He smiled grimly, remembering bitterly when he'd led just such an invasion, years before.. That's just 'cuz they know we're their biggest threat, 'cuz we can kick their a** from here to Esthar. He grinned.. They're allready retreatin'.

Edora smiles, gripping her pistols hard, then letting up, over and over like clenching her fists together.
Aww, that means I missed everything. First I hear about everything that happened to Garden while I was in Esthar, then just as I leave, the Lunar Cry shows up. I get back and everything has gone quiet. I go to the house, and no one is there. She sighs. I'm always one step behind everyone else. Wait.....if you're here, then are the others here too?

He nodded.. Yeah, just about everyone is...Although, whether they're okay or not, I don't know... He frowned a bit.. I was kind of, ah, Out of touch for awhile..

Edora shakes her head, almost smirking at her brother.
I heard a few things in Esthar, like a new general for Galbadia when the Sorceress took that country over.
She looks at him, then back at the fleeing soldiers.
I was gone for a while too. Don't tell me, the others became SeeDs and you didn't before Lunatic Pandora showed up. I saw Pandora comming, there was a lot of chaos, and that's when I made my run for it. I have so many questions for everyone, but I guess that will wait.

((Thought I'd catch Delan up on the events that I've somewhat blacked out on. o__o;; ))
As most battles were, this one was bloody, quick-paced, and all just a blur to the SeeD-in-training. One moment she was hanging on for dear life to Angela, and before she knew it the Guardian Force was flying away, leaving her to fall a not very pleasant way down to the battlefield. She cringed when she was forced to put her weight onto her injured leg, and held her tense fingers around the wound before it subsided. Remembering where she was, Delan unsheathed the knife she had acquired, looking around at something to fend off. Fortunately she had crash-landed in a back alley, and most of the beings around her were already dead.
"Dog Green is open. Code One, extend."
The crackling sound from her communicator made her flinch, and even though it was barely understandable, Delan had a notion that things were hairier than she thought they'd get. Holding the dagger up near her shoulder she snuck down the alley, peeking around the corner to see where what she assumed the main commotion was coming from. Her jaw dropped when she laid her eyes on the titanic thing just a few blocks from her, and her soul shook with anxiety. Just what the hell was that? If it was a GF, it would by far be the largest one she'd ever ********..." she uttered, repositioning the blade in her hand. Once she found the time to get some magic, and definitely if she obtained a Guardian Force, Delan would make sure that she'd be able to handle herself better. right then, though, no spells could be junctioned, for there was no GF in her possession. Going back to thinking about what she was to do now, she was no quicker distracted from the explosion of the building adjacent to hers, and she ducked behind a crate to protect herself from flying debris. When the dust cleared, and she let herself cough out the bad air, she saw how her side was dealing with the monstrous being.
Holy bullets, curative spells... Both were being thrown at the female, and it was only then that Delan wished she had taken up a greater interest in firearms and magic. A line of healing spells attacked the inhuman being, and she backtracked with her eyes to see where they were coming from. They all had been cast by the one man who had made Angela accompany her at the beginning of the fight: Hiro. His mop was bloodied, yet he still fought on, spell after spell. Delan tilted her head, wondering just what kind of military man he exactly was.
Walking around to sit against the other side of the wooden box, the black-haired girl fixed her hair into a ponytail, keeping her eyes moving by surveying the area around her. It looked like most, if not all of the civilians and other fighters had retreated safely, so the big step of this operation seemed to be completed. Defeating the attractive, human-sized thing blowing s**t up all about was probably their new paramount concern, and the adolescent was bummed that she couldn't do much to help them accomplish that much.
"No more Galbadians seem to be around... Why can't they just take their troublesome GF or whatever the hell it is with them if they've retreated?" she asked herself bitterly. Rising up with awareness of her leg, Delan took one last glance at the main target of the battle before hurrying her way towards the docks. Her practical side figured that if the SeeDs down at the train station knew what they were doing, that all the trains would be filled with the noncombatants they were protecting, along with themselves. Regrouping by boat was going to be her best bet, or so she figured.

The kind of man that Hiro is, is actually fairly irrelevant. He'd learned a long time ago, that all you can do with your past is put it behind you and leave it there as an example of what once was. The glasses are gone from his face by now, missing, and there's a thin trail of blood down one side of his face, the blood soaking his hair, some his own, some belonging to the fallen Traitor. Hiro was tired of fighting, but there wasn't much he could do now. The battle had to be finished. There weren't enough healing spells left. He hated to pull out his older sword style, but he didn't have much of a choice.
His blade came upwards, and rested against the palm of his hand, blue eyes closing as he started to focus. It had been a while, and he had to remember how to draw forward that power his teacher had told him he had. For a moment there was a shadow of Angela's wings across his back, before the blade was lowered downwards, falling from his hand to clatter against the cracked pavement, and the soft clap of thunder sounded overhead from the rain that had been hammering at the battlefield earlier.
Didn't it always just seem to rain during the dramatic moments in life? The shadow of wings became more prominent, as the girl was seen behind him, hands lifted up in offering to him, a small white sphere glowing there. He turned, and his hand lay gently against her chest for a moment, before lifting upwards, a sparkle of light visible as he drew the blade out of her body.
The sword itself seemed normal enough, the hilt a gilded golden color, the blade a shimmering silver, average in shape, and design, but it wasn't the blade itself that was the source, that was just the focal point. Hiro turned, as the Guardian Force infront of him collapsed back onto the ground, the place where he'd drawn the sword out of her, gaping. Blood dripped across steel as he turned, and made his way towards the large creature that was Doom.
He was getting tired of fighting, and so was everyone else. This needed a quick end. There couldn't be any more of this now. The hand holding the blade lifted upwards, and the blade itself pointed towards the sky.
"Forgive me...", and his other hand rose before his face, chanting quietly, as the blade of his sword started to glow, the air around him growing brighter as small particles of light started to glimmer along, the light finally starting as a pinprick at the very tip, spreading outwards in all direction. Those who knew of magic, would have some kind of idea of what he was doing, and those who didn't would likely wonder what in the hell it was.
He was probably going to fall flat after this spell, he didn't use his learned magic often, because it was simply more taxing. Alger didn't even know he possessed this, and while he hated to give the enemy an advantage, he figured it was better to give Alger a foot up for the next battle, then to let any more SeeD die during this fight. Sweat started to form along his face, beading and falling over his features as the glow on his blade started to grow brighter and brighter, the chant in some unrecognizable language, fingers tightening along the hilt of the blade as the light finally hit its breaking point.
His arm never waivered, but the shockwave from the explosion of light over his head washed across the battlefield, any undead remaining were burned away to ash by the force of the attack, the light on his blade splintering out into all different directions, beams, dozens of them, piercing through the sky overhead, splitting clouds, and most importantly, stabbing through the body of the massive woman, would you even call that a Guardian Force? infront of him.
He hoped that, along with the mass of spells, holy bullets, and everything else light element being thrown at that undead creature would be enough. The hope that he would wake up and it would be dead comforted him as his blade clattered to the ground, and he followed it just after, unconscious.

The woman simply smiled...gazing down at the mortal whom the Master had said to watch, she watches the body before her fall..then murmers at the assembled throng..her voice carrying yet soft, across the battlefield..her eyes blank, solid white, as her ebon hair flows around her perfectly sculpted form..Doom smiles a bloody smile..
"As good as you all are..You cannot defeat all three..my sisters will avenge my defeat here today..you're all just..humans..just humans..Master...forgive me..it's only my second defeat..in my ten thousand years of immortal life..since that day.."
Her eyes are softer then..a sort of peaceful smile on her face as her head falls forward...then a brilliant light shines out of her as her body cracks apart, and explodes into motes of white and silver light...a stream of aura blasts into the sky...clearing whatever dark magic had been about the area...the curse of Overcast lifted, those who had felt the cold would feel normal now..completely..the undead gone, even the blood cleared..all that's left is the living, and their homes..riddled with bullets and burning from explosions..but damage assessments pending, it could have been a lot worse..but who was that woman..? Thoughts for another day as the clouds slowly reformed above..but this time..all they gave forth was a soft, cooling rain..thunder slowly in the distance. The environment itself felt that battle..and the sky was sending its tears for the dead..
Still, for now..it looks like though at a heavy cost..SeeD had won the day.

Edora watches in silence, looking up as the rain begins and letting it caress her face. She closes her eyes, letting the sound of a storm vibrate in her body. She thinks for a few minutes, about the past year. How she was forced to leave her home and even now is unsure of where that home would be now. She speaks, not really caring if Seifer was still there or not.
Nothing like a good rain to wash a battle scar from the earth. If only life could be so easily healed.

Half in the cover of a building, the Fragger turned his face up toward the skies as they let loose with their gentle rain. He stayed that way, staring up, until his form was liberally doused in water, washing away what little blood had accumulated on his form.
It wasn't until he heard the faint chatter over his radio that he realized he was still technically calling the shots of this operation. Turning, he holstered his Desert Eagles while at the same time reaching up to key his comlink.
All units, mission complete. Retreat back to the mountains before they send reinforcements.
With that done, he followed his own order, dashing through the devastated city and toward the believed safety that could be found in their mountain caverns.

Those were about the best two words in the English language at the moment: mission complete. Laughing out loud despite of her communicator, Delan smiled crookedly, stopping to look over her shoulder. Who cared if she had to walk all the way back through the town and to the mountains? The battle was over; they had won. Putting her good foot ahead of her as she turned to begin her journey back to safety, the black-haired teenager kept her chin up and eyes away from the blood-stained, carcass-covered ground, tugging her hair-tie away from her strands.
She was right... she mentally assured herself. I am going to survive. Not just through this fight, but through this struggle...this war. Swallowing as her smile weakened but stayed firmly on her face, Delan tried to quicken her pace in slight worry of everyone leaving without her, but had spirits risen beyond the heavens because of the turn of events.

Rain had washed away the blood from his stringy blonde hair. In his dreams, he hoped that somewhere she had gotten away safely. With the assistance of a couple of SeeDs, he was being pulled to his feet, and along with others who weren't so fortunate, being moved back towards the mountain range.
They had won the day. For the time being.

Down at the docks, the first of the waiting transport ships drifted away and roared off into the sea, covered by darkness and its lack of running lights.
Over the comlinks, the following message was transmitted to all SeeD forces: "The first transport is away! The first transport is away!"

Edora hears the words on the comlink (I assume that Seifer has one) and smiles again.
Good, we can start going home. She looks at Seifer. Speaking of which, where is home right now?
