I'm currently not in band because I'm not in school, so I'll just answer with what my answers would have been last year, unless I specifically say that I'm talking about this year.
1.I Play the-
Flute, tenor sax, steel drums (plus some other instruments that I don't play for class).
2.It's name is/is going to be-
My tenor is Duke. My flute is in between names and I never owned my own steel drum.
3.What chair?
First tenor and section leader for jazz band, first flute in concert band and wind ensemble, lead pan in steel drums.
4. What classification does your BD rank under?
I don't know. It's really hard to put her in a classification.
5.How many in your section?
Five in jazz band (that's all the saxes, not just tenors!), four in wind ensemble, six in concert band, and three or four in steel drums. (This is all including me.)
6. What brand Instrument?
Yamahas for both my flute and sax.
7. Hardest song ever played?
Flight to Nassau.
8.Middle or high school?
High school.
9. Band geek family?
Not really, but my parents come to stuff, and I'm getting my sister into it. She's in 6th grade this year and plays clarinet.
10.Band love?
Are you asking if I have a band love? Yes, I do. My boyfriend, Taylor. He plays tenor sax and clarinet. He's a junior in high school this year.
11. Inside jokes of band??
We have a million, but the most prevalant one is "How funny was it?" "Sooooo funny!" or variations of the sort ("How stupid was it?" "Sooooo stupid!"). The funniest thing is that everyone who was originally there for that has graduated, but it keeps going because it's just a band thing.
12.If you could, what color would your insrtument be?
It would be awesome to have a purple saxophone or flute. But only if it wasn't, like, tacky bright purple. If it was really dark - like almost black except when the light hit it - then that would be awesome.
13. Are you involved in anything outside of band with your instrument?
Unfortunately, no.
14. Have you put anything on your instrument to define it? (stickers marker [ect.])
No way, I could never mark my instruments. But I have stickers on my cases. Just one or two, though.

The only really noticable one (it's actually not all that big, either, which is suprising) has kind of a funny/embarrassing story behind it. It was our fall concert my first senior year (I had two senior years). I was in four different groups - jazz band, concert band, wind ensemble, and steel drums. All four groups were playing at the concert, so I was running around from group to group the whole concert, which was a pain as our uniform requires black shoes and the only black shoes I had were these big platform shoes. At one point, I had to move from jazz to concert band with my saxophone, and when I got to my concert band seat I realized that I had left my music over with the jazz band. I wanted to go around the back of the setup, but the percussion was in the way, so I had to go back around the front. I didn't think to leave my saxophone at my seat, for some reason. Halfway between the jazz and concert band my ankle twisted because of my impossibly high shoes, and BAM, I was down. I slammed my saxophone into the podium and it made a really loud sound. The whole room went SILENT - and there were a lot of people there. My band director came running and was like, "Are you all right? Is your saxophone all right?" After confirming that both I and my saxophone were indeed okay, she helped me up and I limped over to the jazz band to get my music and then limped back over to the concert band. My knees were bruised for weeks but my saxophone survived with only a small dent. I'm still amazed that I didn't smash my whole bell in, given how hard I felt and how hard my saxophone hit despite my attempt to save it.
16.Do you look good while you play your instrument?
I don't know, I guess I look fine. I haven't really seen any pictures of me playing.
17. Best compliment for your playing?
One time my sophomore year I was absent, and then when I was at musical practice the next day (it was a weekend) running errands for my BD she told me not to be absent any more because she had wanted to work on a song and they hadn't been able to do it because I was absent. Which was a huge deal because we only had 20 people in our band that year and five of them - including me - were flutes.
18. Weirdest instrument you've ever seen?
I'm not sure - they were these big poles that you hit on the ground and they make different sounds or something. I saw them in Hawaii.
19.Tap your foot?
Yep. It's encouraged. Sometimes I forget to do it, though.
20.Least liked section?
I don't really have one. There was a point when I couldn't stand my fellow flutes, but that was a while ago.
21. Lessons?
Nope. I'll be taking them in college, though.

Nah, I love a good band quiz. And I like that it isn't marching band specific, because my band doesn't march.

I love my saxophones. I hated the flutes my junior year but they're not too bad now, especially the wind ensemble flutes.

I'm both. I'm pretty geeky - I'm a video game fanatic, and I watch Star Trek and read fantasy and geeky stuff like that. But I'm also a band geek.

My flute is ten seconds, tops. My saxophone I could probably do in a minute and a half if I was hurrying.

I practice for jazz band, but hardly ever for concert band/wind ensemble. Usually just being in class and going over the songs a million times is enough.

95% of my friends are band friends. Some have graduated or quit band, but they're still band friends regardless.
28.Have you ever got pranked in band?
Yeah. My freshman year these two boys used to steal pieces of my flute, and I would never know who had it. And a couple years back I put my music on my stand and then walked away, and when I came back it was gone. I asked the kid sitting next to me (who was one of the boys who used to steal my flute) if he had seen it, and he told me no with a totally convincing straight face. I thought maybe I just thought I put it on my stand and it was actually still in my backpack, so I ran to the storage room to check. While I was looking for it the guy yelled, "Megan, you dork, it's on your stand!" I ran back to check and sure enough, there it was - and the guy was cracking up, because he had (obviously) taken it off my stand knowing it would confuse me. Jerk.
29. Concert/Marching Band attire?
White button-up dress shirt, black slacks, black socks, black shoes, black bowtie. We don't march but our pep band attire is either our pep band t-shirts or sweatshirts (t-shirts are white with gold writing and sweatshirts are black with gold writing) that say the name of our band on the back and "I'm with the band" on the front, and then just jeans and shoes. Jazz band is black dresses for the girls (we have a specific dress we have to buy) and for the boys it's almost the same as concert band only with a black tux jacket and matching ties that they get through the school.

i have 0 on my flute. about a million on my piano cuz my entire family is made up of klutzy people. 4 on my trumpet because my friend tackled me before our concert and we had a wrestling match. about 20 on my french horn because i bought it second hand~

i usually look very serious. Cuz when you laugh your cheeks tighten and it is very hard to play. Especially for me because my eyes close when i smile. XD

I am a total band geek. My old middle school even noticed how proud we were to be band geeks that they came out with sweaters that said "Band Geek" and stuff. I was pissed cuz i couldn't order one now that i was an alumni.

My primary instrument is French horn, but I've played the trumpet longer than any other instrument. I can also play flute, marimba, and what would be considered auxiliary during marching season.
2.It's name is/is going to be-
Pierre or some other French name.
3.What chair?
3rd chair.
4. What classification does your BD rank under?
Strict, yet easy to get along with.
5.How many in your section?
Three.
6. What brand Instrument?
French horn - Holton
7. Hardest song ever played?
Probably Fantasia in G.
8.Middle or high school?
High school.
9. Band geek family?
My grandma played French horn and my grandpa played Baritone (TC). My mom played flute for a year, if that counts. There's also a lot of trumpet players on my mom's side of the family.
10.Band love?
Gavin. But then he graduated last year.
11. Inside jokes of band??
Well, the recent one was "pulling a Brewer". One of our drum majors had to conduct the class because the other drum major was gone and he kept messing up because he had trouble turning the pages in the score.
12.If you could, what color would your instrument be?
Silver and gold marble.
13. Are you involved in anything outside of band with your instrument?
Brass Ensemble. I've also been involved with Continental League, Jazz Ensemble, and pit orchestra for a choir concert.

Nope.

No idea. The horn's at school, so it's not like I can just get it out right now and count the dents and scratches. It definitely has quite a few minor scratches and dents though.

I seriously doubt it.

I was moved up to Wind Ensemble when I first started playing French horn.

I believe it's called a serpent.

Baritones, I guess. I like how the instrument sounds and I don't really have anything against them, but I can't say that I'm friends with any of them.

Not too much, honestly. French horns tend to be pretty cool people.

A minute maybe. I just have to get my mouthpiece out of my locker, go over to where the French horns are kept, take the horn out of its case, and stick the mouthpiece into the instrument.

I'll admit that I'm too lazy to practice, but I've noticed that I'll alway improve over time when just playing in band. That would be my equivalent of practicing.

I'm typically a loner, but I have quite a few band buddies.

Nope.

A black long-sleeved dress that was made to fit people with big boobs and big butts (Think perfect hourglass shape). Those two areas of me are not proportional to each other, so it's a little too big in the front. We just wear black dress shoes of our choice underneath the dress.

I dont have any stories for that but i do have a few funny ones. One time a bunch of flutes were practicing and this one girl wasnt paying attention. we were going to start playing when the girl noticed it and brung her flute to her mouth really fast. she hit the girl next to her so hard.
also because the flute is really narrow i sometimes get it caught on my finger. people have to pull it off for me.

Yell of COURSE i do, except in morning practices when im sleeping.

Which one? Shall I go through them all?
Sandoval- Rule enforcer, strict, but is funny when teaching classes. Lots of people don't like him, but lots of people do.
Perkins- He's the young guy. Marched corps. He's funny. Everyone likes him. He makes us all feel like we matter. He's INTENSITY MAN!!!
Eaks- The new guy. Nobody really likes him because his criticism tends to gear towards how bad we sound. He's rather negative, but he tries. I see that. I think he's cool. Most others don't.
Garza- He's the drummer guy. He doesn't seem to give a crap about people unless they play drums...But he's cool. He and Perkins are best friends, seemingly. ie: they play football in the band room and try to beat each other at Halo 3. Perkins always loses because he sucks at anything newer than PS1. XD

In marching band- 30, plus some JV members, who are alternates/shadows
In concert band- there are 10 of us. However, there are 10 trumpets in all four of our concert bands.
