Akutenshi rubbed his cheek lightly, straightening up from the hit. He just grinned and laughed. "I'd like to see you try," Akutenshi said to Zen simply, looking to be quite pleased with himself, despite having been punched across the face. "It'd be interesting to say the least. I'm sure I'd be able to recover from it, eventually. I've never been near death before, what's it like?"

Zensekai was out the second time he'd almost been dead thanks to Ky, but h remembered well the first one. He stopped for a second, from pummeling aku in his own memory.
"That was the first time I saw Atra.... in the dark. He woke me up..." Zen stopped himself, before he thought too much about the memory he didn't want to remember.

"If you hand me a sharp object," Angela said in an friendly tone, "I could help you find out personally."
"Ugh."
She wiped at her mouth again when she realized she could taste him on her lips. He tasted like wine too. She made a face.
It wasn't that kissing her was such a terrible thing. It...actually was just more startling than it had been horrible. But--he hadn't asked permission. He'd just done it. That is what pissed her off.

Akutenshi was too intrigued by Zen's word to notice what Angela had said. "Atra again? You nearly died when you first saw him?" he asked, a bit confused on this part. "Maybe I should go ask him." With that, the man turned to leave to go find him. As soon as he reached the door, he stopped in his tracks. "Exactly how do you get outside, again?"

"Atra.. was the one who saved me...." Zen crossed his arms and swished a hand to poof aku outside to the edge of the crater without really saying anything else. He was finally at an excuse to be rid of him for the time being.
"For the love of Istra he's finally gone!" Zen threw up his arms in frustration.
"Are you alright?" He asked Angela.

"I--I'm fine," she said. "It isn't as if he hurt me. I just...is there something I could use to wash my mouth out?"
That probably seemed like a really odd request but she had to get that taste out of her mouth. It was distracting and disgusting and it kept reminding her of the feeling of his lips against hers. And she really wanted it to be gone.

Akutenshi peered down over the edge of the crater, leaning slightly forward. It was rather dark in there. He couldn't see anything in there from here. This was Atra? It intrigued him, very much so. "Hello! You're Atra, right?"

Cheeva leaned her head back and stared up at Kered, a hand still on his face.
"Did that change your mi-"
Something was wrong. The world around them was wavering and jiggling. The colours slowly dissolved, holes poked through her sunny, beach reality, filling the world with darkness and swirling clouds.
"Kered?" the hands holding her, the face she touched, they were real. But...Cheeva looked up, mouth dropping open as Kered's pointed, green-haired features melted into a red-eyed face, framed with flaming red hair.
Cheeva screamed, slapping the man across the face before tumbling to the ground. Mind-reeling, she crouched in a ball, hands covering her head, screaming.

"Ahh....damn. She woke up," Des said. He'd been hoping they could get back. "Ky--keep an eye, this is going to attract attention and we'll probably need to get out quickly."
He bit his lip and kneeled beside her. Stupid woman. That was the second time she'd hit him too. "Cheeva!" Des said angrily. "Cheeva, stop it! You've got to stop it, it's not safe."

With the sudden screaming, Inutai was jolted awake and he immediately put hands over his ears, pushing them flat against his head. He kept his eyes glued shut, and started to cry, sniffling here and there. Why was there screaming? It was frightening. And loud. Very, very loud. "Yamete, yamete!" he whined out loud, obviously not very pleased.
Toshi frowned, and held Inutai closer, not sure what else he could do. "Sush now, nothing is going to hurt you," he assured the boy, but that didn't seem to work.

A low, chill hiss swept through the hair toward the group, followed by a second ********," Des said, through gritted teeth. "Two of them."
He couldn't see either of them through the clouds yet but he was very nervous. "Everyone get close," he said. "Don't get separated and don't bother to attack. It's useless."
Maybe if he could calm Cheeva down, they wouldn't be seen immediately and he'd have time to open a portal.

Toshi didn't like the tone (or even the choice of words) of Des' voice. He immediately did as he said out of habit, getting closer to Des than he already was. He was trying to get Inutai to calm down, but his attempts were useless. As long as Cheeva kept screaming, it didn't look like Inutai was going to calm down anytime soon.

"What are they Des?" Ky wanted to know, ready to give one hell of a mind battle if she had to.
A falsetto voice boomed from the crater, along with shifting sounds of something very large.
"That's what Zensekai calls me, a bit daring are we?"
Zen poofed him and Angela to a servant kitchen in his palace.
"By all means, wash it off." He pointed to a sink and plopped on a cafeteria table.
"Want anything to eat?"

Akutenshi continued to peer down into the darkness of the crater. He could hear his voice, hear him moving, but he couldn't see him, still. From the sound of it, too, he sounded quite large. Interesting.
"Oh? So what do you call yourself?" the man asked, very curious.

"Wraith worms," he said. "Two. They're still looking for us but if we can't get Cheeva and Inutai to calm down, it won't be long." He looked at the blond woman. "Try to calm her down. It's going to be harder but I'll try to open a portal. We should get out of here now."

Angela grabbed a nearby cup and ran water into it, setting to work scrubbing her mouth out. Stupid...stupid Akutenshi. She started to blush furiously, just remembering that kiss.
"That depends on what there is to eat," she said, turning off the water and wiping her mouth. She turned to look at Zen, rubbing the back of her hand over her lips. "Ah...thank you," she told him. "For...defending me."
"I mean, I was about to hit him myself," she said quickly, for some reason very much wanting Zen to know that. "But um, thanks for doing it for me."
