Ahren fingered the orb in her pocket. She eyed the dead snake with a look of distaste as Varnis and Lexenos approached the pharmacy. Half her mind was on them, the other half on the mages walking away. Shrugging, Ahren stood next to the pharmacy door. "So, why are you dragging around a dead snake?" she asked them, eyebows raised. Her staff hung by her side, held firmly in one hand.

"The pharmicist wanted one in exchange for a potion that Luxran needs for his sister," Lexenos said, a disgruntled look still on his face.

"Yea, we needed it for Luxran's sister." He said as he gave the pharmacist the dead snake.
"Thank you for the help, it will help me with my snake bite antidotes." She said as she took then snake, and gave the group Deremy, and Antidotes (3). She then smiled, turned around, and started to take the snakes venom out form the snake, and started to work on the antidotes.

Varnis walked back to the group, and gave the Deremy to Luxran. "Well, I guess that was a success." He said as he put the antidotes into his hidden pocket, that anyone could access if they needed too.

The king had looke dup at his guards, then looked back out side. "Bandits..." Is all he could say before he passed out. The fighters quickly picked him up, and ran him to the healers.
"What happened to him?" One of the healers asked.
"He was attacked by bandits." They guards had said as they looked around worriedly.
"Bandits!?! But there all dead!"
"No, there not dead, they almost killed the king. He went to the Cave" Putting an emphasis on the cave.
"Damn." The healers looked worried. "We should heal him soon before he dies." They started to hela the king to keep him alive.
"All right, we should do around and tell people to avoid the cave now." At that the fighters walked out from the throne room to tell people to avoid the cave.

Ahren nodded, her brows wrinkled in thought. "Admirable, but why are you helping him? Are you companions? It is his sister, after all. It seems as though it wouldn't affect you." Her lips had thinned; the fingers tightened around the staff.

Aaron bowed very low, and looked back up, beaming. "How wonderful! Another mage to assist me on my Quest! I thank you very much!" Indeed, he looked like he was going to pass out from all the excitment as he kissed Artica's hand once more.

Varnis looked over at Ahren. "Yes, but he came and asked us for assistance." Pausing for a monent. "I can not tell someone who asks me for assistance no. It would be rude to do so." He said while waiting for a response.

Ahren frowned slightly, the creases in her forehead deepening. "Perhaps it would be impolite, but it is not wise to lend a hand to every man in need. Is it not dangerous, to extend yourself and risk your safety for another?" She shrugged, relaxing her grip on her staff. "Do not mistake my meaning; I do not mean to critique you. I simply have a different perspective."

"Yes, it is dangerous, but with out danger, how could you become stronger, and braver?" He stepped back a little shifting his weight. "He had also decided to come along with us, and help us fight." He said with a sure voice, that no one could mistake for a lie.

Ahren's thin lips turned upward, though her eyes remained steady. "That is a poor excuse. There is danger everywhere, you need not risk your neck for another to find it. I do not seek a challenge, lest I be granted more than I can handle. I wait for them to find me, and I grow thus. And why help another who could turn apon you?" Idly, her fingers traced the grain of her oak staff. "It is easy enough. You reach out to help them and, after you fell their foe, they take it all and leave you with nothing. She shrugged again. "I may be suspicious, but there are only two states of being: cautious and dead. I take what comes my way and I do not challenge fate by seeking to mend the world."
Her icy exterior cracked somewhat as she exhaled. "If you pardon my questions, where is it you are going and what is it you seek to fight?"

Looking a little shocked as she said the poor excuse part. "I can see that you do not come to easily trust people. I can see why you would not trust some one so easily, but when some one needs help, I can not just sit by, and watch. As for my studies prevent me from doing so." He said as he stood there, looking around a little bit.
"To answer you're other question. There is nothing for me to fight here, unless I need to. I have only come to help people with their problems, and help heal them."

((sorry that i've been gone.)) Luxran took the Deremy potion. "Thank you." He said as he turned around. "I will be back. I need to repay you for your kindness." Before Varnis could respond, Luxran was out of sight. He ran all the way to his house. He took out his key and unlocked the door. He pushed the door open and it fell of the hinges. Luxran ran into the house and saw sword marks all over. He slowly though the house seeing more and more marks. He got into on room and saw very little blood. Bandits ransacked his house and kidnapped Yuki(his sister). Luxran fell to his knees. "No." He yelled loud enough that Varnis and the others could hear. "No." He said slightly more quiet. He looked on the bed in front of him, there was a note. The note read: Come into the cave and bring the item. I think you know what we're talking about. Bring the item to us and you will get your sister back. sincerely, the Bandits There was an item in Luxran's house that was special. The item was called the Gem of Souls. It was supposed to hold all the spirits and powers of the ancestors that past away before him. The item could be sold for untold riches or used destroy the planet. Luxran Walked deeper into the house and broke in a wall. The wall was guarding a secret staircase leading to the item. He walked down the staircase and deactivated the traps. he walked into a large sanctuary and in the center was a pedistal. he pounded the ground in front of the pedistal and a small gem floated down from the ceiling. He wanted to get his sister back but didn't want to risk losing the family heirloom.
