Arya landed gracefully next to me. "Her training is complete," she said quietly, "there is nothing more for her to learn." I was taken aback. We had only been there for a few days!
"Well, I dont know what to say other than thank you. You have helped us as nobody could." A hint of a smile pulled at her lips.
"Yes. You are welcome." Nashi's voice reverberated through my conciousness.
Im dreadfully tired. Are we to go home soon? I looked down at her.
Yes, Nashi. We shall go home in a few minutes.
Alright.
Aaliyah landed on Nashi's head. "Hello, little one. I am glad to hear of your accomplishments!" Nashi smiled, and the two of them had a conversation of which I was unable to hear.
When I sensed they were done, I spoke. "Alright, then! We shall return in a few month's time. Nashi needs a while to rest. Thank you again Arya!" Arya nodded her goodbye, and then took off into the forest with elf-like movement. The rest of us took one last glace at the clearing and headed home.

When we finally reached the familiar hill, Nashi lept into the air and did a backflip, all the while spraying poppies as she went. They landed softly on my head.
"Thats a good trick, Nashi," I said as she landed, "but werent you tired?" I eyed her with a skeptical glare.
Thank you. And yes, I am tired, Im just happy to be home.
I sighed. Well get some sleep then. I've got some cleaning to do around the house.
She yawned and smiled. Ok. I love you! This was the first time I had heard her say those words aloud. I wrapped my arms around her neck and whispered into her ear.
"I love you too."
Her smile grew even wider, and she galloped to the barn. I had to say that she was everything I had hoped for and more.

Well, Nashi has been sleeping for a few days now. I got my cleaning done, too. The house looks really great! Maybe i'll have Ceres back over.
Aezura is so happy about Nashis return. She practiaclly tackled her when she entered the barn. Now Nashi knows how it feels... But anyway, I'd better go check on her. I'll be quiet... ninja

Well, I checked on her alright. Shes such a lazy bum. When I told her it was time for lunch she just rolled over so I was facing her back.
Nashi, I said, you have to eat sometime.
But she just replied with a go away.
What am I going to do with her? I guess ill just have to let her rest for a bit longer. But only a bit. I think ill have her get up at least by tomorrow.

crack
A twig broke outside of Nashi's window and she awoke with a start.
Who's there? She asked. A single, menacing reply came.
Come to me...
Nashi stood up, taking several steps backward, and shook her head warily.
No... no... But the voice seemed to call to her, beckon her. She had no choice. Her hooves seemed to move on their own. The voice spoke again.
Yes, yes, my dear. Come... She found herself galloping out of the barn and stopping before the forest. There stood a beautiful black stallion with glowing silver mane and tail, and a moon shaped pendant hanging from his muscular neck. Upon his back were massive, bat like wings. And upon his brow was an equally sized black horn. He was a beautiful sight. In his mouth was another pendant, this time shaped as a star. His mind touched her conciousness like a feather.
There you are, my lovely. I bring a gift. He walked slowly to her and slipped the star pendant around her neck. We shall meet again. Before he could turn, Nashi threw her mind into his.
Who are you? What is this pendant? Why are you here? Her words were harsh and accusing, but his came floating calmly back to her.
I cannot answer every question, my dear, but I can tell you one thing... A wind blew mysteriously through his mane. I am the Moonlight Stallion. At this he turned sharply and galloped into the trees, leaving a trail of glowing light where he had set hoove. Nashi's fear had dissapeared and was replaced with interest. The moonlight stallion... she would keep this her own secret.

This morning Nashi arrived at the door before I could go wake her up. She looked normal, exept for one thing. There was a necklace with a star charm around her neck.
"Whats that?" I asked out loud, abandoning mind communication.
Nothing, she replied curtly. I was skeptical.
"It's something alright. And you know how anything can change you. Now tell me before it does any serious damage."
Her face hardened. I dont have to tell you everything, you know. I'm not your little girl anymore. She turned on a hoove and walked away with her head held high. I shook mine.
"She's right," I said to myself, "I guess i'll just have to let her grow up. She cant be my little foal forever." But inside her words hurt. I really didnt want her to grow up. And she was.

Nashi trotted back into her stall, her face unemotional. She wasnt angry, just a bit upset. I walked in after her.
"Sweetie?" Nashi looked around to gaze at me, her green eyes showing the beauty of the earth. Looking down, I spoke. "Are you ready to be an adult?" From the top of my eye I could see her shocked expression, and her words sounded exited as they piled into my mind.
A mare? Me? Yes! She broke into a smile and came closer, nuzzling me. I cant believe you're offering this!
Laughing, I replied. Yes, well now that you know how to use your wings, and we can talk and all, I just thought it was time for me to bring the idea fourth.
Gazing into her eyes I could see her mind buzzing with exitement. She was trying desperately to keep this emotion unnoticed, but it was plain and obvious. I felt happy to just look at her.
"Let's go see Ceres."
