...you fail a test because you just had practice and can't concentrate because the songs are stuck in your head.
...you have to leave practice early because you have a music lesson.
...you know all the best stories start with "this one time, at band camp..."
...the only time you've ever watched ESPN was when you wanted to watch dci championships.
...you can't wait for summer to start because summer means band.
...you have yelled something along the lines of "Has anyone seen my pants?" to a bus full of half-naked people.

.... when you collect all the broken reeds from all your years of playing and tape them in rows in your locker
....when you get up at 515 every morning to go to jazz band practice and don't usually leave until 515 that night because of stuff you had to do
....when you start using stands to build a fence around your section to keep all the other instruments out
....when you can put your instrument together with your eyes closed
....when you start picking the tempo and time sig out of a song you hear .... and your right when you look it up
.....when you wear your band uniform the same day the NJROTC people wear their dress uniforms
.....when you use your jazz band tux for prom
.....when you organize your music folder alphabetically and go crazy when somebody else uses it and messes up the order
....when you keep all your photocopied music after the year is over ....and the folder to
.....when you photocopy music so you will have a copy to keep as a sovunier
.... finally when your band teacher won't allow to touch the new insturments because he doesn't want drool all over them.....
yes, these are all from experience....

When your always happy on Music(special),band or band prac. (Guilty)
Have a Band bag w/ various instruments for your case, even if your instument is small. (My bag has: French horn,Violin, clarinet, piano keyboard, bass clef and treble clefs. )
Always talk to your BD about band, instruments(guilty.. XD), and music. And try to talk to your BD everytime you see him/her.
You feel sad when lesson or practice is over.(Guilty)
You never stop practicing.(Guilty) @Not-so-super-Kylie: Thats me. XD

When you know that "Geek" refers to someone in band, "Nerd" refers to someone in choir, and "Dork" refers fo someone in orchestra.
When you spend all your free periods (and lunch periods) in the band room sorting music.
When you have in-depth arguments with your band director about what next year's show will be.

Your a band geek when everyone else is sitting in dead silence in a band room and you want to burst out in a random band song that you know everyone hates. for me it was liberty bell by sousa and pretty fly. lol I'm serious. Everyone just stopped talking when we weren't playing in our band class and I just wanted start one of those songs. Then on my recent trip to Lakewood and sixflags (new Jersey) for music in the parks, which was yesterday, my middle school won first place, AA rating, we were the highest scoring middle school concert band there at the arena. I started singing some jingle I made up last minute. It was a rendition from "the little rascals", and my friend, Elexis told me to stop, but I kept going all the way to the bus. Then on the coach bus, we were chanting "Number 1" for like three minutes straight. That's when you know you're a band geek.

You know you're a band geek when you come to the end-of-the-year marching band banquet in a marching band uniform you bought at the thrift store.
One of the people in my band did this. He made it look good, too...and he wasn't even a ripped drumline guy...

You know you are a band geek when you surround your self with other band geeks and can't help but choke up (get misty eyed) during your concert while playing a bad a** song (guilty)
I can't help getting emotional when I feel the music flow through me ._.
