Terrie sighed and nodded. They'd just have to find some other way to figure out how to store the- She jumped slightly when Emris clapped his hands, and she brightened happily. "Really? That's great!" She looked back toward Emris' house. The weeds and leaves should last until tomorrow. "Is there anything else we can do while we're here now? Save you some time."

Emris looked around the clearing and slowly shook his head. "I really don't think so....but..." He stopped walking around and looked back at Terrie, should he tell her? Not everything he had planned, but some. "I do need to go to market tomorrow, do you want to come with me? I have some friends to talk to but I'm sure you might want to look around and I'll buy you anything you think you might need...."
"For now though I need to copy those house plans and you could look for the book in the library while I do that and read about mulch." He needed to copy the plans for sure if Ribbon was to work on the house soon. Already he knew that the others he had contacted secretly were gathering materials.

She smiled at the thought of being able to look through all those books in the library. Hopefully the new book would be close at hand, but not too close. "I wouldn't mind tagging along." She wanted to help out any way she could. This was going to be her house after all. But...
Her cheeks turned a slight pink. One more thing Emris would have to teach her. "Ermis? How do you buy things?" Buying ment you give something, you get something. She didn't have much to give except what was in her small bag, and she would feel bad if Emris had to buy everything for her. How much would he have to give?

"Great!" Emris smiled widely and started walking back along the trail before Terrie asked about buying. "Hmm?" The foxtaur turned his gaze back to her and frowned slightly. Of course she wasn't used to this area though..."You buy things either by trading or with the small coins used for currency around here. The more valued being the slightly bigger gold coins with rough edges. "
He smiled softly as he thought about another way to help Terrie out, "If you want you can help gather any peaches that might be left on my trees tonight to sell or trade tomorrow."

Trading and coins. Just as she had figured. She was looking down at her hands when Emris offered the peaches and Terrie brightened. "I can do that. Thanks."
Soon the very peach trees were in their sight and her tail flicked in anticipation. "Will we have to get up early to get to the market?"

"Probably." Replied Emris with a small grin, "I hope that's okay with you. Not too early just a bit before dawn....because we want to get there before it gets to busy being the main market day this month and all." He stretched and fixed the pack that hung over his shoulder so the contents wouldn't spill.
Then he looked back over to Terrie and held out his hand, "I'll go start on copying the house plans now....do you want to search in the library first?"

Terrie shook her head. "I don't mind at all. I'm used to being up with the sun. This morning was actually odd waking up after it had crested."
She looked curiously a moment at the outstretched hand, before reaching out and taking it into her own. "Actually, I think I'll get the peaches while it's still light out. Shorter days, you know. Your house has plenty of light inside for later."

Blinking in surprise as Terrie took his hand, Emris froze. He had been wanting the papers and didn't mean for this. 'Not that I'm complaining...' He thought while finally nodding to Terrie. "Alright, I'll head on then with the house plans....unless you want a helping hand getting those peaches?"

Terrie looked at their joined hands, still wondering what Emris was planning to do with them. "I can get them myself. I just need a basket or bag to put them into."

"Alright...Follow me." Emris gently tugged at Terrie's hand and led them around towards the back. There sitting at the base of one of the peach trees was a nice woven basket that had a white cloth covering it. "You can use this basket and if you need another one there's a couple in the kitchen."
He let go of her hand and placed the basket in her arms. "Now I just need the papers for the plans and I'll get right to work myself."

Terrie clutched the basket with both hands, staring at it suddenly awkward. He'd just wanted to lead her to the trees? What had she been hoping for?
"Oh, papers." She pulled out the blueprints and held them out, one corner of her mouth raised slightly. "Here. I'll come in when I'm done."

"Thanks..." Emris nodded awkwardly before hurrying inside the house. Closing the heavy kitchen door behind him the foxtaur sighed in relief but with some regret. "I just...don't know what to do with myself near her sometimes." He whispered daring to take a peek out of the window to see Terrie once more before he headed to his study to copy these plans.

Terrie stood where Emris had left her for a minute, looked blankly into the basket she held. The only thing inside it were a couple dying leaves and air. 'Just like my head seems to be.' She thought sarcasticly. He had only wanted the papers! Shaking her head, she headed for the peach trees.
After she got that done, she left two full baskets of peaches in the kitchen. Looking proudly at the fruit, excited once more about tomorrow, she turned down the hall and into the library. "Where on earth should I start?" She asked herself, staring at the large shelves.

Emris was nearly finished sketching up the plans when he heard Terrie enter the library. He flicked his wrist dragging the charcoal over to darken a line on the paper before standing. But what was he going to even say or do? The foxtaur truthfully had no idea but still when he heard Terrie talking outloud, Emris leaned in the doorway and smiled faintly. "I usually stack the newer books towards the left and in the top until I figure out where to place them."

Jumping slightly, Terrie hid a blush by scratching at her cheek. "That should help. Thanks." She headed straight for the left hand side and started sifting through the furthest stack. "I, uh, left the peaches in the kitchen. I wasn't sure where to put them."
