Black Rock Shooter Miyuki It's nice but it's hardly realisitic. I've been on this lovely third rock from the sun long enough to know that no one is going to remember to do it all the time or even want to most of the time. Soooooo, whatsherface coming in and raging "I'm the former owner greet me curse you! rageface" doesn't make folks uncomfortable? I'd rather not take it to PMs thanks because then my point doesn't get made. The thing is that it's sweet for some folks to have warm fuzzies for each other but forcing it on others is too much. It makes them feel like they're unwelcome for not wanting to be part of a love/weepweep oh poor us fest.
It may not be realistic to you, but thanks to this Guild I have met some of the best friends of my entire life. I had spent the money to visit them in person more than once, and it's an experience I will NEVER regret or care to change.
This Guild means more to me than anything, these people are my second family.
I'm not FORCING anyone to join in the love fest, simply asking that we all try to talk to everyone and not exclude anyone.
And, I'd kindly like you to not call it a "love/weep weep oh poor us" fest. Thank you. This isn't an EMO-child cave, this is a HOME, where a FAMILY resides.
And by the way, Jez has every right to come in here and get angry when people have a blatant disregard for the other members. She was merely standing up for someone who could not put their own foot forward. Ignoring other members of the Guild is something she has every right to get angry about. If it makes people feel uncomfortable, then so it should, because they were making others feel unwanted by ignoring them.

Don't even want to try? Why should I want to try to be "family" with people who just like to spout pretty words about friendship and acceptance but then turn around and rage when others aren't going out of their way to join in. Saying howdy then bitching about how there are too many new people isn't welcoming it's contradictory. I'm not fighting against closeness. I'm being the devils advocate and presenting the other side that others are too scared to put out there because they know this will happen to them.

Anyway it's clear from the heavy atmosphere that I'm not wanted myself so I'm gonna jet and find other people to chill with. Cause that's what I do. Have a good rest of the summer and don't get killed by school when it rolls around. Lord know I'm gonna try to. And I'm not going to look back.

It seems to me like you're just cold hearted. I've lived on this third rock from the sun long enough to know, that everyone appreciates a hello and a welcome home, even yourself. And let's face it, we're on gaia, on a guild talking about anime, if you're picturing the "realistic" things, then you're obviously not paying attention to the bigger picture. Sure, maybe there was a bit of rudeness involved in the way she said the things she said, but would you have noticed it if she were nice? I doubt it considering you aren't even welcoming the fact, that we're just trying to say everyone appreciates to be talked to. We're even giving you our time, despite the fact that you're just disregarding the fact that we're just trying to get everyone to be curtious.
and sorry for continuing this, but really, everyone else is trying to be kind, and talk to everyone else, I don't see why defending the "I don't need to be nice cause I don't know you" side is really worth the time.

*hugs back* Still, this place made me feel more wanted and loved than I do irl. It's where I come to feel better about the bad day I had or to share my love with someone who had a bad day. I'm pretty sure it's the same for a few people.
