Tairu was enjoying himself as he watched the clouds pass by over his head. He was quite comfortable laying in the grass behind his family's section of the Main Compound. It was quite peaceful but all of that was interrupted by the sound of his mother calling for him.

"Tairu-kun, Tairu-kun, I need to see your for a minute." his mother said.

Tairu slowly got up from his resting place and then walked inside the house. "I'm here mom, what is that you need?" Tairu asked her.

"Tairu it seems that our neighbors have lost their pet cat, you know little Kimiko, she is just devastated. I know you don't get to relax often any more but if you find their cat I will give you five ryo."

Tairu was slightly disappointed that he wouldn't be able to relax for the rest of the afternoon but he did need some pocket money. "Alright mom I'll do it."

"Their cat is quite old but it was trained to be a shinobi's pet so you should be able to use your Byakugan to find it since it has an increased chakra level from a normal cat. Here take a look at this clipping of fur." Tairu's mom instructed him.

Tairu activated his byakugan using the hand seal sequence that Yokou-sama had taught him. With his byakugan now activated Tairu examined the fur clipping in order to see the chakra signature.

Once he had it he had it Tairu rushed out the door to find the missing cat. He was in such a hurry that he didn't even hear his mom say "good luck Tairu-kun".

Tairu searched around the Main Compound but he couldn't find a hint of the cat's trail. He need to search in an entirely different area so he decided to head over to the market place.

With his breath now returned to him Tairu was ready to begin his search for the missing cat again. Though it was an unlikely place Tairu decided to search inside the dojo first. He slid open the door and quietly entered. The whole room smelled of sweat due to the group training that was currently occurring. Once again the chakra being emitted by the clansmen that were training made it difficult to see clearly. Though it was hard Tairu found his break in the missing cat case. Looking up into the rafter's of the dojo Tairu could see a faint trail of chakra that was left when the cat must have walked across the ceiling. And I thought that regular cats were stealthy. Tairu laughed to himself. Following the trail of chakra prints led Tairu back out side the building and and around to it's back. Tairu noted the direction that the cat was traveling and then walked that way looking for further clues to the cat's whereabouts.

Upon entering the the Main Compound the trail went cold. What a crafty cat! Tairu thought as he looked high and low. He search some nearby bushes, and walked around the exterior of the compound. Nothing, nada, empty, there was absolutely no sign of the cat here. How on Earth did that cat manage to not leave a trace behind when it passed through the Main Compound Tairu thought. He tried to think of possible solutions to his problems but he was also burning through chakra fast and time was of the essence. Wait, maybe it back tracked to the dojo! Tari thought as he headed back to the dojo. It might have been a long shot, but perhaps Tairu had just gone the wrong way in the first place.

Tairu wandered around the Hyuuga Estate until he found himself inside the courtyard. For once Tairu found a place that was mostly empty. The only chakra signatures around were two people sitting and drinking tea at a table. Tairu looked around and immediately caught sight of the cat's chakra signature. There we go! So where are you hiding you stupid cat? Tairu followed the trail with his eyes as it went up a tree and then across a branch that hung over a small inlet of the lake. Darn, I'll go around and pick up the trail again. Tairu had to take the long way around in order to get to the bridge that crossed over the inlet. Once on the other side Tairu had to pick up the cat's trail again.

Tairu looked around for the cat but he could seem to find it any where. "Here kitty kitty, here kitty kitty." Tairu called out as he tried to look for any movement from the cat. Nothing, there could only be three explanations, the cat was not here, the cat was sleeping, or the cat was dead. Tairu really hoped it wasn't the last one because he figured that he wouldn't get the Ryo his mother had promised him if he brought back a dead cat. Where the heck is this cat hiding? Tairu thought angrily as he grew more tired due to the constant loss of chakra used in maintaining his byakugan. This cat was not going to be able to hide for long as Tairu was quite determined to find it.
