Arralan pressed himself against a wall, breathing heavily. He'd just lifted quite a bit of gold from an unsuspecting woman's purse, but a rather large man had spotted him; the following chase had led him into the slums, where he had hoped to lose the brawler. He'd ducked into a nearby alleyway, where he found himself now.
"You there! Stop, thief!" The burly man exclaimed, barreling down the skinny stone alley. Arralan cursed silently under his breath, turning and sprinting once more. He'd never known anyone so large to be able to move so fast. It didn't help that this was the fifth chase just like this today, and he'd already been in three fights. He was reaching his limits, which wasn't something he often said.
He ran down the street, bursting into a crowd and throwing several people from his way as he went. "Move! Get out of the way!" He shouted, tripping on one of the pedestrian's feet and stumbling. He managed to keep on his feet, until he reached about a yard away where he managed to run head-first into a giggling girl discussing something with another laughing girl, saying something about paying attention. He laid on the ground looking up at the sky, blinking slowly as he groaned. "Ow."
As he tried to get up, the large man was upon him and lifting him into the air by his collar. "I've got ya now!" He shouted, shaking him around like a ragdoll.
Arralan considered his options. He could easily overpower the man with magic, blast him into a nearby wall perhaps? But that would attract quite a lot of attention, and someone might want to play hero. He couldn't exactly afford much more trouble today. He probably wouldn't win a fight with the man; first off, he was tired. This man was gargantuan, at least twice his size. On a better day, it might have been possible... But now, it was a fool's errand to even consider. Which left him with one option. A devious option, incredibly ironic as well.
"Help! He's gonna kill me! Someone!" Arralan shouted, struggling pathetically against the man's grasp. "Somebody, please! Stop him!"
((In case it wasn't clear enough, Arralan just ran into Ayumi. Before being picked up, of course.))

Ayumi looked at the new stranger. "Hm?" Then she noticed the big guy lifting him. "LET HIM DOWN!" She yelled then gulped realizing how big the man is. "Please?" (( already saw >w< ))

Korosu looked where Ayumi was looking. "Ayumi calm down. We're already in a situation, we don't need to be concerned in another." She sighed. Korosu knew that wouldn't change her friend's mind, but it was true. "We'll help him if you wish." Korosu groaned. "I'm ready when you are." [[ Saw it as well. owo ]]

Ayumi looked at Korosu. "...I'm sorry but this is what i need to do...What i feel to do." She sighed then nodded. "We could help right now. Just...Don't hurt yourself." She smiled. and ran to the man. "Hey mister. Could you let him down? Please?" She smiled friendly.

"I won't." She muttered and followed Ayumi. She stayed silent and kept her guard up if the man would try to attack Ayumi. Korosu clenched her scythe tightly in her hand. 'I hope you know what you're doing Ayumi.' She thought as she focused on the situation and any moments made.

Arralan glanced around, mentally frowning when he realized the only two people who were even considering coming to his aid were the two chatting girls he'd just run into. He made a mental note; the citizens of the slum were not the most considerate bunch. He was more or less on his own.
The large man seemed startled by the girl's immediate ferocity, immediately dropping Arralan roughly to the ground. Determined to play it off to the last, he did a very good job of collapsing into a pathetic pile. Shaking himself off as he stood, Arralan bowed in thanks to the girl. The large man stood, stammering at the two as the girl suggested more politely that he leave. "Bu- he-..." Groaning, the man put a hand to his forehead. Pointing a hammer-sized finger into Arralan's chest, the man growled. "This isn't over, you. I'll remember your face, and if I ever see you again..." He cracked his knuckles, the consequences of their future meeting implied with each pop.
Arralan gave a smirk and waved a bit as the man turned and walked off in a huff. He immediately looked towards the two ladies. He knelt towards the one who'd yelled off the man, taking her hand in his and kissing the back of her hand quickly. "You have my thanks, m'lady," he said, standing back on his feet and nodding to the other girl. She hadn't helped directly, but had appeared willing to join the fight. Whether or not this was for his own benifit or simply because the other girl was willing didn't matter to him. He smiled, and gave a slight bow to her as well. "As do you. You may call me Arralan, as that is my name. If there's anything I can do to repay the favor..."

Ayumi looked at the man leaving. "...That was...easy?" She said surprised. "I-I thought he will want to f-fight or something like that...Awws. And i was ready." She pouted. "I wanted to fight." She sighed. "Oh well, maybe next time." She smiled. Then she looked at Arralan kissing her hand and bowing. "No no. You don't need to bow." She smiled. "It wasn't a big deal anyways." She smiled. "Arralan you say?" She bowed aswell. "My name is Ayumi." She stood up. "Nice to meet you Arralan." She hold her hand for a handshake smiling.

"Same here." She muttered. Korosu lessened her grip on her scythe. 'Glad to see no one got hurt.' Korosu sighed. "Well we seem to be on a role for running into people today Ayumi. You'll get to fight somepoint." She smiled towards her friend. "Don't worry." Korosu placed a hand on Ayumi's shoulder. "Hey, I guess I'll head back now. We don't need the others worrying." She informed and began walking back to the other situation slowly.

"Huh?Heading back already? B-But we just met him and and." Ayumi looked at Korosu. "Wait for me!" She started to run after Korosu, but then she turned back at Arralan. "You can come too if you want." She smiled. "You can get foood.~" She tried to make him to come with them.

"Indeed, I was thinking he would put up more of a struggle. Perhaps he decided he didn't want to be seen instigating fights in public," Arralan suggested, shrugging. "I'm sure you'll find a face to pummel at some point, though," he amended quickly, flashing a grin at Ayumi. "I was only being polite. You did help me out of that little.... Ah... Let's call it a disagreement," he said, chuckling slightly. "The pleasure is all mine, Ayumi," he countered her greeting, meeting her handshake and nodding. "And despite your insistence that this was no big deal, I nevertheless feel as though I am in your debt. So if you need something, anything I can provide or help with, just say the word." He gave another slight bow, before standing back up and smiling.
He pushed his hair behind his ears, revealing them in all their pointed splendor; they were nearly three and a half inches long, the both of them. He scratched at his cheek, his hand motion bringing attention to the black mark under his eye; a circle with another half-circle through the top half, the center meeting the furthermost curve of it, with a line through the center of it all; the edge of the line and both ends of the semi-circle were just below his eye, as if holding it up. The mark didn't crinkle when he smiled, despite his cheeks raising.
"I was planning on insisting my own accompanying you," Arralan said simply, smiling as he walked with them. "I owe you, after all. How'd I be able to pay you back if I didn't know where you were? And besides," he said, chuckling slightly as he continued alongside them, "I do love food."

Ayumi smiled. "It was really nothing. You don't need to pay me back. " She smiled. "but that shouldn't stop you from comming with us." Ayumi walked next to Korosu and next to Arralan too, in the middle. "May I ask why that man was after you? I mean he sounded like he was in a bad mood." She looked at Korosu. "Oh and she is my friend." She smiled then she looked at Arralan. "She is Korosu. My dear friend." She said smiling and with a happy voice. "She saved me a lot of times and she's my best friend." She hugged Korosu purring. They finally got back to the others. She looked at Seth. "I wonder if he will be mad at me for trying to save someone else..." She said quietly so only Korosu and herself could hear.

Seth smiled as he saw Korosu and Ayumi but it slowly faded as he saw Arralan, he crossed his arms and stared at Ayumi and Korosu "Alright, what's with the new guy? Is he another stranger?" He asked before pausing "We should really stop picking up strangers, but it is still gonna happen either way." He muttered to himself.

Korosu smiled and hugged her friend. "He wasn't upset whn we brought Rin. I guess for him, if they don' hurt his friends, he doesn't mind." Korosu said only for Ayumi to hear, she then looked up at Arralan and smiled fakely. "Nice to meet you." Korosu tried keeping a nice tone. Even though Korosu has been friendly to the new people she's been meeting, something about Arralan made her hate him. Poor Korosu couldn't explain it, it's not like she wanted to hate him, something in her just clicked that she does hate him. I will try to be friendly. It's not like I have a reason to hate him. I never seen him in my life.' Korosu thought. She then looked over at Seth. "Oh sorry, didn't see you. Ayumi wanted to help him and offered him to come with us." She sighed and smiled.

"Like I said. Let's just call it a... disagreement," Arralan said, dodging the question. "He was indeed in a bad mood, and I confess I may not have helped to cheer him up any." He shrugged, then nodded at Korosu. "I was going to ask for your name shortly, as well- it's hardly polite to travel with people who's names you don't know!" He chuckled quietly, then fell silent; his eyes gleamed as he observed the situation they were approaching. He was not-so-obviously sizing up everyone in the group now, determining where the most beneficial allies were, who to try and avoid, possible physical weaknesses in the chance of this being a very elaborate trap. He doubted the latter-most idea, but it never hurt to be prepared for everything. He noted the woman Korosu's scythe, glancing at his own weaponless figure; of course, he needed no weapons of the conventional style. His weapon saturated the very air around them, flowed in thick currents across the land. Magic was the only ally he truly needed, but these new additions seemed as though they may prove helpful for a time.
He gave a smile as they approached the man, nodding slightly. "And you must be?" He began, expecting a reply from the man at some point or another. Korosu and this new man both seemed wary of him, but he didn't mind; he meant them no harm, so as long as they didn't provoke him there would be no trouble. He saw no reason to distrust them, aside from the two who were now eying him suspiciously. Despite Korosu's attempted friendly greeting, the strain and effort was painfully obvious in her tone and expression... But Arralan appreciated the attempt at being hospitable, and reciprocated with a completely genuine smile. "It's a pleasure to meet all of you."
