Isilya smiled from ear to ear when he patted her on the head. It was just as she remembered from her younger days. And when he mentioned her volume she pursed her lips shut as if she had just bitten to a very sour lemon. "There, is that better?" She asked, squeaking like a tiny mouse running away from the cooks butcher knife.
She straightened her face, but continued to speak in a softer voice. "He did allow me more freedom, but only because I had to convince him too, he is soooo over protective sometimes." She crossed her arms and took a seat next to Arkins long fury leg. She wrapped her arms around it and began to poke at his toes with her slender fingers.
"But then again, after taking up the apprenticeship, I never got to goo anywhere or doo anything." She exaggerated the double o sound after each of the words. In a way she was much like a child, because her childhood had been lost in her training.
"I hope we can kill them all, I do so miss seeing you fight, how brave and cunning you have become over the years in my absence, I am sure you could best any of their warriors." She looked over at Val and gave a sneer. " bet if you wanted to you could rip his head right off his shoulders. What a jerk." She kissed the back of Arkin's knee and snuggled him closely. "What took you so long to get here? I was lonely." She pouted, but did not release him.

Ryn was riding on Cale's back, still grinning and following Lain, when he heard a shrill shout in the distance. His eyes went wide, and he pulled Cale up short saying, in a carrying whisper,"Everyone stop!"
Glancing around furtively, he hopped down off of Cale, and said,"Wait here Cale. I'll be right back.."
The horse grunted, as Ryn slowly walked into the bushes. As soon as he was out of view of the others, he used the ancient art of shadow stepping to get closer to the noise quickly and silently.
Glancing out from the edge of the forest, completely hidden in the brush, he spotted the Saxon forces, and their encampment. "Oh..... This ain't good...", He thought, before glancing around for the guards, and spotting none right where he was, moving slowly back towards the others.

Akrin smiled and nodded. "He is our ally, to talk about combat against him is not proper. I hope I can find the enemy a proper fight...but.." He then bent down to whisper in her ear. "I am not th best fighter, I have been wounded before. Its my race and training that make me able to survive..."
He stood there and sniffed the wind. Then he looked down to the youth enchantress. "Let us hope you too can find a proper enemy amongst those who we combat."
He then got back up straight and stretched. "Your father has the proper rights to be protective of you, you are the future. You, a magical user, are worth three of myself at the least. With your training, you need to be protected somewhat..."

"He is our ally but he is a cruel man. he ignores me to the fullest like I don't exist." She hid her shame by burying her face once again. She closed her eyes softly, and took in everything her dear friend had to say. "Arkin, you are as human as I am, but you look like you can kick some royal a**, I'm stuck looking like this and no one takes me....."
She silenced herself then, springing up from around Arkins legs as quickly as a jungle cat would scale the mountains. She looked toward the south, someone had been there, an aura trail lingered where he had been just moments before.
"An Aura, Arkin, just there." She pointed her nimble fingers toward the brush while her eyes glazed over and became an opaque shade of light blue. "I see, red, yellow and...." She seemed to be in deep concentration, and then her supple lips parted and the word white tumbled from her lips. "It's them, or at least one of them lets go."
She took Arkins hand in hers as her tiny feet gripped the earth with their bareness. She had no time to put on foot coverings, time was of the essence. "We have to stop him Arkin." She spoke with such determination, that for a moment she heard her father speak. Her eyes transformed back to normal as she ran ran, but still following the trail of the aura that had been left.

Not knowing the ways of magic, Akrin was taken by surprise. He followed her, taking out his ax, but leaving his shield there so she may lead him. This was a rare moment when Akrin was not the tracker or hunter, but the follower to the hunt. This made him feel weak, but he knew that he would be able to find and defeat whomever is there. His usual footsteps became that of a hunter, as quiet as a deer, but still, any man who saw Akrin would not expect him to even be that quiet...

Ryn ran through the bush, shadow stepping from place to place at random times, so as to make his trail harder to follow. He could hear them, despite the fact that he knew those following him were trying to be quiet, and catch him by surprise.
Suddenly he leapt straight up, grabbing a tree branch and swinging onto it. Glancing around carefully, he pulled a small knife from a pocket, and a vial of liquid. Trailing the liquid across the knife, he grinned. With another glance around he hid the vial, and holding the small poisoned throwing knife in his left hand, waited for his prey.

Isilya trailed the aura with her line of vision. It seemed as though it trailed into the trees, but it was so spread about it was hard to lock on to the intruder. She pointed her hands to the place where the aura was the strongest, and instantly a black light trailed from her hands to the spot where she was aiming. It was a binding spell, hopefully it would at least graze him, or at most, keep him immobile.
The aura trail faded as quickly as it was hit. That was not where the intruder had been, but she wouldn't give up souly on one failed attemp.

Ryn cursed under his breath as the spell flicked by his left arm, the blast of black light nearly causing him to fall.
"Dang magic users....", He said under his breath, shadow stepping to another tree, now directly above his attacker. He grinned lightly, before throwing the poisoned blade directly down at the girls shoulder.

Isilya cried out and grabbed her shoulder, breaking off to the right of where the cursed dagger had hit her. Of course she did not know she was poisoned, nor what kind of poison it was, all she knew was that it stung as it connected with her flesh after tearing through her garment.
She raised her hand, and this time, the trees began to sway. Roots cracked and hissed, and leaves showered dwon upon her and her ally as they fell from the trees which housed them.
((You didn't misunderstand, I had just realized there was no way for a magic user to miss, now there is. heart
And since we can't roll more than 1 dice per turn, I'm thinking people hvae the option of blocking or attacking, if they choose to attack, obviously they have sustained the full amount of the damage. Sound good? ))

I modded the rules back to normal (but keep the stats you have now.)
I had forgot about the perfect six no damage rule for the blocking dice. stare
I feel dumb, meow.

Ryn felt the trees shaking as the girl used her magic to try and knock him loose. He growled deep in his throat, before shadow stepping again, now twenty feet from her left side.
He turned, drawing another dagger, even though he knew that within seconds the first daggers poison should have her paralyzed, and threw it at her, full force.

What the hell is going on! She screamed in her mind. This guy was toying with her and it frustrated her to no end. Magic and horrible emotions did not go hand in hand,and she was not thinking with her head.
She heard the whistle of a second dagger coming at her, and on instinct she raised her hands in front of her, trying to keep it from hitting any of her vital organs, she had gotten lucky that last time, no time for second mistakes.
((Holy crap I rolled a 6 rofl ))

Ryn was not impressed. His second knife had missed, but he was not going to lose to some little girl of a sorceress. Slowly he drew out his spiked ball, which was on the rope so that he could get it back immediately.
Whirling it above his head, he grinned, and threw it at the girl, ready to pull it back immediately if it missed, or hit.
