Toshi glanced at Angela as she asked him a question. "He does not know much of the outside world, so all this. . . incessant bickering and strange happenings is most likely scaring him," he told her. Though, this was just his speculation, he figured it was most likely the case. Through their link, he could feel his fear and confusion, though his fear was more prominently being projected.
The young boy attempted to curl up tighter as Angela spoke to him. He whimpered slightly in response to her. She'd been one of the ones spouting out things he couldn't understand, but at the least she hadn't said too many confusing things. Because of this, he wasn't that scared of her, just, unsure of what to think. Still, he countinued to cry into his legs.

Angela's expression softened and she moved a little closer to Inu, sitting nearby and pulling her legs up to her chest. She didn't touch him.
"There are a lot of mysteries in the world Inutai," she said softly. "And many of them are very frightening, that's true. I can understand why you're upset." She tipped her head slightly to the side. "Everyone here is worried and scared. That's why it's so easy for us to argue with each other. We don't know we're supposed to do."

Basti was confused as hell. One minute, he had been on his way home from dropping Isolda off at the House of Bricks, and the next, he was falling. He never fell. At least, he hadn't in years. About 18 years. But here he was, falling toward a clearing he knew wasn't on his route home, one because by the firelight, it didn't look remotely familiar, and two, because it was night outside, and only moments ago, he had been headed south under a bright, noontime sun. The shock of falling nearly caused him to land on top of a girl with pale hair who was sitting with her knees up to her chest next to a boy and a guy who looked a bit older than Basti himself. Just in the nick of time, Basti remembered that he was not completely helpless in the air and gave one pump to his powerful white wings. He pulled up short to land standing just in front of the girl, only to notice that he had managed to stand on her toes. "Augh, sorry! I totally didn't mean to land on you!" In one swift motion, Basti lept off her feet and started apologizing. "In fact, that was what I was trying to avoid, but I somehow managed to misjudge what I was doing, and..." He trailed off. "What am I doing? Where is this place?"

"No, no," Angela said, barely batting an eye despite the fact that her toes were throbbing. "It's quite alright. I'm used to it already." If I ever meet the Grey Bastards or whatever the hell they call themselves, I'm going to kill them, she thought, hoping her face didn't reveal her murderous intent, considering she was still trying to comfort Inutai. Her head was throbbing in time with her toes. Ugh. "We have no clue where we are but that man rolling about on the ground groaning over there is supposed to tell us, I think. I'm Angela by the way. And you are...?"

((At least he doesn't weigh as much as the average 6'4" male xD)) Angela said she was ok. Her face didn't quite match up to that. But she had continued after that, and Basti thought it better just to answer her question. "Oh, right. I'm Sebastian. Basti, if you like." He gave a bow, extending his wings to their full twelve feet and folding them against his back as he returned to an upright position.

He listened to her, trying to stop his tears. He still sniffled here and there, but managed to stop most of it, at least. It took a few moments, but Toshi finally managed to coax Inutai out of his ball. Wiping his eyes, he sniffled slightly. He would've said something, but someone had come falling out of the sky towards them again, which only succeeded in Inutai hiding behind Toshi again. Thankfully the stranger didn't crash into him. Seeing his wings, the boy brightened up slightly. This stranger reminded him a lot of Toshi in his half-form, which was comforting in it's own way. And he seemed to be as polite as him as well, but his personality (so far) was just different. Inutai liked him. Very much so. Even so, he stayed behind Toshi, eying him and Angela from a distance. He was still scared, frightened, and confused. It was evident in the way he was still shaking, but at the least he'd stopped crying. Toshi was thankful for that.
Toshi could hear the shift of the wings of the man beside Angela, and, from the familiar scent, he could tell that he and himself were somewhat similar, if only in their nature. He nearly smiled, but, instead, chose to introduce himself. "I am Toshi, and the boy behind me is Inutai. Please, do not mind him. He is just. . . scared of all these new experiences happening all at once."

Gyp blinked and facepalmed. "Oh great, another one..." He couldn't help peek through his fingers and stare at the man's spread wings, reminded of Ai, again. This journey just seemed to bring up old memories he'd pocketed a long time ago, over and over.

"Hello, Toshi, Inutai." Basti was in the middle of a second bow when he heard a bit of a groan behind him, and an exasperated male voice said "Oh, great, another one..." Flushing briefly, no longer a black and white picture, Basti turned as he folded his wings against his back once more to see a young man with black hair whose hand was still pressed to his forehead. "Another what, exactly?" Basti kept the question light, hoping that the teen meant another addition to this ragtag little group.
((sorry about calling him a teen...Hope that's not too young sweatdrop ))

Cheeva's eyes widened as she watched the half-bird half-man fall outof the sky...onto Angela. A perverse wave of laughter aught her and she cackled, holding her sides. If only he'd landd on that evil, that slimey, that-that...Desoriaveriatus! That thought sobered her up quickly. She watced the tableau, exasperated. A man had just fallen into the middle of the glade and they did nothing. For the love of... Cheeva slipped down the tree, landing heavily - and less than gracefully - at the edgeof the glade. She drew one of her long knives and pinted at both Desoriaveriatus and the new arrival. "I think we require some explanations," her voice was low, yet it thrummed with a threatening air. Cheeva glared at Desoriaveriatus. "Especially how you could survive enough poison to kill a score of men."

Okay, this woman was frightening. All Basti had done was manage to land in the middle of a group of misfits, and now she was pointing a knife at him demanding answers he could never in a million years have dreamed of having. Basti raised both of his hands so she could see them and attempted to appear calm, though the hair and feathers on the back of his neck were prickling. "I swear, I probably know less about this than you. I was on my way home from Guren when I found myself here."
((And isn't a score twenty? As in "Four score and seven years ago"= 87 years?))

Des laughed. "You're mad because you couldn't kill me?" he asked. "Sorry Kitten but I'm afraid there's not a poison a mortal could up with that would affect a Celestial. I didn't do anything special to survive it."
"Just forget it Cheeva," Angela said. "The more you threaten him, the more you'll just encourage his stupidity."
"Urg," said Enrion. He was starting to get repetitive but he still felt bloody awful. Nevertheless, he managed to sit up, swallow down some bile and say, "I think I can provide of those explanations you're looking for. Provided I manage not to puke up my internal organs thanks to that poison--or thanks to the antidote." He glanced around, thinking that if everyone would stop spinning around him, that would be just lovely. He dropped his head to knees and kept talking. "I am called Enrion. And I am a messenger from the Grey Twelve, the Powers that rule this world and many others. They are the ones who brought you here."

Zen cringed at the word "Powers."
It was a flinching cringe, that he tried to hide. He was previously smirking over Chee's attacking, quite fascinated by the whole feud when his expression changed.
He came over, careful not to lean too close to get puke on himself, but bent over to the messenger.
"and why would they do such a thing?" He asked directly, then looked aside sarcastically thinking outloud. "Twelve glowies arrived at the conclusion that'd it'd be a good idea to summon us? Not the brightest bunch I bet."

"The Grey Twelve need you. That's why you're here," Enrion explained, looking at the red head before him. The worlds under their control depend on the Balance between all things--good, evil, order, chaos. There is--a force that has been swallowing the worlds in darkness, overthrowing the balance between good and evil. So many of the higher ups who maintain the side of good, of light, have been destroyed that we no longer have a way to restore the balance.
So each of you was chosen and brought here for that purpose. To help us restore balance to our worlds."
Angela frowned, thinking of the members of the group. And then she started laughing. "Are you sure your Grey Twelve are quite alright in the head?"

"and they thought it was cool to UNbalance our worlds?" Zen nodded to Angela and laughed with her. "I don't think they could've picked anyone better." He said with the upmost sarcasm.
