kitty-kungfu She nodded her head and stepped forward, "Okaa-san, since Yokome is now a geisha . . . I was wondering if I may have your blessing to take on another young sister, Luna." Iyasu looked to Mother with a soft smile. She hoped that she would give her blessing for this apprenticeship. Okaa-san nodded thoughtfully. "That is a good idea. Have you brought up the subject with Luna yet? I believe having you as an elder sister would be very beneficial to her."

"Not as of yet . . . I would to like to speak with her tomorrow, because I am taking Tanpopo out for her debute." She nodded, "I thought about calling her to the tea room with Tanpopo and speaking to her then over a small meal." Iyasu looked over the boxes and trunks holding precious kimono. "Okaa-san? Would you be able to help me with my obi tonight, our head geisha told me that you know a water fall knot? That is if you want . . ." She bowed to her.

"Yes, you can ask me anything!" Yokome said with a smile. She set her tea cup down again on the table and neatly set her hands in her lap and waited for Michi to relply.

"Of course I'd be able to help you with your obi knot." Okaa-san walked over and pulled out a large wooden box and flipped open the lid, revealing nearly a dozen brocade obi. "Have you already picked out a kimono? We need to know what to match these with." She said, already pulling out a second box and setting it next to the first, making a larger choice obi available.

"Yes, I have. I just have to get it down, along with the one for Tanpopo. I tried to call a maid to help me . . . no one answered." Iyasu shook her head, "It the kimono with the cranes and the one with dazzling water fall for Tanpopo. If I remember correctly they should be in the same trunk on the bottom level." She blushed slightly at her forgetfulness infront of Okaa-san.

Michi bowed her head in thanks,"I was wondering if i could ask you this, do you enjoy being a geisha?" she asked politly, "I have been wondering that for a very long time now and I didn't know who to ask but you were right here so I apologize if I have insulted you in any way." Michi looked down sort of embarrassed.((post:46))

"Oh," Yokome said to Michi. "I do enjoy being a geisha. You know, entertaining people, learning dance and music. But I think there are some good and well....bad things about being a geisha. But think that there are always but and downs to everything. For example, a geisha can never allow herself to truly love another person. But for me, becoming a geisha I feel was my destiny, and I have to accept that. But overall, I do enjoy this life." Yokome took a slight breath from her little speech.

Michi looked at Yokome,"To never be ablr to truely love someone? Does that mean to give up your one and only for your trade as some may call it? And i relize there are ups and downs to everything but would you think there is more ups or more downs to being geisha? I mean like you are able to entertain people who need it but you make sure they are happy even if you are not right? Also thank you for answering so well." Michi smiled.((post:47))
