I was just at FanimeCon and there were a ton of Pokemon cosplayers. There were at least 6 Ash Ketchums, and even more with Ash hats. I saw at least two Misty (I think 3 or 4, but I'm not to certain of my memory there, and I didn't see more than 2 at once, so I might have seen the same ones multiple times), and all sorts of Pokémon, including several pikachu and pichu, a raichu, plusle and minun, a marreep, etc. There were even a bunch of gym leaders from different games, including a very authentic Roark(sp?) and a bunch of team rocket members, and an impressive officer Jenny carrying a growlithe.

Most awesome of all, however, was the Red Gyrados. It was one of those Chinese dragon suit things which is long and articulated with multiple people inside controlling it, I almost tried grabbing for a pokeball for real when I saw it! eek

Honestly, I hope you're right about Reshiram, Tippy. Dragon/Ice would be a nice combo.

I HOPE that Reshiram and Zekrom aren't Dragon/Flying and Dragon/Steel, because they've been done before, but that's what they look like to me... Dragon/Ice and Dragon/Dark would be better.

And oh, it was. If you replace all the mentions of the starters/legendaries with Turtwig/Chimchar/Piplup/Dialga/Palkia, it's practically the EXACT SAME as back in 2005.


@Just: Yeah, I'm sorry if I sounded like I was attacking you or anything. It's just, that whole, "Omg Isshu/Black and White/the entire 5th gen sucks I quit!" mentality is SO prevalent right now and I just think it's the stupidest thing ever. We've only seen seven Pokémon and a handful of screenshots; How could anyone rationally pass judgment on all of Isshu/Black and White/the 5th gen on so little information? It just strikes me as VERY much complaining just to complain, hating change, or the hater has previous convinced themself that the 5th gen sucks so they're not even giving it a chance.

Like I said, it's okay to rationally dislike something. I still don't like Zekrom. But at least I'm giving B/W a chance.

My night just got instantly better.

Just got HG, I'll put up the pics I took with my cell phone of the cosplayers as soon as my little brother visits and teaches me how. I'm not really good with cell phones, I know I can somehow e-mail it to myself or something with the phone, but I don't know how to do that.

My little brother is staying up with my parents for the summer, and since I live only about half an hour drive from them, rather than 7 hour drive he lives from us normally, I'll probably see him soon, so the pictures should be up in a week or two. sweatdrop

Anyway, I got Heart Gold partly because he has Soul Silver, and he wanted to be able to do the extra link stuff those do that Diamond doesn't, and partly because I wanted a PokéWalker. I heart the Winner's Path and the 'Walker in general. mrgreen xd
