura.
"You get the feeling that this feels right too?"

She leaned against him, slipping her arms around his waist and resting her head on his shoulder. "Yeah," she murmured, nuzzling his neck. She was smiling so much it almost hurt, but she didn't want to stop. And she didn't need to say anything - just being there with him was enough.

Aidan was relaxing in the early morning. It was much too early for any of his children to be up and moving around. Funny how things had been. The whirlwind of his life after meeting Azzura. His everything, perfect little minx she was. He smirked slightly to himself, and began getting things as ready as possible. He still didn't cook, but instead knew his mate would be up soon enough, so he was prepping everything she would need to make breakfast for the family. Their oldest two, the sons, had found mates and moved out, but the younger two were still here. Though Allison spoke of a possible romantic interest every so often.
He hummed to himself, chopping up the different things they would need for four omelettes, one of his personal favorite things to eat. They were like meals made into one dish, all welded together for ease. No fuse with extra dishes, or anything of that sort. No need for side dishes, minus a few pieces of fruit. And since Aidan had turned into an early riser since Azzura had first had the boys, well... he liked to help out as he could.
