Kurosakuranbo-chan Divine_Malevolence Kurosakuranbo-chan Divine_Malevolence Kurosakuranbo-chan Another guild of mine has a rant thread and it works wonders. <3 You just have to know what kind of rules you need to set to the thread. For that rant thread, you're only allowed to post a rant, and cannot under any circumstances post anything else in that thread besides a rant. If any user does, they get one warning. Next offense, they were banned. If the user wants advice, they're supposed to put "want advice" at the end and the conversation will take place in PMs. If they don't want advice, they simply put "don't want advice". Anyway, that's what the rules were like for that thread. If we do make one, it'd be wise to do something similar so things don't get out of hand. Have there been any major complaints about it? Nope. We're a pretty tight-knit family over there, though. Everyone knows everyone and we get along great. No one complains about the rant thread at all. In fact, it's really helped. It's 21 pages long and it was made not too long ago. It's a really great way to vent. I've posted in it a couple of times, and the thread has regulars. -nods- A different crowd would probably mean different reactions. I currently think we should at least give it a try. If it works, then happy times ensue. If it doesn't, then lock and recycle it. -nods- I think y'all should give it a try. x3 Ranting is fun when you don't have to worry about people bombarding you "I'm sorry"s and "feel better"s. It's too worrisome like that. Anyways, I suggest that if the person is posting something someone might find offensive, then they should put above the text, in regular font, "This might offend ____." Then put the rest of the rant in white. The idea I do like.

Kurosakuranbo-chan You could always make a sticky to keep links to threads that you want to sticky, but can't. Like this rant thread, or the manga thread, or any other thread you can think of. >.<

xD Wow, this has been overly interesting to read and comment on. A subforum would be overkill, but just having one person bumping it would be kind of annoying to have a 'rant-bump-bump-rant'. Just a waste of space, imo.
I'd be more pressed to sticky it so that we're not interrupting an on-topic based thread.

I'd be more pressed to sticky it so that we're not interrupting an on-topic based thread. D: I have a deep, psychologically based aversion to stickies and subforums. Ask like anyone on here. Half of them probably know. D: -Lays on couch- It all started when Qixter had like 12 stickies in the zOMG forum. . . .

xD xD Well, you can start by telling him that he plays great music, and you can constantly bug him about talking about yourself. That'll get you the attention you need wink
