Rhea watched Corrah with Aras. He watched the gentle way his father was acting with Kanis and it confused him a bit though. Why would be be so soft with her and not play with him any more?

He knew the male was the alpha and could take any female of the pack. But Rhea knew that he would fight the alpha for one of the three females in thier back. He did not know why but the fur along his back bristled at the thought of anyone try to be so gentle with her.

With these incresily mascline thoughts starting to fill him, Rhea's hand stole around Aras' waist his claws moving softly over the flesh but digging in a bit to the belt along her hips, his index fingers sliding under the belt and fabric just slightly. His body shifted just a bit so that her left shoulder would be against his chest and her hand would rest at the junction of his leg to his hip.

He nods and took a deep breath his body pressing more firmly against Aras'.

Kanis was a bit confused at the smile and the soft words. Why did they start breaking threw the wall she was trying to build around her heart and warming her.

Her cheeks grew hot as his rough hand enclosed her then, the scarred rugged flesh wrapped around her ribs. She tried not to giggle though a smile appeared across her cheeks before she grew self-conscious. She though of how her sister looked and how her own body was built and looking up at the sky instead of her reflection or the scared body took a deep breath her lungs filling and her ribs pressing against Corrah's hands as her chest expanded to take in more air.

"Show off." Ruran muttered under his breath. Kanis just could not stay like the rest of them. Maybe she was not ask easy to deal with as he had first thought. Ruran glared at her. She was no better than Aras..though she at least didn't have a big a mouth!

He took a deep breath as he was asked though.

Aras took a deep breath just as Corrah instructed and was just about to start holding it when she felt Rhea's hand slipping around her waist. She looked at him, startled, her teal eyes wide with surprise. And yet the way he was holding her, with his fingers inside her clothes and her body pressed against his ... she felt warm, safe ... protected ...

She blushed.

"Rhea," she said softly, "we need to listen to Corrah ..."

Any other time, though ...

Corrah held Kanis in the same position, but glared over at Rhea and Aras.

"Rhea," he said softly, his tone stern, "let her go. This is training. Keep your fooling around for later."

Rhea for the first time glared at Corrah, his eyes more beast then ever. His lip lifting into a faint snarl his sharp fangs now starting to full grow in flashed.

The tone of the alpha struck a fight or flight cord within Rhea and he was not going to allow Corrah a chance with his 'chosen' partner. His mind and hormones were clearly growing more rapidly, like a wolf his age would, apart from the muscles he would start hitting his puberty soon enough.

Though he was ready to challenge Corrah for the right to be near his partner, he did not want to risk Aras so his hand slipped from the elf and he still with his eyes wild and his upper lip curled took a step to the side though he was ready to jump back around Aras if Corrah made a move.

At the words from Corrah Kanis' breath left and she could not help but turn this time to look at her sister and the wolf. Rhea had been holding something or someone.

She saw the blush in her sister's cheeks and the closeness of her and the wolf. She lowered her eyes to the water and looked past her reflexion at the scared chest and stomach wondering how Corrah had gotten them before raising her eyes back up at the sky and took another deep breath knowing that was what they were told to do.

Ruran let his breath go and laughed, "I think wolfie needs to be taught a lesson." he looked at Aras and smirked, his sister was a dirty whore just like thier mother. She was no good for anything...always ruining things....women were worthless!

Aras's blush deepened, but her brow furrowed with worry as she watched Rhea. He was acting so hostile to Corrah all of a sudden ... what was going on?

Her expression turned bewildered as she tried to take a deep breath like she knew Corrah wanted, but she kept her worried eyes on Rhea instead of watching her trainer. Rhea was acting very strange all of a sudden ...

Corrah didn't respond to Rhea's open hostility, he simply ignored it and continued on.

"If you would like to try to teach wolfie a lesson," he said blandly to Ruran, "I invite you to try. But I warn you, his instincts are powerful, and he has natural weapons that you do not."

He looked down at Kanis again, then at the other children. "Now, when you take a deep breath, trap some of the air in the base of your throat ... you can continue to breathe through your nose, but as long as you keep that air in your throat, you should be able to remain afloat, even if you have absolutely no swimming skills whatsoever."

Rhea seeing Corrah's lack of interest in perusing the matter, calmed. His lips relaxed and his body loosened though his eyes were still a tad on the wild side still.

He turned to look at Aras smelling despite the water her anxiousness. He smiled softly at her, apart from his non human eyes, he looked as playful as ever.

Though when he tried to breath and float as soon as he stopped moving his paws, and unless his feet were on the ground he would stink.

Ruran flicked his glaring eyes from Corrah to Rhea and back. He could not understand why Corrah would not discipline the wolf but he would always yell at him. This stupid scarred elf was not playing fair!

Ruran listened how to float but he had no desire to do as the elf said. Why should he? He was going to make them all pay for their foolishness. The wolf would suffer and it seemed that if he got rid of the wolf then Aras would suffer. He had yet to figure out what would get to Corrah but he was determined to find out and use it.

Kanis let out her held breath and tied to breath the way Corrah asked. Maybe because she was a girl and she was naturally more buoyant as a female, not nearly as buoyant as her sister, she found floating rather easy. Though as soon as her chest would start to float up and she would rest more on her back she would tense up and loose her floating. She flushed and would go back to relying on Corrah's hands for support.

Aras saw Rhea's smile and though it did help to ease her anxiety, she couldn't quite feel as if things were normal, as they should be. Something had changed now, since they had grown, and she didn't know what it was ... or why it was ...

She tried to do as Corrah instructed, but she found that breathing around air in her throat wasn't as easy as it sounded - not that it sounded easy, really. She tried and tried, but every time she lifted her legs to try to float, she sank ...

Maybe she should have taken more clothes off, she reflected again as she surfaced, coughing, once more. She had no reason to be ashamed of her body, after all, despite her growth ... not that she'd been ashamed before, it was just ... Ruran was always such a tease ...

Corrah nodded at Kanis as she worked at her floating. "Good," he murmured. "When you start to float on your back, don't fight it, keep going. See how long you can float."

And he loosened his hold on her ribs so that she could work more on her own. He looked around to see how the others were doing, and he frowned at Ruran.

"Ruran," he said in a tone that almost sounded bored, "I really don't care if you want to do this or not, but just keep in mind ... you're hurting no one but yourself if you don't participate. Tomorrow we will begin more extensive training. Today you swim. If you don't work at the same pace as your sisters, you will fall behind until nothing I teach you sinks in."

The fool would know nothing, while his sisters trained and toned their bodies and their minds. He wanted to be better than them? He had yet to show it.

Rhea laughed at Aras glad to see he was not the only one who could not float. He smiled and thought a mintue. "Too heavy....Rhea....help like Corrah to Kanis..." he offered. Firgureing it would be easier to learn to float if you had someone to hold you up then slowly release.

Ruran glared harder. Stupid trainer. He would always yell at him but not the wolf or anyone else. He never praised Ruran for any good jobs he did. He could tell Corrah liked the wolf...but getting ride of him would not hurt Corrah that much...he had to find something else...

He rolled his eyes, he was better than his sisters, he had no one to help him like they did. Stupid sisters....stupid Corrah.

Kanis looked down at the water. She could not tell Corrah why she didn't want to float on her back, he would not understand. But she nodded, it should not matter if others laughed or teased her, as long as she could do it it didn't matter how good she was at it.

She shut her eyes and allowed herself to start moving onto her back her body floating atop the water, though parts remained just under the water her face did not sink down. She was glad that the water now around her ears drowned out most of the nose and muffled the rest.

Aras smiled at Rhea warmly, glad of his suggestion, though she knew it would not help him in his training at all.

"Are you sure?" she asked him anxiously. "I mean, aren't you supposed to be learning, too?"

She bit her lip. She did so want to do a good job ... she wanted to make her father proud ... but she was just too heavy.

Maybe if she took off some more of her clothes ... yes, that was what she would do. She reached down under the water and pried her pants from her body, slipping her legs out as well as she could, then held them above the water, squeezed them out, and tossed them towards the shore, where her sandals and belts were waiting for her. Then she turned to Rhea and nodded, moving to stand in front of him.

"Okay," she murmured softly, putting her hands on his shoulders, "I'm ready."

Corrah watched Rhea out of the corner of his eye, more for Aras's sake than for the boy's. After all, Rhea wasn't the one technically in training ... it didn't matter if Rhea didn't want to participate. But it seemed the boy wanted to help Aras ... that just made things convenient.

He turned his attention back to Kanis and nodded. "Good," he said softly, releasing her entirely. He looked over at Ruran. "Do you also need some help?" he asked.

Rhea smiled, "Rhea work on....when Aras....home with her pack..." he said and the looked a bit confused as she started to work out of her pants and tossed them up to the shore. His eyes started to darken just a bit and only for a minute before one hand moved slowly down Aras' back to the small of it, his claws trailing again gently down her flesh and the other hand spread across her shoulders. "Lay back...." he suggested he was ready to hold her up and slowly get her to float.

Kanis nodded losing her floating and ducking under the water but she came back up and tried again.

Ruran fists tensed, "I don't need help....but if you want to show be how I will not stop you." he would never admit to needing help. His pride would not allow it.

Aras blushed softly. Rhea was so sweet to her ...

"Thanks," she murmured, her blush growing hotter as she felt his hand moving so sensitively down her back. His hands felt so wonderful ... even in the water, where things could be so different, he was still so wonderful to her ...

She took a deep breath and lay back slowly, entrusting her safety to Rhea's strong arms. He was bigger than her, taller and stronger, quite possibly even smarter, despite his language barrier, but when she was with him, for some reason that she couldn't quite fathom, she felt bigger. Older. More mature.

Wistful.

Corrah looked sharply down at Kanis as she disappeared under the water, but as she resurfaced he sighed softly with relief. "Keep the air in your throat," he told her gently, "and you can breathe around it ... and you will not sink."

He nudged her towards a more shallow area and headed over towards Ruran, water dripping from his scarred and muscular body as he walked towards the shallower water.

Rhea felt pride filling him as Aras seemed to trust him so much. He beamed brightly his chest puffed up a bit. His hands spread over her flesh as he held her up every now and then letting his hands drop, not far enough to cause worry but just enough to see if Aras could float.

He could not stop his young eyes from looking over her growing body and into her gem like teal eyes. He was starting to finally grasp that there was a difference between males and females and that it was not just in scent.

Kanis kept her eyes shut. She could hear the muffled words of Corrah and she knew not to nod or she would loose her float. But she had to fight not to laugh as Corrah nudged her towards shallow water.

It was a good thing she had her eyes shut or she would have died right there and then seeing the water pouring over the beautiful body of Corrah.

Ruran watched Corrah. He caught a slightly worried moment from him when Kanis dropped and that peeked an interest that the little wrapped elf would half to try and pry deeper into.

Aras could see a strange new look in Rhea's eyes, and she could see that he was very proud to be helping her the way he was ... but she sensed that there was something more in his look, something new, something she had never seen before ... except perhaps in her father's eyes, as he looked at her mother.

She kept working on her floating, and each time Rhea let go of her she sank only a little bit, but her head stayed above the water, like it was supposed to. It was when his hands spread over her back once more that she gasped lightly and her eyes grew slightly wider.

Corrah walked right up to Ruran and got down on his knees in front of him.

"When you take a deep breath," he said, reaching one hand up and touching his fingers lightly against the base of the boy's throat, "hold it here. You can breathe past it ... it's like an air sac of sorts. Try it, and then I'll hold you and you can try floating."

Rhea's eyes met Aras' fully when she gasped again and he looked over her worried now. Had he done wrong again. His ears lowered slightly and he looked up to see what Corrah was doing. He saw Kanis floating.

"Anis is floating..." he said and looked back down at Aras his cheeks darkening a bit. The way she was looking at him was making him feel funny.

Ruran wanted to shout at Corrah not to touch him but he bit his lip and nods taking a deep breath. He should just get this over with.

Aras smiled at Rhea and nodded, releasing the air in her throat. She started to sink again, and she reached instinctively for Rhea's shoulders so that she wouldn't go all the way under, even though she knew he would never drop her.

"That's how we're supposed to be doing it," she said softly, blushing furiously. "Um ... maybe ... you should let me go ..."

Corrah lightly tapped the same spot on Ruran's throat. "I can't feel it," he said softly. "I want to feel this space filling with air. When you have that, you can float - and that is where I want you to be before we go any further with this lesson."

When Aras started to sink Rhea's hand pulled her near naked body to his naked chest. Holding her close. He didn't want her to sink or drown.

at her request to be let down he nodded and quickly set Aras onto her feet again. "Sorry..." he removed his hands from her and nods. He did know if he would be able to float at all but he might as well try.

He took a breath and tried to float only to sink under the water.

Ruran glared, "Well clearly I can't do it..." he sighed and tried to take in air and hold it where Corrah asked but he could just inflate his lung. He was getting too tense to just relax and float.
