Rez drew his sword imediatly at Scar's suddon outburst "what the?" he asked incredulously at Scar's change in appearance and manner half breed? he thought to himself but then he followed Scar's gaze and saw the boy hiding his face Kaelots clothes. He took a step forward so as to stand between him and Scar "the boy just lost his family to renegades, he will not loose his life as well" he said readying his sword just incase.

Ryoga turned when he heard Scar and walked over to the boy and picked him up. "Leave him alone, Scar, or I will kill you myself." HE said as he walked over to the Hummer and placed the boy in the passenger side seat and smiled down at him. "Don't worry he won't hurt you as long as I am here." He said.

Kaelot noted the boy being carried into the hummer. sjhe stepped around the man, and looked him straight in the eyes, her gold ones almost infinitely cold. "do you have any problems with half-breeds?" she asked, her voice cold. "because i'm one, and proud of it. im fed up with you self-righteous bigoted pure-breeds! that boy there is just a little kid! he saw his parents killed, and nearly got killed himself, for the goddess's sake!" she was extremely angry with him, and the very air around her seemed to crackle. she had her sword loose in its sheath. her fingers itching to draw it.

Ryoga shook his head as the memory of his mother's dead body flooded back into his head and then again after he saw his father in the coffin after being killed by Renegades. Once he snapped out of it he placed his hand on the boy's head. "I know what it feels like to lose your parents, it is the worst pain in the world, but it will go away after awhile." He said as he walked over to Kaelot. "It is okay he is safe and I will adopt him, if I must. So you have no need to worry, he will be safe as long as I am there to protect him."

Rez watched as Ryoga took the boy to safety but still keept his sword trained on Scar, he looked at Kaelot when she spoke amased at the anger in her tone that would be why she has wings like that he thought but then turned back to scar "just because you helped fight the renegades does not mean I will not draw your blood, back down scar I will not see anybody hurt because of blood" he spat the last part out like it was a disease infuriated that this outburst was because of something as low leveled as a debate about blood.

Aqua turned her back to scar, looking at ryoga. "i can believe that he'd be safe. i know what its like to lose one parent. my mum used to visit me when i was little, i lived with my dad, but one day she just stopped turning up. haven't seen her in years." she sighed.

Rez looked at the others while keeping a trained eye on scar i wish i had happy memories of my family he thought to himself before turning to Ryoga "Ryoga did you find everything you came here for?" he asked

Ryoga looked at Kaelot. "I know what it is like to lose two parents, a step parent, and now everyone who I considered as family." His depression grew with every moment and then he remembered the boy. "There is one problem with taking care of the boy." He said as he looked at the ground. "I will need to find someone to help me take care of him." He looked at Rez. "Yeah but the radio is busted." He looked back to Kaelot.

The boy shifted in his seat in the jeep, leaning out of the window to watch everyone, showing worry at being left alone again. He heard the word 'adopt' mentioned, and he shivered slightly, a sharp jolt running up his spine and causing his fur to stand on end slightly, so he sat back down, hugging his thin legs up to his chest. His ears pressed back against his head, his slitted, cat-like eyes narrowing. Someone like that, even thinking that they deserved to be parents. Evil bastards... It worked perfectly though with his plan... get these people to trust him, and it would be a simple matter to take them out. The malicious expression left his face before he looked out again, replaced by curiousity and anxiousness again as he waited.

Ami couldn't believe Ryogo was really going to just up and adopt this random boy. Idiot, he has no idea what he's getting himself into. He thought disdainfully. He moved between Kaelot and Ryoga to where he could bring himself face to face with the boy.
"Tell me kid, where do you stand in all of this?" Ami asked, locking his poison green eyes with the child's own cat like ones. "They've already planned out half your life and you haven't said one word. Hell, we don't even know your name." He said, and took another drag off of the cigarette. His eyes never left the boys face.
What is it about this kid... Ami couldn't quite put his finger on it, but there was definetly something strange about the boy. It felt a little too paranoid to be suspicious of an orphan, but the kid's reactions didn't feel right. Ami had guarded countless children over the years, and this one was something else entirely.
Old. Ami realized. He feels old. Wouldn't be suprised if the kid was really fifteen. Sixteen even.

Ryoga stepped in between Ami and the boy. "Get out of his face, Ami." Ryoga ordered. "The only reason I'm even considering it is so that he won't have to grow up in an orphanage. My father adopted me and I am glad he had instead of letting me live all those years in there." He was deeply angered by his reaction to something that wasn't even his business. "And I was only going to do it if he was okay with it."

The boy blinked, his expression confused and innocent. He contemplated for a moment, making it seem like he was nervous, considering this guy. He didn't seem like much of a threat...saying his real name probably wouldn't be too much of a risk. "M-my name's Jyel..." He stammered, his voice wavering. "And I dun got any part in this, I already told mister what happened." His eyes teared up slightly, to seem as if he was having trouble remembering something painful. "Wh-why? Who're you?"

"give the kid some air Ami, he just went through alot we can talk to him properly about all this tomorrow when he's rested and calmed down, lets just see if Ryoga can get that radio working then we will head back and find a place for Ryoga and Jyel to stay" Rez said giving up on watching Scar and sheathing his sword before walking over to the others properly.

Ami didn't move. He casually dropped the cigarette and ground it out with the heel of his shoe, making a show of taking his time. Finally he glaned back up at Ryoga, a humorless sort of grin on his face as his eyes looked on coldly.
"No skin off my back." He said to the vampire, but he was looking at Jyden as he did so.

Scar just hissed at everyone then mumbled something about simpithisers. he quickly pulled something out of his cloak and tossed it at the ground.. there was a silent thud and the object hit the floor then it started to hiss quickly dispelling smoke everywhere. after the smoke died down Scar was gone with a mark on the floor of a fang with a drip on the end of it. (if you do not know Va-sher foke lore you will not know the mark Pm me if you do know)
