New to the swamp, she wandered to, and fro. Seeing many racing Kimeti, dancing Acha - which she gazed on with envy. Totoma are meant to be brave, to be hearty. Not to dance! Females all the more so, to be fierce and harsh as the cold icy wind.
One afternoon as the sun started to fall, she heard squealing, playful laughter as a trio of Acha foals ran by. They appeared to be playing some made up game where the rules changed on whim, impossible to follow. Settling down to rest, in moments she heard terrified screams ring in the air. Charging towards the recently cheerful children, she saw a scaled beast rise from the waters - a mouth full of sharp teeth, and a predatory gleam in its eyes.
"Children, run this way! I shall protect you!" She lowered her horns, pawing the ground, prepared to charge. "This shall be my finale, my dance - to the death!" And she charged full out towards the snapping beast.
