(( Eh, too bad ))

Tim stood quiet for most of the exchange, nodding and smiling in all the appropriate places. It seemed a little odd that they would see each other here, just after the... well let's call it the Night. But, then again, it was a relatively small town and this was a sort of big event, so maybe not so odd.
"Yeah I suppose we better," he said in reply to Ally's comment, and started toward the entrance.

((So, is now a bad time for my character to jump in?))

((Hey Durb! I didn't know you liked CCS ^.^ and now can be a good time to jump in, just say your character has tickets))
Bree grinned at the two, and followed Tim. She handed the tickets to the appropriate person, and grabbed Tim's hand so they wouldn't get separated. She was good at pushing through crowds, as was her entire family. Except her stepmother, but she didn't count her.
Maybe she'd wait for Ally and Steven... get them good seats. Steven didn't seem to like them much, but Ally was nice. Now the 'RUN AWAY' instinct was calmed, although now she wondered why it was triggered in the first place.
It was probably because it was shaped like a sword. Sword shaped things weren't very good things usually... but it was a pretty sword thing. A pretty, and scary, sword thing... She had to ask Ally if she could borrow it. Maybe she'd be able to figure it out if she looked closer at it.

((Sure, I guess. I'm sure the mod will tell me otherwise.))

Alex walked into the arena, finding a good seat for the show. He knew one of them was nearby, and his staff was hidden with him. "Time to test my worth to the tribe." He said to himself.

((Hello there newcomer! I look forward to RPing together... but just one thing first. What do you mean by 'you know one is nearby'?))

Steven took hold of Ally's hand and led her inside as well. As he moved there was a slight spring in his step, and he was unsure of why that was. He could be excited by the chance to learn a new magic, the fact that he was getting a chance to see the play, or if it was because he was holding Ally's hand. But he quickly dismissed the thought and went back to looking for the seats.
"Oy! There are some good seats!" Steven called to the others while gesturing over to some seats. The seats were in the center column, and about nine rows back from the stage.

Bree quickly changed course, and went over to where Steven had pointed. How to sit? She wondered. Steven and Tim didn't seem to like each other... so she'd sit next to Ally with the boys on the outside. Steven by Ally and Tim by her.
She smiled at the duo, and felt the incredibly overwhelming instinct rush back. Maybe they'd put the boys beside each other... she didn't think she could stand sitting next to that pin for the two plus hours of the show.

((Either Clow Card, cad captor, or Magic Wielder. I'll let the reader decide which one biggrin .))

Alex looked through the crowds, and felt small traces of magical powers. However, he enjoyed the fact that they were hard to find. It was like a pervered game of cat and mouse, where the loser would lose the element of surprise should they cross paths. "Now, where are you?" He asked.

Steven made it to the seats first and stood to the side to let Ally in before him. While standing on the edge of the isle he took the chance to look around the theatre. People were filing in through doors along the wall, and they were dressed either casually or a bit formally. By that time many of the seats had been claimed, so Steven felt fairly lucky to get the seats that they did. He himself felt a little overly clad in his pressed pants, fine white shirt, pressed brown tie, and brown loafer shoes. But there wasn't much he could do about it now.

(( Yo Durban, it's fine if you jump in now. Wish you'd waited a little bit for me to get here and say OK, but the way you're doing it seems to be fine so I'll let it slide ))

Tim was pretty sure she had just grabbed his hand so they could get through the crowd, but even so he felt a little giddy when she did. Her hand was warm and there was... a kind of electricity there. Now that was a little odd. It took him a second but then he realized he was feeling her magic. All at once he could sort of see it on her hand and up her arm, fading as it reached her elbow. It was a flowing yellow mixed in with small flashes of green, and it felt soft but with a jagged undertone.
He stared at it, fascinated, but when they reached their seats and he was bumped by another patron. His contact with her flesh broke and the colors and sensation snapped out of existence.
He replayed the feeling in his mind as he sat down next to Steven, who had let Ally in first. He was about to tell Bree about it, but then a sudden curiosity overwhelmed him.
"Hey Steven," he said while turning in his seat to face him, "Just wanted to say glad to meet you and sorry if I seemed a little standoffish outside." He smiled and held out his hand to shake. It was true what he had said, but mostly he wanted to see if it worked with other people.

Kero could barely moved squashed in the backpack like this. The chocolate made it better, but he would still rather be outside. He wondered when the dumb play was going to start.

(( Btw, that thing that Tim just did is just his way of sensing peoples magic. It's related to the reason he can't swim that he can't sense it with proximity like most magic users. Something of a weakness mostly, but I thought it would make a cool story effect. It doesn't do anything at all to the other person ))

((Sorry sweatdrop ))
Bree opened up her backpack slightly. "Kero, you can come out, but be careful." She whispered into it. She glanced again, wondering if she should ask about the instinct she'd been feeling. The pin seemed sinister to her, sinister and beautiful. She gently pulled him out, and set him on the arm of one of the seats so that he had a decent view of the stage.

Steven turned to Tim, who had taken the seat next to him, and took the other's hand in a firm hand shake. "There is no need to worry about it Tim, I have been a little blunt myself," Steven said in reply, "And, just for the record, I have no problem with either you or Bree. The only one I have a problem with here is that talking bear of yours."
With that being said Steven sat back in his chair again and pulled out a small pocket novel to wait for the show to start.

Ally smiled at Steven and went in first to sit down. She was feeling so excited that she was getting the chance to see this play with Steven, she was also excited that her new friends were also here. With not much to do, she listened to Steven and Tim talk to each other. How nice that they are visiting she thought. But then she saw Steven pull out one of his books and start to read, so she gave him a quick nudge with her arm.
"Steven! That is rude! You should be trying to get to know our new friends more," Ally said in a hushed tone. Sigh, why does Steven enjoy being anti-social all the time she thought.

"Finally," Kero whispered. He nestled up against the back were the two seats met and nibbled on the chocolate, watching for the play to start and idly listening to people's conversations.
He'd seen Les Miserable before, of course. In fact, he'd seen it a couple times. None of them really measured up to the first time. Not just his first time seeing it, the first time anyone had seen it. Yeah, he got around. But it was one of his favorites and certainly didn't mind seeing it again.

---------------------------

Tim barely registered what Steven said once he'd taken his hand. Where Bree's aura was wispy and unfocused, Steven's was rigid and tempered by use. It was the color of blue steel, with white lines that looked like light reflections off of water. Then he let go and the aura vanished. It didn't fade away, but just disappeared like you turned off the light.
Tim quickly smiled up at Steven in case he'd seen something weird, but he was staring intently at the pages of a book, his eyes moving quickly down the page.
So he turned to see Kero sitting on the armrest between him and Bree.
"Hey Kero..."
The little yellow thing turned his head up to him.
"What's it mean when you see--" He stopped as the lights dimmed and a musical score started up. The chatter around him gradually grew quieter as they were plunged into mostly darkness, the only sources of light being the spotlights centered on the stage.
"I'll ask you later," he whispered, then settled down in his seat to enjoy the show.

((Yeah for blue steel!!))

"Ouch! You call me rude when you are the one hitting me even after I bought you a gift," Steven hissed over to Ally, "Besides the show is starting anyway." With that, Steven slid the book back into his pocket and looked forward at the stage as the lights began to dim. He had been wanting to see Les Miserable for a long time now and what a stroke of luck that Ally's parents gave up their two tickets to the younger couple.

Alex laid back in his seat as the show began to start. He heard the musical score in the background, he kept his eyes to the front, actually enjoying the music. Personally, he prefers the music over the actual production of any musical. However, he has yet to actually gain any musical skill. "Now, just stay off-guard, and something is bound to happen" he said to himself.
