Chao tilted her head and then her face twisted, "oh hael, ew! Please tell me wasn't-ugh!" She shuddered at the mental image of what Liam had probably been thinking off.
Reid gave his Mu a questioning look, wondering what had caused that reaction.
"A Magical Mishap is the result of some sort of magical accident, like using the wrong spell ingrediant or someone tripping up during a summoning, exactly how it sounds."

"Oh...aheh..." Liam laughed nervously and scratched the back of his neck, catching his fingernail on an old round scar. He just couldn't catch a break...
"Sorry, Chao. I...m' mind...I'm a guy, alright?!" That explained everything. Really, it did. That didn't stop the embarassment, "We gonna keep idlin' or are ye gonna bring me to Rabid?"

"That doesn't remove the mental images your words have branded my mind's eye with," Chao grumbled, hugging Reid. Heaven, she was still a virgin thankyouverymuch.
She gave Liam a look and sighed, deciding she might get an explanation over with quickly, "just, here's the thing about Gaia, kids, quite literally, pop up where you least expect it. Stationary shops, bakeries, there's an impressive list I bet. I don't know why, something about Gaia in general I guess," another shrug, "so just, yeah, keep that in mind, alright?"
She pulled out a key from her pocket and headed over to the closet, clicking it into the lock and opened the door, making a motion for Liam to go through first.

"I'm sorry...really," Liam sighed and stepped into the closet. Portals, magical children, and 16-year-old virgins...or so he was guessing. Okay that was a mean assumption. Just because she didn't have men pawing at her feet didn't mean she--
He made a deal with himself to never think again. Ever.

The sudden desire to give the older man a swift kick in the a** struck Chao, though she wasn't quite sure why, as he'd just apologized. Giving her head a shake she headed into the closet, shutting the door behind her.
The trio emerged in Reid's room and Chao took the lead again, navigating around the piano that currenly lived in the apartment like room and over to the door, opeing it she headed out. "Her room is just up on the next floor."

"Lead the way, madam." Yeah, he was getting more nervous. He felt suddenly nauseous, but forced himself to calm down. It was just Rabid...oh God. He gagged and inhaled deeply, forced his heart to slow down, dammit. This was gonna be a whole lot harder than he'd originally thought.

Reid scrambled up his Mu's chest to ride on her shoulders as soon as she exited the room, legs wrapped a little ways around her neck while his hands latched onto her dark hair.
Chao grimaced as a few strands were tugged harshly but kept leading the way up the stairs without comment.
Reid looked back at the sudden gasp and gave the Li-man a concerned look, "Li ki?"

Liam opened his eyes and peered up at the boy. Li? Must be him.
"Yeah, little guv'," he forced a smile, "I'm fine." He tried to keep a happy step as he followed Chao and Reid, but his eyes had turned fairly glassy. He had to keep it together as best he could, probably more for the kid than anyone else. Kids, he reminded himself. Oh, God...

Reid tilted his head, the Li-man didn't seem fine... Hrming to himself the firefly gave his wings a few pensive bats then hopped off his mother's back and glided over, latching onto the top of the Li-man's shoulder in a messy sort of landing.
Chao blinked and paused as her son's weight was suddenly gone and looked back, watching Reid scramble to find balance on Liam's shoulder.

Yeah, there's a nice logic. 'He's not feeling so hot, so let's land on him'. Liam gave a short laugh and stood still, waiting for Reid to catch his balance or get situated or...something. It was a good thought deterrant, at very least.
"I'm okay, really! Are you, Little Guv?" That was officially Reid's nickname now. Hah.

Reid finally scrambled so that he was up on Liam's shoulders and then inched over until he was sitting behind the man's head, much the way he been with his Mu.
"Reid ki! Bu' now Reid'n'Li-man are ki tog'her!" so thusly, they would be more than ki! Reid grinned and glowed warmly, proud of his logic.
Chao laughed lightly and began back up the stairs again once Reid had situated himself, "you have been sucessfully latched onto, now you'll never be rid of him."

"Exactly," Liam's smile became wider and more sincere as he turned to Chao, "I's alright. I'luv kids." He was careful to keep his balance and avoid bashing Reid's head against the ceiling as he climbed the stairs. Out of habit, he rested his hands on his own shoulders, ready to catch the boy if he fell. He felt the rigor setting in again and he cracked his neck loudly. That was the downside to un-killing yourself.

"Aha, you're really quite good with them," Chao replied and hopped up the last of the stairs, heading on a few feet ahead to rap gently on the door.
Reid nodded, glad Li-man saw the logic and agreed as well. He hunched down a bit to avoid the ceiling, but generally was enjoying himself on Li-man's shoulder. He wasn't that much bigger than Mu, but the extra height did allow him to inspect the ceiling with a bit more closeness than before.

Liam huffed and shoved his hands back into his pocket, stopping outside the door. Inhale, exhale...it was all he could think...which was probably a good thing, because he might had suffocated had he not been making a conscious effort to continue breathing regularly.
Rabid was in her room at the dining table, lazily printing the photos the uploaded from her camera minutes before and quietly crying her eyes out. The fact that 90% of said photos were of Liam certainly didn't help the recurring endless bouts of deep depression. She didn't hear the knock at the door.
Ike's ears perked at the noise outside the door. Was somebody coming to visit? He looked toward Mummy and huffed sadly. There was no way he was gonna make her get up again. The boy stood from where he had been silently strumming his bass guitar and went to the door, opening it slowly. His heart leapt when he saw the familiar faces...and the...not-so-familiar one.
"HIIIII!"

"Ike!" Reid cheered, distangling himself from Li-man's shoulder to glide down and pounce his friend, though he managed to prevent them from falling to the floor this time.
Grinning at his best friend he looked up towards the adults, "this is Li-man! Mu says he knows Ms. Mor'b."
Chao grinned at the energetic greeting and poked her head inside, "hey Morbid!" she called in greeting, not quite able to see her friend from her current angle. "I brought someone up to see you, he says he knows you."
