"LIIIIIIN!!!!" A fairy called out at the top of her lungs. With her bright green hair pinned up and bobbing up and down, and her simple pale green dress adorned with all manners of trinkets from keys to bells (and other generally distracting, shiny objects); of course it could be no one else other than Maggie. The fairy was quite excited, perhaps it had to do with spring coming despite that it was still somewhat chilly this far north.
"Lin, Lin, Lin, I'm so happy to see you agaaaaiiinn!!!!"

Lin heard a higher-pitch voice call her name. She smiled as she knew who it was instantly, before she even saw her.
When she was closer and she could see her, Lin smiled at Maggie brightly. "Hello Maggie. It's so good to see you again, too! And such a perfect time, as well. I love Spring."

"Spring, spring, spring, I love it too!" Maggie sang happily. Her bells chimed as she moved, giving her the overall appearance of a gypsy. Though the weather that day was not particularly sunny (in fact, it had been pouring buckets earlier in the morning, causing great mud puddles to appear around the grounds. Needless to say, many earth- and water-mages were taking advantage of this and staging mudfights.) "So, what's up?" There was a tiny squelching noise from underneath Maggie's bare feet as she walked around on the soft ground.
((Mudfights... I think you guys know where this might go....))

At Night's words, Cook glanced out the opening that led to the cafeteria and nodded at Ialo and Athena. "Danni girl, your friend's here early. Take a break, eat and go talk." He said, and before she had a chance to argue, Cook was sticking a plate of food in her hands and urging her out of the kitchen, over to the table where Athena sat.
"Hey, long time no see...again." She said, offering a friendly smile as she perched on the edge of her seat, absently slicing up sausage links with the edge of her fork. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Ambrose and Lia enter the cafeteria, and she nodded in acknowledgment when Ambrose looked her way.
Over the past few months, Ambrose had come to terms with teh fact that Danni had needed to seperate from the families, and he made a fact of visiting the shack once or twice a week. Lia was...well, Lia, spoiled and proud as ever. The last time Danni had spoken to her sister was about two months ago when they'd run into each other in the hall. Both were happy with the strategy of ignoring each other, so things were fine as they were all around.

It was true that Lin loved nature, just about everything in it. But she did not like getting dirty. Knowing what the weather was like here before she teleported here, curtousy of her father's advanced powers in nature, she wore thigh-high leather boots in a yellow canvas color. So the mud was not getting on her skin right now.
Lin nodded. "Spring is incredible. I've been at my home in the large forest to the East, first attending one of my sister's wedding and then I helped the fairies and some of the nymphs bring in Spring in our forest and the surrounding areas. It is my favorite time of the year, bringing in Spring. I am assuming you had to help your home bring in Spring as well, am I correct?"

"So cool!" Maggie looked around at the surrounding forest. There was a bit of a pause before she spoke again. "Well, in a way, I suppose..." Maggie was still heartbroken over the loss of her home five years ago. So, to answer Lin's question, no, she wasn't. She no longer had a home to bring Spring to. So instead.... "The time is almost right to bring Spring here. But, we're so far north, it doesn't come a early as it does in other places." Maggie laughed. "Besides, I'm more of a summer person. Now watch this." She kneeled down and scooped up a rich blob of dark mud. "Name a target, any target."
((MUDFIGHT!!! Huh, I kinda want Lia in here...))

Lin didn't mind Spring coming here a little later. It was farther north. She loved Spring, but she did not like tampering with Nature's order. So, she'd simply be able to experience Spring beginning again in another place. Nothing wrong with that.
Her eyebrows rose when she heard what Maggie said and saw what she was planning to do. "What do you mean, pick a target?! You couldn't possibly throw that mud somewhere! A person could get very dirty, or it could hit the side of the school."

Maggie cheered. "Of course, that's the whole point! It's only mud, after all. It's nothing against one or two cleaning spells." Maggie tossed the mud ball up and down. "This is perfectly good mud, it needs to be used!" She hurled it into the air, which in retrospect.... maybe was not a good idea, as she had no idea where it would land...

All of a sudden, Danni held up a finger, sniffing the air. Suddenly she broke out in a delighted grin, and got to her feet. "I smell...fun." She said a bit weirdly, then dashed into the kitchen. "Daddy, going to play in the mud, I'll wash the dishes later, so leave 'em." She said, leaving her cloak behind with an amused Cook as she ran out the back door, around to where Maggie and Lin were. Sure enough, her touble maker senses had been right once more. She saw Maggie with a glob of mud in her hand, and she grinned again.
She stopped a few yards away, since Lin was there, but brushed her bangs out of her eyes as she glanced around happily at the mud surrounding her. "Mud slinging?" She asked, taking a ball of the brown mush into her hands.

Lin gasped as Danni came over and also took some mud into her hands. She then saw Maggie throw the mud up in the air.
"Noooo! We have to stop this! This isn't right!"
She ran backwards so that the mud wouldn't hit her.

"Isn't right?" Maggie looked at her quizzically. "What, you don't like getting dirty?" She grinned for a moment, before she got hit in her gut with a hard, fast, mud ball. Who could have thrown it?
Ophiuchus had glanced out a corridor window, and saw Maggie about to toss mud at some poor unsuspecting student. That's wrong, he thought to himself. Her form is off... It was the healing professor who had thrown the mudball at Maggie then. "IF YOU'RE GOING TO MAKE A MESS, DO IT RIGHT!!" he shouted from an open window facing the girls. A bunch of passing students stared at him, and turned around, finally catching sight of Maggie who's backside was now covered in mud.
"Oof!" Maggie gasped before she got back up. She glared at Professor Akakios. "YOU'RE JUST JEALOUS, OLD MAN!"

While Ophi was busy yelling at Maggie, Danni shaped her mud ball, then wound up, turning towards the open window. Using the form she used for baseball, she chucked the mudball at the open window, and hit Ophi right between the eyes. "HOW'S THAT FOR FORM?!" She called, grinning at her professor.

Ophiuchus blinked as the mud exploded and dripped down his face. Luckily, it didn't hurt too badly, but. "You've been a naughty student," he chided Danni. "YOU DESERVE DETENTION!!!!! YOU SUUUUCK!!!!" Ah, that phrase. It was one of the first things Ophiuchus learned to say in English. Saying it in Latin just didn't have quite the same vibe to it, you know?
Ignoring the mud on his face, he held out his hand and classic earth-magic runes began to form a circle in the air, preparing for an attack. The professor smiled. He knew Danni was certainly strong enough provide a modest amount of amusement. Several mudballs formed in the air, and flung themselves at the girl. Some of them hit Maggie too, as evidenced by her groaning and generally over-dramatic gestures. Why, one would have thought she was in an opera.

Lin gasped as she saw a professor throw mud!! It was Professor Akakios! She was very happy to see him again... but he was throwing mud! This entire area was quickly turning into a mud fight...
She smiled awkwardly up at the face of her professor in the window. "It's wonderful to see you again, Professor Akakios!"
She then gasped again when she heard him... swear!

"Hmm?" Ophiuchus glanced past his runes, and spotted Lin. "Oh, hi there!" he called out to her. "This could keep me for a bit, so just move on ahead - OW!" Another student, besides Danni, had thrown a mud ball at his chest, which was just exposed above the window ledge. If Lin thought that was cursing... Hopefully, she would just politely ignore the foul things that tumbled from his mouth next.
"GAWDFRIGGINDAMMIT!!!!"
A delighted senior ran past the girls on the courtyard, he had a reputation for being a prankster around MFHS. "Ahaha!! Gotcha, Professor A.!"
