Haven will have seven different "Districts", excluding the City Gates District.
But, that's what we're dealing with. I'll make sure this "legendary craftsman" is whispered through passing rumors once you reach the city.

I wonder how long until we can actually make use of the legendary craftsman, since so far all we have is a magical bowstring XD.
But a general goods store would be great, I like to try to make creative use of ordinary objects, and of course: you never know when you can use some rope. wink
Oh, on the subject of gear, is our puppet cleric going to give up his magic mace to the party if Onner doesn't come back?
Oh right, to re-iterate: We're headed to Haven to inform the Magic Academy...or Council...or whatever we find when we get there, that there's another crazy, power hungry Necromancer or Sorcerer going around doing evil things.
But we'll probably just end up falling into whatever situation is going on in Haven Already. (Speaking of which, I wonder if the thieves guild would be willing to teach a monk to lockpick -_-)

Once you reach Haven, I won't make you do anything in any particular order, but once you go somewhere, and choose that quest, you will be stuck on that line for awhile.
Use of everday objects will merit faster xp gain, but it won't be a necessity in any of my quests.
Lastly: You will never learn things beyond your classes capabilities razz lol. Plate wearing wizards and lock picking monks will not occur in this RP.

now if this was REAlly based on DnD, you would not only be able to MULTICLASS, but you would also be able to take feats, skills and all sorts of abilities from whereever you want to totally break the system lol... seriously though...you can have a character that has 23 AC at level two.....wearing absolutely NOTHING...no armour bonus at ALL.....its sick....and the worst part is...its totally in character to do it....

This is a medley of old school DnD, no feats.
The LOWER your AC is, the better it is.
Memorized spells do not require "spell components" but you don't solely have to write down all spells, some come with level.
I pick and choose, that's why this is an "adaptation" not a copy.

Hehe I was just making a joke...a passing comment on the inadequacies of the recent editions of DnD which heap add-on after add-on until the core rules are so distorted, they don't even matter anymore. So are you saying you are calculating thaco? Dear god, I thought only the oldest of DnD players still new that ancient art...

I think we're mostly doing "20s win" rule with situational and equipment consideration in place, and taking out some of the more confusing things that require saving rolls vs hit rolls vs THAC0
Which is why I can't flurry, but can still stun with the best of them.

(Saving, acrobatics, the will one XD?) and...? Thaco...or more accurately, THAC0 is short for To Hit Armour Class 0 and was the primary way of calculating combat rolls in first and second edition Dungeons and Dragons. Basically, you would calculate what roll you would need to wound a creature at armour class of 0, then the creatures armour class would be deducted from the roll and there you have it, you combat roll. At least that is how I figure it. I never learned.
