Takeshi looked between Agnese and Keilven. "First class? Could we get any less subtle?"

Joe shrugged. "Nothin. Let's get going. Jacob's waiting." He got back in the car and waited on Siber.

"Yeah, that's long enough. Let's get out of here." He kept his concentration on the Ajna, though. Something was off about all this. Things don't stop unless they're playing with you.

Joe nodded and they drove once again for the airport. He too was on edge, but he kept it under control.

Agnese revve engine as she started barreling down the street again, eageer to get to the freeway as soon as possible. And even as she sped through traffic she turned a glare to her backseat driver.
"Fine, Business class, whatever. I don't know if you've noticed this but I'm not exactly the kind of girl who rides coach."
<(Besides, if we split up on the plane Whatever the hell is following us won't take us all out in one shot.)>
"Exactly!" Agnese said, forgetting that no one else could hear Ana.

Fyrin sighed. "I'm sorry. I forgot you deign that sort of affair 'vanilla magic'. It would've been very useful if you could, too. Doesn't matter. Let's check big thigns first - the freeways, then main roads, then small roads if we have time." He swooped in lower, streaking straight for the first highway he spotted.
---
Paul shrugged, getting back into the car and starting the car back up, starting off after Joe, keeping pace with him. Much like Siber, the fact the visions had cut themselves out without further event was enough for him to keep moving, but he kept looking into his rear-view mirror, looking to see what might have followed them...
((Edited because I thought I had to leave sooner than I did. I'm going to bed now. See you folks in the morning.))

Renard shrugged. "It's not because it's vanilla. Hell, kinetics falls under that. I just can't do it. It's outside what I specialized in."
--
Paul could've sworn for a moment that a particular shadow was shaped very much like a person, but when he focused more closely on it, it was just a shadow.

Paul slammed on the brakes, threw the wheel sideways, and nearly ran over a pedestrian. He got out, swearing. "Siber! You moron, they're back already! That was not long enough! I'm still seeing things. I'm walking," he snapped. He wasn't actually frustrated at Siber; just at the fact that now he was walking instead of driving because he preferred not to die. "Give me a couple minutes," he said, changing his mind. "A couple minutes and then I'll consider driving."
---
Fyrin too shrugged. "Doesn't matter. Just keep your eyes open, they have to be down there somewhere," Fyrin said, scanning back and forth upon the highway they were over. He was moving pretty fast, fast enough to be a propeller-driven aircraft. If it weren't for the fact he looked more like a bat from the ground, he might have been mistaken for as much.

Everywhere Paul looked, he could swear for a moment that the shadows were human-shaped. He wasn't sure if they really were or if his mind was paying tricks on him.

Siber heard the scream of brakes followed by the scream of a pedestrian and assumed the visions hadn't stopped. He sighed angrily. "Just the fact that you're losing control because of a few little hallucinations does not mean I'm a moron." Why? Why were both of these people swerving instead of applying the brakes? How on Earth was that supposed to help. He considered Sam for a moment. "Joe, pull over, if you would. I need to go back there; this is stupid. Paul, I'm hanging up." Kids these days. He flipped the phone shut.

"Siber, wait! This is-," but Siber hung up. Swearing, Paul kicked the car. Now Siber was irritated with him. Just great. The shadows around were human, or so it seemed, and that wasn't natural. Something was up, and already this had driven him to almost hurt someone. He swore again, kicking the car's tire again for emphasis.

Paul thought for a moment that the patterns in the tire treads looked like a person. This added further doubt to which end of his senses these images were coming from. Because really, tire treads?

Siber got out once the car had stopped and began walking quickly back towards Paul, who was kicking his tire, clearly upset over something. "Dude," he said once in range, "it's not just you. There has just seemed to be a general air of carelessness surrounding this whole thing ever since Fyrin and his lot showed up. My grief with this is that both you and Joe are needlessly endangering lives instead of taking stock of the situation from an objective viewpoint. Obviously, something is attacking us psychologically. In that knowledge, fight it."
"Now, I can put a vague block on your mind that will dim your third eye, but probably dull these blows. Do you want it?"

Joe stopped the car and got out, looking over as Siber and Paul spoke. He closed his eyes and leaned back against the car, breathing deeply and focusing on communications with the Patron. He hadn't given up yet.

Joe felt a pressure in his head. He felt a thought, simultaneously his own and another's, telling him that what was important now was their plane to the East Coast. It seemed to know of the visions they'd been getting and not think much of them.
