"I can't be sure the pegasi will stay, but Imoto will," Avi said. Avi turned to her wyvern and whispered into her ear. "Do you see anyone around?" She asked Andra. The wyvern raised her head and peered around. She saw a firelight a short distance away. Andra nudged Avi and motioned towards the light. Avi nodded.
"Andra sees light over there," Avi said, pointing. "Andra will stay here and mark the spot while we can go find help."

[[ Apologies, It's a lot harder to keep track of RP's in a guild, since you can't subscribe. Along with the thought that this had died, I had to be PMed. D: ]]
Achilles took a step back, making sure his spear and shield arms were both lowered as far as they could. He had heard the army he was to report to to assist in the coming winter was somewhere in the valley, and he'd been lucky to find it after searching. It'd be bad if they thought him enemy.
"Achilles, and these are my personal guard. More of my men are on their way, we are scouting along, hunting for food and searching for an army we were sent to link up with," he said to the newfound woman. He wasn't sure what to make of her, since he didn't know name or credentials. Hopefully he would be able to speak to the leader, who she seemed to know, soon enough.

Kali relaxed, but still eyed him with distrust. "sorry about that. but in these times you can never be sure who is who."
She looked at him, and said "anyway, my name is Kali. we're probably the army you were sent to link up with."
She looked at the Myrmidon behind him critically. "i'm guessing you're someone pretty important, if you managed to get your own personal guard, right? I'd show you to Jericho, the acting General of this Regiment, but he hasn't been seen since... when he burnt the corpses of the people who were killed in the attack.."
She shook her head to clear her thoughts- now wasn't the time to be dwelling in the past.
"You should probably set up tents for your men and your self in the camp, there's always plenty of space. The medic tent is easy to find, it's the largest tent, and if yo-"
She was cut off abruptly as Ember, a Phoenix, silently landed on her shoulder.
"what th- Ember? Goddess, you nearly gave me a heart attack!"
She gave Achilles an apologetic smile. "sorry. As i was saying, Jericho would probably be found somewhere around here."
Ember quietly cooed something in Kali's and ear. she nodded, looking towards the ground, then looked at the Myrmidon and his Guard. "if that's all, i should probably be going."

Achilles nodded his head and listened to her, bowing his head for a moment as he heard her speak of burning corpses. Death was something he and his men treated as something that came with war, but he knew others felt differently. Before speaking to her, he quickly turned around and murmured quietly with his captain and his men turned and began to walk back the way they came. They'd be heading back to the rest of the myrmidon to tell them they'd reached their objective.
"Yes, well, a King isn't technically supposed to hunt alone," he said with a returned smile to the woman. He looked around the camp slowly, eying each little thing in it, taking in every detail.
"Do you know anyone who would know where this Jericho would be more exactly?" he asked, hoping to not search for too long. He was growing impatient, now that he was there.

winterdaze ((It would have been nice if the General, Jericho, returned so that I'd have somebody to report back to.)) ((I guess for now we'll just have to make the general an NPC character, since I don't even know if he's comming back. Last I talked to him, he said he was buisy, and didn't have time for the RP. I hate bugging people, even if that was in December...I think. Anyways, if anyone needs to report to the general for any reason, just make it as you would an NPC, and preferably don't use names, so that no one gets confused)) Kenya nodded, and followed her as they searched the camp for anyone who wasn't too buisy. That was harder than she thought it would be. Many people were beginning to eat meals, and some were still tending injuries. Everyone seemed to be doing something or other, and it was just as important as what they were planning on doing. They passed the place Kenya had set up her tent, and she paused. "Just a minute, I'm going to get something. You know, just in case we can't find anyone," she hurried inside her tent, and began sorting through her belongings. Soon she found what she was looking for, two dark magic tomes. She carried them back outside, carefully. The books were heavy, not just because of all their pages, but also because of the power they held when used correctly. It was a weight she had grown accostomed to, and she didn't pay much attention.

Rena and a couple of other soldiers had tread across the snow with great caution. Fortunately, they had not run into any further troubles as they made their way back to the camp. Rena had her arm raised up over her face in order to block any snow, or even simply the cold, from getting into her eyes.
In all their exhaustion, they had reached the edge of the camp but before moving forward, Rena haulted. Naturally, a soldier questioned why she had stopped. So with considerable effort, Rena pointed towards the camp at a few strangers standing there talking to one of the members of their party. They crouched down for a few minutes and examined the situation, but because the group of strangers had left with just one person standing there, everything seemed ok. Mostly because the woman of their camp seemed to be on friendly terms with the man, at least for now. So Rena had one of the two soldiers stay behind in case they'd need to call for help from those they left behind at the mountains. She and the other, in their company, then continued into the camp and began to walk towards the two she watched.

((terribly sorry! school... blech!))
Avi followed Kenya as they searched the camp together. Andra stayed behind with the pegasus. No one was able to spare a moment for the burial and memorial. Avi understood; it wasn't their own mother they would bury. It was hers. The pain she felt now receded into a numbness that allowed her to function.
When Kenya ducked into her own tent and brought out two large books, Avi was curious about her new friend. Avi wasn't an expert in magic, but she could still feel the power of those tomes. "What are those?" She asked.

((happens to everyone, I just got back from being stranded at choir festival))
"Just a pair of tomes on dark magic," Kenya shrugged, "For self defence."
She glanced at the older looking one. It had been her brother's and he had never once used it. And for good reason. It was so powerful, one could loose themself to the spell before they even completed it. She didn't intend to use this one, but didn't like to leave it where someone could take it.
"Should we just go then? Or keep looking?" she asked, glancing around.

-Feeling the wind slowly get cooler and the air thicker. Skywize leaps from teh back of his lizard Quazo. He coughs slightly sliding his hand over his mouth so he isn't heard from a great distance. He places his back up against the large body of the mountain, as he slides down it. He reaches into his side pouch in search for some food.- "GAH!! I'm almost completely out of food Quazo... I hope I can find this army the man told me about at the last town, or they find me. -He sighs slightly, as he pulls off a small piece of the bread slowly placing it on his chapped lips. He opens slightly and pushes it into his mouth.- "I have to eat smaller portions now." -He pulls off his small blank from the back of Quazo, as he lays his head to the side on the rock. He covers his body up and slowly falls to sleep.-

"Oh..." Avi said. Now that she knew what those tomes were, she felt a trickle of fear for this woman. 'She must be a sorceress if she can master dark magics...' She was startled out of her reverie with Kenya's question.
"Umm... I suppose we should just keep looking," Avi answered her.

"Alright," Kenya nodded, and so they continued searching, "Where do you think we should go next. No one around the tents seems to have the time."
She shook her head, and looked down at her cat who was pawing at her leg and meowing, "I here you. Go find some field mice or something to eat. And no stealing food from the soldiers," she waved a finger. Flux seemed to grumble almost, before scampering off in search of his next meal.
