Leon laughs, and helps dust off his papers.
"You know, I need to get a friend, like a Hollow-dog." He murmurs.

"A hollow dog? Aren't most dogs good, do they wouldn't come here?" Reena asked, tilting her head to the side in question.
"Well..." he trailed off.
"Why not create one? You're always saying how great you are with this project and everything. I'm sure creating a puppy would be easy for you," Reena smiled at him and continued her work.

Isaac nods.
"Two reiatsu readings, yeah. But the one isn't Chou's. It's too sinister, and if it's not controlled, it'll dominate her body." Isaac rubs his cheek, trying to keep from falling asleep. "And we're limited to telling only few, but I'd say it'd be easier to just keep it hushed up for now."

Jushiro would nod and look over at Chou's sleeping body, and smile sadly. He knew what would happen if the reiatsu were to consume her body, they would be forced to hunt her down and kill her.

He clenched his eyes shut, it was painful to think about, but why was it? He had only met the girl a few hours ago, but he seemed drawn to her. Although he had no idea why he was drawn, something about her seemed to attract others, he couldn't put his finger on it. She was just so good natured it made it almost impossible to see her as what the history books put down as a Quincy.

He didn't understand why so much pain was involved in imagining having to destroy her. He sighed and then looked back over to Isaac, clearing his throat. He would reach his hand behind Isaac's head and smacked him softly.

"Yes... it would be best to keep it hushed for now... by the way... you don't have an excuse for forgetting your Japanese manner's... she should still be addressed as Murisaki- San... please do not forget that. I let her get away with that because she isn't native to Japan..."

He'd sigh and look distracted for a moment, gently biting on his thumb.

"Isaac- Taicho... Do you remember the story I told you about? About the lord who gave his son's soul to a dragon in exchange for half of it's heart? For some reason my mind keeps being brought back to it... I must have been about six when the idiot did that. Although he couldn't have been much of an idiot if he took us over like that...

I remember watching his son grow up with me in my home town back in the world of the living. He always seemed so odd, he tended to only play on his own and would randomly look ill at times. At first we all thought he was going to die but as he got older his behavior got stranger and stranger. One day we all could have sworn his eyes had become blood red and his ear's pointed... However we still didn't know what to think, we thought the lord's son had been replaced by a demon... So one day all the men went to the lord's castle and raided it looking for the boy to slay him... all I remember of that was that the house disappeared in a strange light. I don't remember what happened to that boy... it's been a long time..."

His eyes closed softly in thought as he began to think the situation over, his face then looked calm. He was starting to scold himself in his mind for even thinking about that incident. Why did he even bring it up let alone think of it. He sighed and then looked at Isaac carefully.

"Murisake- Chan is a very kind person from what I have seen of her. She also seems very determined, I think she would make an excelent Taicho if she were a Shinigami. However, that vendetta she has growing in her heart could be a very bad thing, she needs to remember that she is still alive for a reason...

I think we should both take better care of ourselve's while she is around, she may become very sad if we don't... but why she would care about strangers is beyond me and my imagination..."

He looked stumped by this, he then sighed and walked over to the bed he had been staying in and sat down on it.

"So what do you make of all this Isaac- Taicho...?"

Isaac wasn't really being attentive until the story.
"She could be a decendant of the kid. My take on all of this? I could try to take the reiatsu out with my shikai. If I'm precise enough, I can take it all out, but the thing is, now that I know her, I'd hate to do it to her." Isaac steadies himself, on the verge of falling asleep. "She's a nice girl, but, like her existence, we need to tell nobody of this.

Leon smiles, and laughs.
"Not as easy as it seems, you know. I'd need to find a dog, and kill it. The I would have to imprison it there, or forcibly pull it's Chain, then tame it."

"Oh yeah? How's about this!?" Tsu snatched the shrimp out of her shopsticks and tossed it into his mouth. "Ooo Thhoww!" (Too Slow!) Tsu swallowed but began coughing right after, part of the tail being stuck in his throat. He reached for a cup of tea, downing it in one gulp. After coughing a bit more and catching his breath, looked over at Hikari. "Heh... My shrimp..."

Her eyes widened in concern and for a moment, the healer in her took over. "Baka," she chided, patting his back as he had the cup of tea in hand. "How many times have I told you to chew while eating? Now you're choking, too!" When she was sure he was all right again, she grabbed for another shrimp and grinned at him with the tail sticking out of her mouth in victory. "Ah waaah! (I win!)"

Tsu chuckled a little bit before taking another bite. It had been a while since the two of them had been able to sit down and enjoy a meal together. Normally their duties kept them apart. And with all that had happened that day already, he knew the eleventh squad was going to be busy once they figured out who's spiritual pressure that was earlier. Tsu poured himself another cup of tea and took a sip. "Hmm... You know, I had a thought about what we were talking about earlier. Your Bankai and all. Have you talked to Keikoku about this? She might know a bit more about this. I've also got a few ideas about it, but I can't be sure about those until I actually see it."

"A little bit. She understands that I'm scared and all. She's a very understanding friend to me. She even told me that she feels bad that I'm so upset." Hikari hung her head. "She thought I was angry with her. I'm not. I'm more angry at myself. I know I'll have to get over it, but... I'm scared of what will happen." Looking back up, she narrowed her eyes at him. "Anyway, why are you so bent on seeing my bankai anyway?" Her expression changed into a sly smile. "Oh, I see! You have a crush on Keikoku and wanna see her! Wait'll I tell her!" She began teasing Tsu, trying to back away from the topic. She figured it wouldn't deter him for long, but she maybe could buy herself some time before he brought it up again? She hoped so anyway.

"Oh? Figured me out, did you? Heh. Well, Keikoku's cute and all, but Hoshokusha's more my type." Tsu grinned a bit as he joked back. He took the hint about the Bankai and decided to back off a bit. I guess she'll talk to me when she's ready... "So.. What do you make of that Quincy woman?" Tsu started in on his rice, waiting for Hikari to respond.

Hikari smiled, grateful that Tsu wasn't pushing the issue for now. "I know how you hate the Quincy, but just because it's what she's been taught to do, I don't believe that she's necessarily a bad person. Maybe she didn't even know that what they were doing was interrupting the balance between souls. You never know." She nibbled on another shrimp deep in thought. "What do you think?" She lowered her voice. "And what did you think about that reiatsu that Hitsugaya-sama and the others went to investigate? I half expected you to be out there with Zaraki-taicho."
Tsu snorted. "You really think I'm going to go follow Captain Zaraki around? Especially if Yachiru's the one giving him directions. I doubt anyone'd ever hear from me again." Tsu smiled a bit. "Besides, even if I went with him, we don't know who it was, though I have a few ideas... Didn't you think it felt familiar? I know I've felt it before. It's someone I know. Just thinking about it isn't going to figure it out. But as soon as I meet with that person again, I'll know for sure."

Just thinking about it isn't going to figure it out. But as soon as I meet with that person again, I'll know for sure."

Hikari sighed and grabbed a stack of paper work, starting to fill it out. "I wish I knew who it was. But that girl, as much as I think she is nice, there's something wrong with the reiatsu she is putting out." Once she had gone through that stack, she reached for another when a hell butterfly fluttered in through the window. "Oh! It's from Unohana-taicho!" She frowned when it gave her the message. "Hitsugaya-sama has returned from investigating the reiatsu out there and now he's invesigating Chou." Her eyes widened. I guess Unohana-taicho is sending me there to keep an eye on Hitsugaya-sama, since if anyone would be able to reason with him out there it's probably me... She stood, rather depressed that the time alone with Tsu had been cut short. She hesitated for a moment, staring back at him, a blush forming on her cheeks. "Tsu-kun... um... I'm sorry... I know how you don't like dealing with him and all. If you'd like I can come visit you outside the 11th Division, or if you want to come with..." Hikari didn't want her time with Tsu to end. In truth, she was a little irritated at Hitsugaya. She may owe him her life, but this was getting ridiculous!
Besides, she'd had some other things to talk over with Tsu. She was thinking of accepting a mission to the world of the living, and wanted his approval on that. Actually, she was a little scared and was perhaps hoping that he would go with, so she wasn't assigned with someone else. She didn't like being that far from home, but she wanted to get more active in some missions.
She headed out, pretty sure that Tsu was following her and ran into the captain in question. "OOF!"
"Misuzu, you're clumsy."
"Eh? Sorry, Taicho," she said softly, then her tone rose again. "Hey, wait a minute! That girl isn't really up for interrogations, Hitsugaya-sama."
"I would just like to observe her for a minute."
"By the way, um, sorry how I acted earlier, and um... thanks." Hikari said shyly.
He stared ahead. "You spend too much time with Hinamori. Her impulsiveness is rubbing off. Stop that."
She said nothing and hoped that Tsu was following. She wanted to spend some more time with him to talk about that mission!
"Misuzu, about your bankai, you really should..."
"OH! Look we're here!" Hikari interrupted and sprung ahead, giving the captain the distinct feeling that she did NOT want to talk about it. "Please, do be careful, and don't scare the poor girl either!"

Captain Hitsugaya entered in with Hikari just as they were talking about draining the girl and Hikari rushed over to where Chou was. The other captain just stared after his former squad 10 member. "She is dangerous like this." He remarked. "Something has to be done. Something about this girl makes me uneasy. Misuzu, were they planning on having her reiatsu be drained? Perhaps you should."
"I-I can't do that! She isn't an enemy!" Hikari cried out and ran back over to where Hitsugaya was. She clenched her fists. "I can't stand by and let you do it either, Isaac-taicho!"
"Misuzu, need I say it again?" Hitsugaya raised an eyebrow at her. "Hinamori's twin."
Her hands fell to her sides. "Sorry," she mumbled.

Jushiro would nod as he say Toshiro walk in with Hikari. He already noticed that Chou's reiatsu had already dropped to where her's should naturally be at, so why was Captain Hitsugaya coming to investigate her. He nodded at Isaac, his silent way of telling him it was a secret that needed to be kept between the two of them. He then stood up and placed a hand lightly on captain Isaac's shoulder and spoke to Toshiro. He was hoping Isaac would get the hint he was giving to not say a word about what he had said.

"Hitsugaya- Taicho... what has decided you to grace us with your presence?"

Jushiro already knew the answer, he just wanted to know wether Hitsugaya would dare to say it out loud in front of a few other captains about what he was planing on doing.

"As you can see for yourself... the girl is harmless... she has been resting like that for hours and we are all still in one piece..."

His eyes wandered to Chou sadly as he heard her start to moan in her sleep once again. He knew right away she must be having another nightmare.

Chou would be having the same nightmare as she was having before, only this time a giant black hand would come from the ground threatening to grab her. She believed herself to be a small child so she huddled in a ball as she saw the handle of her fathers blade land in front of her. Her heart pounded as the hand drew closer and she heard a voice echoing through her head as she found herself drowning in pitch black water. She could not feel her body, so she could not move, she could only watch herself sinking deeper and deeper into the black water helplessly. Her hand was clutched tightly around the handle and it began to flash white slowly as she heard the voice echo through her head. It would be the voice of a young man, deep and strong.

"Do you want to know who killed your father...?"

"Yes..."

"Do you want to live...?"

"Yes..."

"Do you want me to save you...?"

"Yes..."

"Do you want revenge...?"

"Yes..."

"Call me..."

"Who are you...?"

"Call me..."

"Call who...?"

"...tsuki."

"Tsuki...?"

"Yes..."

"What will happen...?"

"I will protect you..."

"Protect me... Why...?"

"Call on me!"

Chou would end up screaming on the top of her lungs, as she woke up.

"TSUKI!"

She would be covered in sweat, as she sat up in bed, taking in deep breaths of air as she struggled to breath. Jushiro would quickly move over to her and look her over carfully, kneeling next to her bed, gently holding her hand.

"Murisake- San? Are you ok...?"

Chou would look over at Jushiro, and blush bright red as she realized it was just a nightmare. It seemed so real... her fathers head, the black water rushing into her lungs. She forced a weak smile as she spoke hoarsly.

"Y-Yes... I'm alright... it must have been a nightmare. Thank you Ukitake- Sama..."

She would spot Toshiro and smile weakly at him, rubbing the back of her head.

"Hey there... I'm Murisake, Chou... it's nice to meet you..."
PostPosted: Mon Aug 03, 2009 8:07 pm

Isaac stands in silence, trying to stay awake. Two seconds after Chou said hello, he lets out a sigh of pain, experiancing a nosebleed, and falling back onto Chou's feet, asleep. His dream flashes in front of his mind's eye, calming him.

"Hey, it's okay. Duty calls and all..." Tsu spoke to Hikari as they left her office. He was about to say something else when Hikari ran into Toshiro. "Clumsy?" Tsu muttered to himself. "Maybe if he wasn't so close to the ground, other people might see him..." The last was muttered under his breath. Though, he hoped that the Captain heard him.
Tsu continued to follow Hikari, but since the tenth squad's Captain was there, he let himself fall a little behind. So much for spending some quiet time alone with a friend. "Oh well... there'll be other times..." Tsu looked up, seeing that they had arrived and that the other two had already entered. Quietly, he slipped in and took a spot in the corner of the room out of everyone's way, but close enough so he could still hear what was going on. Seeing Captain Ukitake, Tsu gave him a nod and looked around the room at the others, not seeing anyone else he really respected. To be fair, there wasn't many in the first place, but honestly, he just didn't care to be here much longer. Too many people he didn't like normally made him start to get aggravated, and that was the last thing he needed at the time. He had planned to leave until he caught on to what was going on. Apparently, the Quincy girl could be a danger because of her spiritual pressure... And she was a Quincy so she was technically their enemy. An idea formed in Tsu's head and he was surprised that none of the others had thought of such a simple solution. Against his better judgement, Tsu spoke up. "You know, there is a much easier way to go about this you guys..." Tsu looked around to make sure he had everyone's attention.
"The problem seems to be her spiritual pressure, right? We don't know what she's capable of. And she is a Quincy, after all, so she can also absorb reishi and get even stronger by it. Why not kill two birds with one stone, as they say. We do have The Tower of Penitence. Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's made with seki seki rock, meaning that she won't be able to use any of her abilities while she's there, and she won't be able to absorb anymore reishi either. Also, as long as the door's open, squad four can get in there to tend to her wounds." Tsu gave the room one more glance before turning and leaving the room.

Isaac stands in silence, trying to stay awake. Two seconds after Chou said hello, he lets out a sigh of pain, experiancing a nosebleed, and falling back onto Chou's feet, asleep. His dream flashes in front of his mind's eye, calming him.

Ignoring Tsu's comment as usual, the captain didn't speak until he'd made it into the room.

When Ukitake addressed him, he sent a glare in the direction of the other white-haired captain. "It makes no different if she is a threat now or not. What is important is that I could feel her reiatsu from across the Seiretei before, even when I was caught up in different events. I came to investigate now that the other matters were... tied up. For now she isn't a danger, but for how long?" His eyes narrowed and he folded his arms.
"Hitsugaya-sama, please don't tell me that I have to..." Hikari pleaded softly. "I don't want to..."
When Tsu spoke up, Hitsugaya was the first to agree. "I believe that the Squad 11 member here has a good suggestion," he said nodding. He glanced at Hikari, who still kept her pleading eyes on him. "If we were to do that, we wouldn't need Misuzu or the other captain here to drain her."
Hikari sighed in relief, and managed to smile at Tsu, but it didn't last long when Isaac passed out again. "Isaac-taicho!" She rushed over to his side frantically. She grabbed a wet cloth, cleaning the blood off, and began a healing kido spell, attempting to ease the boy's pain.

"Are you sure you want to go through all that to get a dog?" Reena asks, finishing her work, most of Leon's papers dusted off. She nodded at her work, and left the rest, plus the floor, to Leon. She sat on a stool that was discarded in the corner.

"True. I might just get a lizard one then. They're abundant here." Leon says, kicking flour around.

Isaac wakes up to Hikari healing him. He moans when he's hit with a wave of pain.
"It feels like my head exploded." He says, trying to push the pain away. "And that's why, every hour, I fall asleep, or this happens." He tries to smile, but it turns into a contorted look of pain.

"I'm sorry," Hikari said softly. "You should sleep then." She continued her healing and hummed quietly, suddenly not wanting to sing with a bunch of people around. Not to mention, with Hitsugaya there. She loved singing for Tsu, when he would let her, but with Hitsugaya she felt more self-conscious and nervous than anything. One of her bigger fears was having him as a patient and being told to sing. She'd had a couple of nightmares about it, actually.
Luckily, he didn't seem to hear the quiet tone of her humming, or wasn't paying attention.

Chou looked over at the Toshiro as she heard him speak, for a moment she looked scared, she then relaxed as she looked over to Ukitaki and then over to Hikari. She would sigh as she heard what they were discussing, she couldn't make out all of it, her Japanese vocabulary was limited. However she could figure out what they were saying just by the expression on their faces. She saw Isaac fall on her feet, his blood leaking all over the white sheet's at her feet. Her eyes widened as she saw the pool of blood and she bagan to see her fathers head talking to her. She began to panic and pulled her feet back and hugged her knees to her chest and began to sob. She began to repeat in English over and over. She heard Isaac's name and began to try and break herself from her thoughts but it seemed almost as if she were locked in it.

"Blood..."

Ukitake would nod to Hitsugaya, looking over at Chou a few times and then spoke calmly.

"Your right Hitsugaya- Taicho... However, there may be a few draw backs to that plan. It may be the best thing we have for right now though... we really have no time to waste on this do we? We have another issue with that large reiatsu that has been floating around. So I suppose we have no other choice then to keep the Quincy girl in the Tower of Penitence..."

Chou would understand the word Penitence, and look a bit worried. She knew that word very well, it was one her father had used often whenever he saw blood, he would then ussually scrub his hands raw after that. She looked down and began to wonder, were they going to punish her? Did she do something wrong. She then held her head down and spoke softly.

"I'll go... I wouldn't want to be any more of a burden then I have been..."

Ukitaki's head had turned at this, he'd raise an eyebrow, the last quincy he had encountered was much more stubborn then this. She certainly couldn't have been related to the lord he kept thinking about, that man was way too prideful to give up that easily. Perhaps she was just a walking time bomb of reiatsu after all. He turned his head back to Hitsugaya and then spoke calmly.

"There you have it... and as soon as she's healed she can go back to where ever she came from..."

He turned his back and walked out of the room past them, he knew by what she said she had no where to go. However what did it matter, she wasn't his responsibility, so what was it that made him feel so guilty. Was it the boy's face that he had seen all those years ago? They shared the same eyes, ones that held an empty loneliness. He shook his head and walked out he had other things to do.

Chou would see Ukitaki walk out and wondered what was going on. She couldn't keep up with what they were saying, her head kept spinning as she felt heat rise to her ears, and they began to ring. The word penitence rang through them over and over. She looked down sadly and then looked over to the corner where her pack sat, she would see a small amount of flashing light coming from her bag. She wondered if anyone else could see it and then the voice from her dream spoke to her again. She watched everyone around her talk, but no sound came out, she felt almost as if she was somewhere else watching this event taking place.

"Chou..."

"Tsuki...?"

"Yes..."

"Can they hear us...?"

"No they can not..."

"..."

"They are talking about you right now Chou..."

"Why?"

"They are afraid of you... they are saying you don't belong..."

"Why would they be afraid of me?"

"Because they don't know you like I do..."

"Oh..."

"They want to lock you up somewhere you can never leave, they want to kill you Chou..."

"Kill me? Why would they do that they are my friends...?"

"Don't be foolish... do you honestly think there are people who consider strangers they just met to be their friend?"

"Why not...? They are my friends..."

"You poor naive child... not every one is like you..."

"You still didn't answer me as to why they want to kill me..."

"Because you are different and they fear you... they want you to repent for that... I will protect you if you want me to..."

"No... they wouldn't do that. Mr. Ukitake, Little Isaac, and Miss. Misuzu wouldn't let them..."

"You mean like Master Daichi didn't abandon you...?"

"He didn't leave me... Master Daichi would never do that..."

"He tried to kill your father..."

"Your Lying!"

"Am I now...? Did you ever wonder why he looks so much like your father...?"

"Tsuki stop it!"

"It's up to you... continue to be naive. If you need me... just call out my name and I'll help you. You know where to find me..."

The glowing from her father's sword handle would stop, and the voice would be no more. Instead the voices of everyone around her began to flow out into the air once more breaking the silence. She watched them carefully and she saw Isaac on the bed. She would see Hikari healing the poor boy. She weakly reached a pale hand over for the boy, her entire body shaking in fear as she gently ran her hand against the boys head softly, trying to help comfort his pain.

"Hang on Isaac-san..."

((By the way for those who have been confused about this... Ukitaki is not interested in Chou. I gave a small explaination as to why Ukitaki was being so nice in this post. However it is very very brief, however if you don't catch on and ask me later I will care to explain.
Problem solved...))

Isaac coughs a little, and moves Hikari away.
"Last time that happened, I was with Retsu, and I bled all over her robes." He laughs a little, and turns to Chou, winking. "I'll be okay." Then, he leans in a whispers softly to her. "They put you in the Tower, I break you out. 'Kay?" He laughs softly, and stands up, wiping invisible dust from his robes. "So, Tsu, you still mad, or what?"
