L walked out of his office, eyes low and baggy as well as his jeans. ((How could I resist the temptation to not add this joke?)) He saw U, one of his closer friends. It would be interesting to see him again. "Hapkido," he commented. "How interesting," he mused, leaning against one wall to watch the show. "I would, of course, have much pleasure practicing with you, U, after her."

"Sie verbessert (you've improved-german)" he said as he delivered a quick series of mid-high areas. "Vous ne voulez pas garder L attente (can't keep L waiting- french)" he said as he didd this. IT was his usual the multilingual genious simply playing around with who was essentially his little sister.

"Vous avez en eu mieux après votre Français, je voyez (You have gotten better at your French, I see)," L commented in the same language. "Tuttavia, spazzoli il vostro ultimamente in su sul vostro italiano? (However, have your brushed up on your Italian lately?)" he spoke in a rich, Italian accent. It was always good to know your Latin languages as well as the local.

((show offs....>> i'm to young to take languages, only in middle school... crying ))
"thank you" she said in German. ((yeah that's just about what i'm going to do for the other languages, rather then taking 2 hours looking up phrases online...)) She blocked most of the hits, but grabbed his hand at the end and gently jabbed her finger into a presser point on his hand. She let go and took a step back, reading herself for more punches or kicks. "no we can't, you can spar with him instead of me if you want, i don't mind." she said in French.

Thorn and Kairu stepped out of 'their' room in time to hear everyone swapping foreign phrases. Thorn caught a bit of an accent she recognised and cringed.
"Ugh. I'm crap at german." She said quietly while watching the students practise their fighting.
Kairu tapped her sister on the shoulder and said in a proud voice.
"Ich kann Deutsches sehr gut sprechen, danke."
(( xp took me ages to work out that sentence. Don't start german til september!))
Then Thorn made a face like this stare .
Kairu laughed and briefly ducked narrowly avoiding Thorn's black boot as she attempted a flying kick.
Having missed her sister's head, Thorn ended up kicking the wall which dented it slightly.

Ulysses suddenly stopped fighting. "Bored now" he said as he simply turned and walked to his room. When he got there he bagan sorting through papers reviewing cold cases.

Thorn and Kairu stood in the hallway. Thorn had briefly blanked out and her sister was deep in thought.
"That human... he reminds me of someone..."
"Who? U? He is pretty cool... and smart... and maybe a little mysterious-"
Kairu mumbled something under her breath.
"Gelus..."
"Jello? Wow you sound just like L saying that! He's got a big sweet tooth..."
"I said Gelus not jello you baka! I don't eat human food!"
"Who's Gelus?"
Kairu hesitated. She seemed to be acting strange with every mention of this person.
"He's...just a friend..."
"So it's a HE is it?"
"Look I don't wanna talk about it so just....LEAVE ME ALONE!"
kairu turned and ran off into the shadows.
Thorn was shocked. She'd never expected her sister to react with such anger and offense. She wanted to go after her distraught twin... but the shock held her back. So the young girl stood alone and still. Like a living statue in the deadly silence.

U turned and looked behind him. "hmm, something is off today." he thought as he stood up. He walked slowly into the courtyard and stared at the blackened clouds. "I wonder, could kira be exploiting the powers of the shinigami somehow." then U realized what he mumbld and ran to L. "Ryuzaki, I think I know how Kira's been killing!" he managed to say before sliding into a wall.

Thorn jumped at the loud thud of something colliding with something hard. She went to look and saw that U had crashed into the wall. Thorn immediately ran to help him but she was so hyper-nervous that all she did was babble.
"OMIGOSHAREYOUOKAY?!" She blurted as she watched U attempt to get to his feet.
Suddenly their eyes met and she felt her face go red. Seeing his eyes sparkling like that was enough to turn her to jelly.
"Uh...I....um...." Thorn found herself speechless. "That... looked like a nasty fall..."
She could feel her pale face getting hotter and redder. The embarassment of being caught staring into his eyes with a goofy look on her face.

"Uh I... I'M SORRY PLEASE EXCUSE ME!" Thorn yelled as she turned and ran around the corner to find Kairu.

Thorn darted round the hallways looking for her twin. She couldn't seem to find her and was getting worried about her.
Suddenly she stopped. She thought for a moment and realised where she was.
A few more turns, a couple of staircases and Thorn found herself in one of the attics.
Looking around she caught sight of a familiar face.
"There you are Kairu! I thought you'd disappeared again."
"You do realise you're talking to your reflection don't you?" Kairu said from behind her.
Thorn looked closely and saw that she was right. The reflection had white and purple hair instead of blue. Her eyes were red and Thorn could see Kairu standing behind her.
"Why are you up here?"
"I could ask you the same thing."
( omg cliffhanger! lol )
