I've been mulling this over since last night.
How do I show the hammer during my running animation...?
The hammer alone add much to the sprite, viewed from the straight side more so than the hammer face side.
I tried putting it holding it over my head, but my head completely covers the arm holding the hammer up.
It may seem odd to just have it disappear when I run, and reappear when I'm not.
I'm thinking a thought bubble over the head whilst running that shows the hammer, then a question mark, then the hammer again.
What do you think?

What do you think? Well it depends on how you want the arms to move. I thought you were going to put the arms straight back, like in a Naruto running kind of deal ( shut up, i still watch it >:L ) and the hammer would be behind him with a little of the arm and hand showing. I dunno, thats just b/c I havnt seen what your talking about before, T so I cant really say Yea or nay to your idea.

Just have your character dragging the hammer behind him. A running attack could be him swinging it in front of him and flying upwards from the momentum.

Hmm, sounds good. I'll try redrawing it to suit that.
I'm trying out this old N64 game, called Rakuga Kids, to see if I can get any movement ideas from that. Check out a vid of it

Who thinks I look like I do in my cartoons? It's a tad hard to tell seeing as it's dark in that picture.

J of The Wind @ Cheese- You seem to have a moustache in the pic...do you? XD No, that's the lighting combined with the face I'm making. I'm just about too young for a mustache.

What do you think? actually dragging it aloong the floor holding it so that just the sharp tip at the top is scraping the floor would look best, also the running attack could consist of him swinging the hammer up from this position much like Ike does in Brawl.

Goddammit switzerland I hear it's $15 a month here, but that's why I'll never play WoW. I like paying for a game once, and I'm enough of a bargain hunter that I could feed some of my other hobbies for $15.
