Yeah, I like it too.
I also fancy the YT-2000.

The YT-2k is a nice ship. The Limited Edition craft of the YT Line. I'm partial to the Barloz and YT-1300 myself, but I'm just a classics sort of guy.

The YT-1300 is nice, but I can't see myself flying it. The cockpit placement would cripple me. Especially when I need to make some maneuvers through asteroid fields, or something.

Oh yes the beauty of Corellian ships. Don't like a feature, we got a modification kit for you!

Yes. In Saga Edition they even make a stat for CEC made ships that accounts for this ease of modification. Every ship has a certain number of Emplacement points where systems can be installed easily. Normal Ships have 1 EP. Thats enough space to mount something like a Proton Torpedo launcher, a Medium Blaster Cannon, or a Jamming Suite without having to make room in your ship for the addition. Corellian Engineering Corporation ships have 5 emplacement points unless stated otherwise. YT Series Freighters have 10.

I've actually made a YT into something like that: a dedicated multi crew heavy assault bomber. it was during my old D6 days. But one has to remember that all those weapons are pretty expensive and take time to install. Plus you'll have to be explaining to legit authorities why you have ten Torp ports on your freighter.

Cale Darksun You could always centermount it. That's essentially a YT-1930, isn't it? Plus, that would probably cost more than it's worth.

No. A YT-1930 looks uglier and has more cargo room.

Blasphemy. Those big a** cargo modules shoot out the sides of the main saucer like giant goiters.

Not my style. I'm a tramp freighter captain. I need speed. Not Guns.

You could also mod them into extra engines or generators...
