I would stand in line for this
. . . when you and a friend of the low brass have Spartan style wars with crash cymbals and mallets in the hallways, during school, when you're supposed to be setting up for the concert.
. . . When you here the first three notes of a song and you and some other friends all sing your part. Me, a clarinet player who's ******** amazing and a piccolo player did this for Stars and Stripes Forever by Sousa. We stopped when we got to the piccolo solo for obvious reasons.
. . . When your entire band sings their parts on peps tune at basketball games because you aren't allowed to play. You'd be surprised how damn good Eye of the Tiger can sound when you sing it. No one misses the key. >.>

The moment you get out of school on the last day, you call your director to tell him how much you miss band (even though you know you're going to march in less than two months).

You know your a Band Geek when you spent the last day of school in the Band Room and skipped the rest of your classes.

You know you're a band geek if your parents, who don't know a thing about band, know everything after a year.
You know you're a band geek if your parents are too busy watching the band play in the stands rather than the actual football game.
You know you're a band geek if you're in more than one band.
You know you're a band geek if your life consists entirely of: eat, sleep, practice.
You know you're a band geek if, somehow, *coughinsidejokecough*, everyone in the band was related.
this happened in my band and it was very interesting keeping up. we adopted freshmen every year into the band family and disowned/ignored anyone who got out of band.
When you can play everyone else's part better than they can.
When you're better than the trumpet section.
When you can play "Zelda's lullaby" on the clarinet. AND it sounds good (guilty)
When armed guard means a girl/guy with a flag and not some dude with an armed weapon of some sort.
When you're more afraid of the guard than anyone else in the school.
When you complain about breaking a reed over breaking a limb.
When you name your instrument and everyone in band calls it by said name.
When you go to DM camp and everyone agrees that the biggest problem is the percussion playing too loud.
Most of this stuff happens in my band sweatdrop

when you know exactly how to take care of a uniform because your mom is uniform mom *guilty
when your bd has just as dirty of a mind as you do
when you march in step with your friends
when you and the rest of the band complain about how loud an annoying the guard is on the bus
when you make fun of the strange props that the other bands guard has (gray ovals??, evil pillowcases??)
when you are at the movie theater watching a movie that your band is playing the soundtrack to and find yourself fingering your notes *guilty
when you know that a black hole is in the pitch of b flat

You know you're a band geek when you start to have regular conversations with your band directors.
When you start to BUY stuff for your band directors.
When you talk to ex-band geeks and are the reason why they're back in the band. (I got four to come back, and I have no remorse)

You want to buy your BD a music gift(Ex razz iano pencil sharpener,TrebleBass Clef mousepad,Flute Pen/pencil,Mini.instrument,instrument brooch/pendant,earrings,) I was about to buy a piano pencil sharpener for Mr.Hanna O_o I scare my BD too much... xD By asking him for the school's trombone.. xD
You email your BD everyday.(Guilty..O//O)
You email your local music store everyday. (Guilty!!!)
You don't care if your the only male/female in a instrument group(Ex:Guy in Flute.Female in Trombone,Trumpet or Percussion)(Guilty, I'm a female trombonist xD)
You don't care if the school's instrument has rust/etc,. on it. Guilty with the trombone. xD
You go to a festival, just for the band. xD (Guilty)
You name your instrument names like Sexy or Hot. Guilty...
You let your friend own everyone w/ your big instrument case, and don't care but then you fight for your instrument..Guilty.
You don't want people to quit band(Guilty....=D)
