Flint leaned his chair back, chewing the last bit of his omelet. "Hey, Lin?" he asked casually, whipping the knife on a napkin. "Do you have any funding for this adventure? Because the needed supplies, weapons, transport, etc, will cost quite a bit, wouldn't it?" he asked, looking at her, then to the door. Perfect A man was sitting there, his back to the door, and the faint outline of a wallet on his left side. "Because if you need any, remember how I said I have quite nimble fingers? Well, it comes from a life of not so legal work" he added in a low voice so only those at his table could hear.

Usrah nodded his head.
"That would be nice. Thank you."
He brought his legs up and sat in midair in a crossed-leg position. He then proceeded to hover through the open window and into the room. He continued to float and remained relatively quiet.

((I thought I had posted, but I just saw today that I didn't. I'm just posting to say that I AM still interested, I've just been busy with schoolwork. And now, I have two questions: (if the first one is answered yes, disregard the second question)
Can mages (Rok's character class) still teleport wherever?
How long in rp days did it take for Lin to make it from Mahn-tor to where you guys are now?))
Rok made his way over several rocks. Sitting down for a moment, he decided to rest.
"Mantie, I can't thank you enough," he said to the sparrow who was preening its feathers while perching on a rock. Mantie simply chirped and contined. Rok stared up at the clouds and wondered where on earth his sketchbook was.

Sorrow regained her composure and walked back over to the others. She couldn’t help but looking at the newcomer Usrah. She slowly walked over to him, her heart beating faster and faster. She fiddled with her hands and then began to nervously speak.
“Your your name is Usrah? My name is Sorrow, well it’s not my real name, but um please feel free to call me that. I um was wondering what brings you here?”
Sorrow was trying not to turn away as she was clearly starting to blush and she didn’t want to seem so shy. She tried to regain her composure again and slowly grabbed her water and started to drink it extremely fast.
Sorrow set the glass down and took a seat. She slowly pulled out her lute and began to play a simple melody which slowly got faster and more beautiful as it went on. She wasn’t really trying to impress him, though she was, but was more playing for the fact that it helped calm her down in times where she could not be calm otherwise.

Lin smiled. "I have plenty of spending money for the journey." She took one of the leather pouches from her belt, and put it on the table. You could hear many coins jingling inside it. She opened it and a few fell out. They were pure gold, she had plenty of it for the whole journey, even with the amount of people going with. She turned her attention to the elder, smiled, and bowed her head politely. "You are welcome Sir Usrah. I have a few more questions I would like to ask." She paused, and took a breath, she needed to be able to ask him to join them on their quest properly without stopping half way for a breath, or two. "First of, are you busy doing anything, or on any specific mission, or journey that you can't leave? If you are not, would you care to join us on our journey to the human capital, in order to get a dangerous quest from the king, and go on it?"
(Sierra_Lily, for your first question: I think it would be better if your character only teleported to places he had already been before. it is more realistic that way. For your second question: I kinda did a little time skip when Lin got to the others, but I would say it may take a couple of days, or even just one depending on how fast you travel. If you want to get there sooner, to meet up with the others, you may go ahead and do so.)

Usrah could sense that Sorrow was acting strange. She seemed nervous, but so were most people when they saw a flying man. He then heard Lin asking questions and decided to address them all.
"I'm here because flying makes me happy. Trust me, when I'm not flying, I can be quite depressing."
He laughed at the next question.
"I haven't been busy for a few decades. That being said, I could go to the human capital with you. However, I need to obtain my necessary equipment. Please excuse me."
With that, he flew out the window and soared through the sky. His home was not far and he arrived in a matter of minutes. He donned his armor, grabbed his sword and shield, and attached the mantle. He flew back to the building where he had met the group, thankful that the window was large enough for him to still fit. He landed upon the floor in their room, covered in wicked black armor. He looked much bigger, the spiked mantle making his shoulders look enormous.
"It may look like much, but it's actually quite unhindering."

Luniya watched Sorrows fidgety movements. Whats bothering her I wonder. It looks like she blushing. She began to stare at Flint, still remaining quiet. The sound of Lin's gold coins falling on the table snapped her out of it.
While Lin was talking to the elder Luniya noticed that her etiquette became extremely proper. It would be nice for the elder Usrah to come along. It was obvious that he is very skilled. He is an elder after all. She looked at him float through the window. It's like he was showing off, but when he landed Luniya saw that he was a handsome man, although not to her taste. Maybe thats why Sorrow seemed more nervous than usual.
Luniya was getting a bit tired of waiting. She had finished eating her food for what seemed like hours ago. She put her elbows on the table, forgetting her manners, and placed her head in her hand. She started to create a circle of water using her fingertips on her right hand. She was becoming bored and was ready to leave. Finally she spoke, "Is everyone ready to leave?"

((Makes sense. One minotaur coming right up. Feel free to make your characters overreact))
Seeing a city in the distance, Rok quickened his pace. It seemed that he had been walking quicker than he had thought. As he loped down a hill and beside some fields, he realized that the humans were staring at him. A few cringed in fear at the sight of him. After glancing at each human, however, Rok set his eyes straight ahead and continued at his quick speed.
As he entered the city, the citizens were shocked at the sight of him. Several moved back. Rok could see why they were afraid; his massive height and bull's head were quite intimidating. But the looks that they gave him were not comforting. He guessed that most of them hadn't seen a minotaur in their lifetimes, and had only heard stories. Perhaps the stories hadn't even circulated here, judging by the fear in their eyes.
"Begone from our city, monster!" he heard a man yell. Rok averted his eyes in shame.
"Peace, friends. I only need to know the answer to my one question, then I will leave your town. Has an elf lady passed through here?" he asked, spreading his arms out to show that he wasn't armed. The same man stepped forward and glared at Rok.
"I don't know who or what you are, but you should leave now before we get violent," he threatened. A woman standing in the crowd spoke up.
"Look at the axe on his back! He could kill us in an instant!"
This evoked a strong reaction from the crowd. Rok closed his eyes then and reached behind him. Grabbing his battleaxe and bringing it back around to the front, the man stepped back in fear. Rok, however, simply placed the axe on the ground in front of him.
"See, I place my axe on the ground before me. I do not mean you any harm," he pleaded. The man hesitated, before turning to the crowd.
"He comes to harm us!" he yelled. Rok sighed, and backed away from his axe. The man stepped forward again and tried to lift it up. Rok growled and started towards the man.
"No one touches my battleaxe," he snarled, driving the man back in terror. The crowd dispersed, freaking out.

"Someone, please help!" her voice carried through the entire inn.

Ashe had been watching Sorrow as she came back to the table. She laid a comforting hand on her shoulder, yet said nothing. She turned her eyes back to the Elder and whistled at the sight of his armor. Just as the Elder touched the floor a new sent came to her and she stiffened. Just at that moment a woman came screaming into the bar. Ashe sprung up and ran to her. "Ma'am, please calm down. What did this creature look like?" The woman, visible shaken, stammered, "Large with a bull's head on his shoulders." "Just as I thought..." She headed back to the table and spoke so that only they could hear her, "Anyone here know a minotaur? One just walked into town and has gotten the people running in fear."

When Usrah was speaking she kinda drifted off into a day dream until Ashe placed her hand on her shoulder. She snapped out of it and turned to see that Usrah was now wearing a strange spiked armor with a sword and shield in tow. She gazed at him placing her hands up to her face and looked away going back to her day dream. Just then she remembered hearing something about ready to leave and before she could say anything her stomach grumbled loudly. She placed her hands down at the table, noticing the rather large bag of money Lin had with her.
“I don’t mean to be rude but do you think I could borrow some of that? I’m kind of hungry and I really haven’t had anything to eat in a few days.”
Sorrow then noticed that her lute was at her side, she had forgotten she was even playing it. Playing the lute was like second nature to her, often times she herself would forget about it. She picked it up again and started to play a song. It was a very folksy song that she enjoyed playing every now and again. She began to sing to it in a soft cheerful voice.
“And I haven't had an honest conversation in weeks and irony rolls off my tongue much more easily and I don't think its mean
it just represents a chilling disconnect from reality.
And nation building nation states are captured in the acetate or filtered through our heads through the flicker of the windows on our street as we're walking home. As we're walking home Is there any place that's sane? Is there any place that makes sense?
And I said, ‘Things are bad,’ didn't I? Didn't I? And we tripped and stumbled for half the walk home.
And I said, ‘Things are bad,’ didn't I? Didn't I? And we tripped and stumbled for half the walk home.”
She finished playing and put the lute on her back. As soon as she finished a young woman ran in and begged for help. Sorrow was a bit confused to the whole situation. She met a few minotaurs in her endless journey and none of them were very cruel or tried to kill people for no reason. She wanted to rush out there and find out what was going on, but she knew she was still weak from the other night. A bit stronger, but she needed some food in her belly before trying to take on something like this.

Liniathe smiled. "It is good to have you join us Sir Usrah." She heard Sorrow asking to use some money, and smiled once more. "Feel free to get what you like Sorrow, this money is for all of us for our journey, and even for now." Lin heard a women shouting about a large creature with a bulls head. She knew straight away who it was, and quickly stood up. "I know a minotaur, I vaguely met him on my way here. Please excuse me for now; I believe it will be me he is looking for." She turned to Luniya. "We shall start leaving after Sorrow has eaten, and I have sorted out this current situation with the minotaur."
She smiled, and quickly left the inn. She ran into the town, and noticed the people were afraid, and looking at the minotaur with anger. They would attack him if they had the chance. She recognized the minotaur as Rok straight away. She quickly pushed through the crowd and ran up to him, before standing in front of him with her arms spread, and a serious expression on her face. "What is wrong with you humans!? If this minotaur says, he means no harm, and then he doesn't intend to attack you. Why is it that you people are afraid of something that is different to you, you treat those that are different to you like enemies, and freaks; and you people wonder why you have so many enemies!"
The people quickly backed off more after seeing Lin, she was different, but they were scared because of the great anger she was showing. She wasn't like them, so they didn't know what she would do to them, being as angry as she was. "You should be happy that those who are different even trade things with you, and take time to visit you or your king. Especially when they are nobles, like myself and this minotaur. Do you even know who he is? He is the minotaur lord of his own city, and I am a noble from the elven house of Windshire. Now be gone with you all, and stop causing trouble for others!" When the people finally scattered, and went back to their daily business, Lin turned around to face Rok. Her face was red from anger, but soon she changed back to normal, and smiled warmly.
"Hello Sir Rok, it is good to see you again. I trust that you decided to come along with me to the human capital. I have a few friends I would like you to meet, you won't have to worry about being around the humans so much for long, myself, and my companions will be leaving shortly. You got here just before we really did leave a good thing too, with how those humans reacted to you. Please follow me to the inn we have been staying at, you can meet the group, and even get food and drink, before we set out. If you would like to restock on your supplies, I wouldn't mind helping you find the right places." She smiled, and then started to lead the way; she stopped, and then waited for Rok to follow.

"Hey, if you're all going to freak out about some tall guy" Flint shouted, getting up slowly and walking out of the bar, a knife still twirling like a dervish through his fingers. "I suggest you don't, there's a 3 foot tall guy right here that at this moment, y'all should be more afraid of"
A man off to the side opened his mouth to speak, but it closed instantly when a flash of silver left Flint's hand, streaking so close to the man's face he might have lost a bit of a side burn. It took Flint just a moment longer to realize the minotaur seemed to be of a high rank, perhaps a noble, or even a king, so he turned to him, and bowed. He then got up and headed back to the inn, passing the same guy he threw the knife at, and while he was still completely stunned, relieved him silently of his wallet, and nobody knew.

Luniya stood up and slowly walked out the inn after Flint. What was all the commotion about. Lin said it was only minatour. Despite their looks they usually had good demeanor. Then Luniya remembered, humans are afraid of what they don't know or understand. "These people run from nothing. Heck they'd run from a plant if it could walk and talk." she said watching as Flint threw a knife at a human. She shook her head.
Suddenly she smiled at Flint while he headed back to the inn. "Say uh, Flint your'e pretty good with your hands there." she joked. Luniya had pretty good guys and she was sly with her hands as well. It's even safe to call her somewhat of a theif but only when necessary. She imagined walking around with him on her shoulder but figured he would think thats belittling so didn't bother to ask. Instead she bent down and gave him a small kiss on the forehead. "I hope Lin returns soon, I am anxious to leave."

Ashe had stayed in the inn while the Lin, Luniya, and Flint left to see about the minotaur. If Lin knows him, he must be a noble. She made a face and slumped in her chair, not caring about the elder next to her. She had tried to leave all the formalities back at home, but is seems that they are following her. She turned her head to the elder and asked, "Forgive my curiosity, but why did you agree to join us when you didn't even ask about the mission itself?"

Flint stood for a moment, slightly surprised. "Well, thanks" he said after a moment, with the slightest hint of a stutter. Just to give himself something to do, he picked up his plate. "I agree" he said to Luniya's second comment, returning his plate to the barkeeper. Then Flint headed upstairs, grabbing his bag and sliding out a small leather pouch, which he filled with the money he took from earlier this morning and just now. He put the other wallets against a metal bowl, taking a piece of flint from his pocket and striking it hard against the side, causing sparks to rain down on the wallets and causing them to catch fire, very slightly. He waited a moment while they caught, burning completely, then he tossed the ashes out his window, where the wind caught them. He took his bag downstairs, sitting down at the same place as before, stretching slightly.
