"Then I'd love to keep you here with me...but we're still going to have to get up. The light will blind me and probably you too now." She stroked his mane and breathed him in. The last thing she wanted to do was move.

Valzar moved, using his body to guard her from the sun. "Come, we'll rest deep within the cave where no one will disturb us."

Her heart did a tiny flip. "And I can't let you down." She stopped when they reached her sleeping chambers. A wrought iron bed sat tucked away in a small niche in one wall, while a hot mineral pool sat on the other side of the room.
