Kanna had found a way. She created an illusion of herself, that the servants kept following, while the real Kanna changed direction.

Kanna knew that she had lost the vampires, but still took a detour just in case. It was almost dawn when she stopped in front of one of the huge mountains. She closed her eyes trying to remember what her father had said. The forth of the forth mountain in the middle of the middle. Then put your hand on the rock that is green. It didn't make much sense, but she fallowed the instructions nevertheless. She found the correct mountain and climbed up to the middle of the huge mountain, which took another 2 hours. She found a ledge on the mountain and looked around. She spotted a rock that was covered in moss. "The green rock..." She said to herself. Kanna put her hand on the rock and suddenly strange ancient symbols appeared in a circle around a vertical smooth place on the mountain. She knew what the symbols said. Her father had made her study them. "Descendants of the Great Haku, Kiara, and Katsumi, you will soon see the stone that had once caused destruction and blood shed. Be wary, for if you should touch the stone you shall be forever enslaved to it." She read. She put her hand in the circle. and it went through a barrier. She stepped in. There was a long strip of a cave that lead to a huge area where an altar stood. Kanna went up to the altar and saw another circle that had the ancient symbols on it. There were 3 of them, surrounding the altar. The one in front of her read "Haku, To the left, Kiara, then Katsumi. Kanna put her hand on the one that said Katsumi. The cave shook as the altar opened up. A huge red stone appeared, hovering above the altar. Kanna stared at it in awe. Luna was also watching. She was speechless. Kanna took her hand off the circle and the stone disappeared again. Kanna hurried out of the cave. She was still thinking of all that had just happened. Once she stepped out of the cave, the symbols disappeared and it became solid rock, or thats what it seemed like. Kanna could see the sun rising. She was able to be out in the sun, but it weakened her. She descended from the mountain and found a cave at the base.

Kanna had fallen asleep in the cave. Luna woke her.

"Lady Kanna, we must move. I can hear someone coming." She said.

Kanna woke and looked at the sky. The sun was still out. "It has to be Vincent. He is the only vampire I know who is able to run in the sun without being weakend." She said and stood up. She and Luna ran out of the cave into the sunlight. Kanna's skin started to shimmer in the sun, like she had diamonds implanted into her skin. That is rare for a vampire to look like that in the sun. Very rare. Kanna was already starting to feel weakened by the sun, but kept running around the mountain nevertheless. She stayed close enough to protect the stone if he should find it, but far enough away to make him not sispect that this was where the stone was.

Kanna smelled the fresh scent of human blood. That made her sences go wild. She picked up a few chipmunks and other animals as she ran and drank them dry to control her thirst.

Kanna could smell the blood. Her vampire self started to take over. NO! I can't loose control now......blood.......No! Focus! She tried to fight it. She tried to drink animal blood, but her vampire self was fighting back. human blood...... She slowed a little, then stopped and fought to keep control. She usually didn't loose control like this.

Kanna was still fighting her vampire self, when she sensed Vincent getting closer. "NO! i can't stop now." She said and ran as fast as she could round the mountain. Then she got to a clearing. She knew that it would be inevitable. She would have to fight the man who had once been her friend, or at least thats what she thought of him at the time. She got to a clearing and stopped and got ready.

Kanna sensed Vincent leaving. She relaxed. Then her vampire self tried to take over again. The smell of fresh human blood filled the air. This time Kanna couldn't fight it, although she tried. She raced back to where the bodies were and drank.
