"It's alright," she replied, her foot gently tapped his leg underneath the table. "Let's just take it a step at a time. It's no use getting worked up about something that hasn't happened yet," Emma told him before she went back to eating her wrap. ☾
Herald nodded. "Yes, that's true," he replied as he continued leaning back in the chair. He smiled as she tapped his leg. "For now, we can focus on us," he told her with a smile.
"It does," Herald agreed as the waiter came with the check. He took it and reached into his pocket, putting the money on the table. "This whole paying for things business is something I could do without though," Herald muttered. He looked across the table and gave Emma a smile. "But it's no matter. This time with you...has been nice."

If you would like, from now on, we can just split it. Like you pay for movies and I do dinner or something else," she told him with a smile. "Would you like to head back home after this?" she asked him. ☾
Herald frowned slightly and shook his head. "No, I will take care of the payment," he insisted. "And as for home, yes I'm ready if you are," he told her with a nod.

I don't want to make you broke," she sulked. She finished up her water before standing up "Alright then. Lead the way," she said with a small smile. ☾
Herald gave Emma a smile but it was clear he was intent on paying himself. He stood up when Emma did and raised one hand, opening a portal in front of them. Several of the other patrons exclaimed their surprise but otherwise there was no upheaval. He stood back and waited for her to step through the portal before he did. Opening the diner door, the ever present bell chimed, announcing their arrival. Aislin was delighted to see that her favorite corner booth by the window was still open amongst the recently arrived lunch rush, and she almost did something along the lines of a power walk to claim her seat. "Ah, I can't wait. I just really want a milkshake. I wonder if they have any seasonal flavors." she said as she took the menus from the end of the table, laying one in front of her mother before opening her own. "As usual, it all sounds good and I'm going to take about an eternity to choose."

Following her daughter, the blonde meister would peek her gaze with the surrounding area. At least it was rather calm unlike the times when Blackstar was around. She could still hear the explosions and walls shattering when the ninja stepped forward, usually fighting with Kilik over the chocolate bars. Then either kid or oxford stepped in to impose order, sometimes even both of them.
Taken away from her daydream she could sense a gentle pull forming against her once her daughter started her power walk towards their desired destination. Having found a comfortable spot by the corner.
Sitting by and placing one leg above the other, she proceeded to examine the menu with detail. No wonder Aislin had troubles to choose as Maka as well wished to try everything at once.
"How about this. Each one pick a different Milkshake, that way we both get to try two instead of one."
Suggested Maka with a giggle afterward.
"We could even ask for extra cups if you wish."
Added, since she didn't knew if Aislin would be comfortable with sharing the same cup.

"Sounds like a plan, minus the extra cups. Don't need to give them extra dishes to do and it isn't like one of us is sick." she said agreeing to the suggestion. Aislin repeatedly read over the menu as the milkshake flavor page took up almost a full page. After several minutes of long consideration, she finally decided on a flavor. "I think I'm going to try the salted caramel flavor with lots and lots of fries on the side. I mean, I like salted caramel enough so hopefully it's good. What do you think you're going to get, kaa-san?"

"Oh Good choice I wanted to try that one!" Exclaimed Maka, while she still was hesitant to let her daughter eat fries, she couldn't spoil the mood. After all she did said she had a healthy diet. It would be nice to trust her. However what should she get instead? "hmm..." The spartoi found herself in yet another puzzle. Scouting the page over and over. Perhaps a little too much. Thinking about Soul already pushing her to pick one every time she over thought about something made a endeared smile appear on her face before setting her choice. "I'll pick this one. The Ginger-spice. And I suppose I'll take a chicken sandwich with fries to the side."

Aislin saw the look on her mother's face when she said she would eat fries and laughed. "Don't worry, kaa-san. The fries I get are baked sweet potato fries so they're much healthier than the usual dripping in grease fries." she said to reassure her mother. "It all sounds good. I can't wait." Aislin said with a bright smile. Soon enough, a waitress came over and took their order before leaving them. "Boy, it sure is getting colder and colder outside. It's probably impossible given where we are, but what are the chances of any form of frozen precipitate?"
