IceeWitch As a Gryffindor you're supposed to post in a shade of red. Slug club was actually an idea Katie's sister came up with ages ago. It involves riddles instead of Trivia. Teachers post in their house color around the guild. If they choose to post in another color in their classrooms only, that's fine. Also, I just wanna make sure you know there are no guarantees you'd get Astronomy back next term, but if you apply first then of course you'd have the best chance. You're proven in that subject. okay posting in red from now on. I know there is no guarentee but I still want to try, if I dont get to be a teacher again I can throw myself into the Slug Club and the DC or something.

It's past the day the event is supposed to start.... any ideas?
The Mod Squad is kinda busy and very dry (with ideas for now).

How about just start opening sign ups for DC now. See how many people decide to do it, and then sorta go from there. Like, put a little range of days people can sign up for it, then as soon as they're over, pair people together to "duel" and start the trivia.

I'm talking about the End of Term Event (it was supposed to be Valentine's Day related)

I say we have a avi contest to be dressed in the best romance avi as possible. Also a item raffle, (use the random number action) to have the raffle. and the we can also have an rp contest. It is not too hard to get the avi contest running and the rp some one will need to write the beginning and then have the crew judge the entries sent to one person via pm and they can send it to the other judges and then they can inform the guild of the finalists and then they can have a poll till the day before term ends and then you can enjoy the outcome and award the winner. (if you need help let me know)

Okay on a different note completly, here is something else to discuss. I will also post this in the Grad discussion but, I thought this being a comment I should also post it here.
I don't know if this will help or hurt the subject about Grads ( I was talking with a student and he told me some of his ideas for the Grads, he didn't want to post them but, he said I could as long as I kept his name anonymous) but, I thought I should post these ideas anyway.

Quote: Anonymous wrote: Um there could be something like a training section cause they don't just know how to be an aura or a charms teacher or a ministry worker without some kind of training so maybe a special set of classes for grads only that can help the houses get points or something that way they can have some relation to their house or if we don't do something like that we will have people who graduate and there would be no real reason for them to say they were a {insert house here} cause they aren't doing anything to help the house these days or make a bribe type of thing [where former students can pay gold to the guild mule as a donation and their old house will get an increase in points based on the donations and then it makes it to where we can have lots of more expensive events and or more events /contests which will attract new members cause there are those who will try to get prizes and become interested in the guild.
Now I don't think the bribing is a good idea at all however, the special classes for Grads maybe something (I think, at least) that should be seriously discussed here. What do you guys and girls think?

Now I don't think the bribing is a good idea at all however, the special classes for Grads maybe something (I think, at least) that should be seriously discussed here. What do you guys and girls think? Grads are allowed to teach classes which to me makes more sense than special classes. I mean after seven terms of the same subjects, don't you think you're qualified to pass on what you've learned to others? Grads DO NOT earn house points. I mean for a "graduate" to earn "Student" house points kinda conflicts the point... I mean Graduates please just give us a minute to set up your subforum. I think RPs is the furthest that should go because if we're going to have grad classes for 3 or 4 members when we still have 20 members taking classes as students with only three or four choices...something's wrong with that picture. But then again as far as classes go, if on a whole (in the graduate suggestion thread that Beyond Hogwarts will have) you guys decide to incorporate special classes, well then go for it! Just don't expect to earn house points. You can still root your fellow Puffies/Gryffies etc on though. Think about Nick: he's always a Gryffindor, but he doesn't go around earning house points for his House. He just cheers them on! Or for a living example think about Snape: he can't earn house points for Slytherin but he's always a part of that House.
Bribing would sound fun twisted But it's unlikely for HPGoG

I think it makes a lot more sense for grads to teach classes. And to not be able to earn house points. I agree with Icee on this. I think that graduates should still be able to post in their common rooms though.
As far as bribing, I think absolutely not. In my opinion, that is a despicable idea and it completely disgusts me.

That wasn't my point. I dont support bribing at all! And I never said anything about Grads earning points, Anonymous did.
I was thinking that a class for seventh years only (maybe 6th years too) could have a class where it would say prepare them for a job in say the Ministry. Maybe it isn't needed at all, it was just an idea. However if you think this is better off as a subject just for the Grads to talk about as some sort of Comunitty Collage thing then I'll post it there.
If this at all sound like I'm mad or ticked off, I'm not and I don't mean it to sound that way either, I just don't know how to ask it any better, I'm very tired right now and need sleep, lol.

I understand with the tiredness. I'm sleepy almost done with homework, and sitll need to take a shower. Um... if you're thinking of a class for seventh years only or something, we allow that! Teachers can make up their own subject if they like. It's all in Halls of Learning Info thread.
