Thanatos grinned as the Bakudou hit him and he glowed red, Unable to move. Thanatos looked at Zack then looked upwards as his sword was finishing its swing, heading towards zacks Ribs. The abolishing flames started to fall, back towards Zack. (Basic physics.)

As Zack felt his palm come into contact with Thanatos' stomach he felt a strange sensation. Having felt it before he recognized what was going on, and immediately pulled back and jumped far away. He stood quietly listening to the announcement, and looked over at the still frozen Thanatos as a kidou slammed into the ground. "Looks like we're up for a different kind of fun..." He said calmly smirking as he sheathed his zanpaku-to.

Thanatos stopped glowing and sheathed his sword. Looking into Zack's eyes he grinned. "I was hoping we would get attacked soon"

Zack grinned with Thanatos, and patted his zanpaku-to. "Let's give em hell!" He smiled then looked over at him. "So, you staying here or going to Earth? Personally... I'm staying..." He said looking around at the area with a smile. "With most of the Captains gone I can't just leave... The Sereitei would be way to vulnerable..." He said looking around once more, and then back at Thanatos for an answer, but he was pretty sure he already knew.

"I chose to attack... But being a member of squad 7, has tied my hand. I will be staying back too." Thanatos looked bored. "The reason I wanted to attack is, The attacking team decides how long this war will last... We're just here to clean up any messes." Thanatos looked angry shot a hadou 4 into the sky. "We can't train anymore, seeing as were on call. This sucks."

Zack watched the kidou fly into the sky, and looked back down at Thanatos. "Hey... look at it this way... If the enemy is as smart as I think they are... They should send a decent size attack force here... Which means we're even more important... If they have nothing to come back to then what's the point of the attack force going?" He asked trying to calm him down, and show him the better points of staying back. He knew it was a job just as important as leading the direct assault, but wanted to show Thanatos this as well.

"If it wasn't for people like us, in our current position, The serietei could fall. But that's not the point. If we crush them first, they can't damage us enough." Thanatos watched the kidou fade, into brilliant nothingness. "We may end up like that kidou. A bright light, that fades away. That's why, I want to go out fighting. A true Warrior's death." Thanatos looked back down at Zack. "Let's fight. Not that whole kiddy, no power fight, but a real fight. Technically, even though we stopped our attacking, this is still our training. Meaning we can still train." Thanatos looked at Zack and the words seemed to materialize as they left his mouth... "Obliterate all in your wake, Muramasa!" Thanatos's katana formed into the long, obsidian broadsword, and ignited with fire. Thanatos flipped backwards, landing about 15 feet away from Zack, dust flying off the ground as he did so. "Burn it up!" Thanatos held his left hand out and a fireball appeared. When he shot the fire, it turned into a spike/spear shape and shot towards Zack.

"So, lets say all of us left to hit them fast and hard... but... they decided to send half of their force here... They would decimate are home base without resistance as we fought half of their force... We would assume it was all of them, and be caught off guard by the sudden reinforcements that would return from an effortless mission..." Zack said calmly as they watched the kidou fade away, and looked back at Thanatos.
"Then during the struggle... if we were forced to retreat... where would we go... Our mission may not seem as important, or as exciting... but it may very well be even more important than the strike force that is sent..." He continued as he looked at Thanatos with confidence. "Respect the tasks you are given, and believe in the reason you were given them... Every position is important in it's own way..." Finishing his words he looked over at Thanatos with a smile, and unsheathed his zanpaku-to.
"Sing for me! Tomoshibi Odaku!" Zack yelled sending out a defening sound wave to stop Thanatos, and a sonic boom that sent him flying backwards. "Sorry, but I want to be at my squad while I wait... besides... I have enough wounds to deal with... You should heal up too!" He yelled back disappearing from sight with a fading laugh.

Thanatos sheathed his sword and watched the sky. "I thurst for power." Thanatos laid down and looked at the clouds go by.

Thanatos looked at the new recruit. "Training is halted Yori, theres a war starting today." With that Thanatos stood and walked out.

Yamoto appears in the middle of the training area. "I swear if he doesn't get here soon, I will beat his a** into the ground with more ferocity than I had planned to use." Yamoto sends out a burst of reiatsu to make sure it was flowing right. This move better be impressive.

Thanatos walked in and waved to Yamoto, showing his teeth, and sliding his other hand onto his hilt. "So would you like to go first Teach?" Thanatos slid his zanpakuto out and pointed it at Yamoto, his eyes suddenly becoming fierce.

"Moving first isn't my thing." Yamoto opens up both his hands then closes them again. He slides his left foot back an inch or two widening his stance. Yamoto rotates his neck causing his upper vertabre to crack under the pressure. "Well Thanatos, come on I don't have all day." Yamoto flexes his right index finger indicating it was Thanatos's move.
