Lol My section has 18 Trumpets O___O. But sometimes i dun think were loud enough. >_>" But my section leader does try to over blow since some don't play while marching X_X

Whats going on?!??!?!?!
We have 2 trumpets and 2 cornets and are easily loud enough!!
In fact, we're the most dynamic sensitive section of the band!!
When we're quiet, we're quiet enough, when we're loud we blast the band's socks off!!

I have a besson C trumpet and I didnt even know till this year lol.
I have about every brass mouth peice known to man and i think four trumpet mouth peices.
I am going to all reigon band in Texas this year on the trumpet and I am scared >.> .

Man our band has like 6 trumpets but only 3 of us always show up so yeah it sucks because then half of us have no clue what we are doing. It sucks hahaha. So me and my buddy are forced to play even louder than we already are and when I do that my tone quality go WAAAAYYYYYY DOWN and it sounds bad. He tells me I should practice more when I am the one that probably practices the most! grr lol. oh well whatever we end up doing alright anyway. I really wish though that our BD would get cooler songs then maybe it would encourage the other trumpets to come out to practice.

I got to play "Beowulf: The trilogy" my freshman year =DDD we got 1+'s across the board at concert festival that year with it too. lol.

Lolz!! You see, we just rebel and play what we want.
We recently did a concert for Primary School kids, and then jthe final song and they wouldn't let us play 'Merry Christmas Everybody' so we waited for the kids to start leaving and played it loud and waaaay too fast. It was unbelievably good, despite the dirty looks from the teachers. Thats what happens when a trumpet, a cornet, 2 saxes and a drummer want to do something awesome.

I don't play the trumpet anymore but it will always be one of my favorite instruments, to bad our BD hates most of them and a lot are going to quit
