I get my shoulder under the midsection and help carry it back.

Manra: "Yes, I truly think so," Hahai'i says.
Everyone except Kirino: Atlanta and Moriah return to the group carrying a large buck. Judging from the blood on Moriah's cheeks, she probably killed it without her blade. Mashai'i is following behind, while Fi'hai helps the women carry the buck.

"Let's hang it up and let all the blood flow out." I search around for a sturdy tree branch.

Okay, guys, seriously. What happened? Is there a homework crunch or something? This RP has been VERY quiet lately.

Silver Tsumugari Okay, guys, seriously. What happened? Is there a homework crunch or something? This RP has been VERY quiet lately. Hey, don't point the finger at me. I can't post until the others do.

"Yeah, should be a good idea." I reply, also searching for a suitably sturdy tree.

Manra still felt nervous, as she quietly wondered what would be best to say. Was it a good thing to Hahai'i that she was similar to the Original Bearer of Earth, and just ended up with a small "um, thankyou...?"
Off Of Cranium: I do what I can, seeing as I really don't have a lot of life time, but yeah, when half the others aren't posting a lot...Not sure how to get Manra really involved without putting herself at a standstill either. Sticky spot...

Moriah & Atlanta: You see a suitable tree nearby.
Everyone: Okay, should I just move this along, then?

O.O.C. Ah screw it, move on if you want. That'd be easier I think. I'll be on school vacation next week so I'll be able to reply more often.

Everyone: After a few hours of exploring the small island and eating the meat that Moriah caught (thanks to Atlanta's use of the Red Ring's fire to cook it), you all set sail once more. After about an hour, you make land. You only have a few miles left before you reach the border of Lasai'ei. The Spirits ask you for suggestions on what to do: it is early afternoon, around three o'clock. Do you continue now, or rest for the rest of the day?

"I don't care either way. Maybe we should continue on, just so we have decent shelter... unless it's dangerous there now... Like I said. I don't really care either way."

Everyone:After a filling meal of venison, you all travel onwards: a mile of ocean, two and three-quarter miles of varying terrain, and much heated discussion. Finally, you arrive at the edge of a barren wasteland. Moriah sees a strange haze of energy. Once she points this out, the Ring Spirits use their collective power to reveal the truth: before you stands a strange orange barrier covered in strange runes and symbols (Moriah sees it as a wall of orange energy, but does not see the runes and symbols). When you try to pass through the barrier, into the lost realm of Lasai'ei, you are instead transported to a strange place: a blank white void in which you are all far apart from each other. The Spirits do not appear to have been transported here. You still have your Rings. Suddenly, you no longer see each other. Moriah:You find yourself once again in the dark: the area has no energy. You feel utterly alone and helpless, but still your heart tells you that you must be strong and push onwards. Maxwell:You are blinded by a light that seems to be all around you: you can't escape it, and your Ring's power is useless, as there are no shadows. You feel an intense fear of the light, of even life itself; you have the sudden urge for the sweet serenity of the blackness that is death. Eleutherius:The area is so dark that not even your Ring can light much more than a couple inches around the face. The blackness is so all-consuming, you almost feel like it's choking the life out of you. You grow fearful of the idea of death. Manra:You find yourself in a labyrinth. It defies logic: staircases and doors and archways all over the place: left, right, down, up, north, south, east, west, on the wall, on the ceiling, through the floor, etc. You find yourself becoming afraid of what your mind can create as you see your "friend" running through the labyrinth, their appearances and disappearances not matching up at all. You have a sudden desire to find your friend, the only person towards whom you've felt any kind of love. However, they don't seem to want to stop moving. Marco:You find yourself surrounded by silent corpses, their spirits in distress. Your Ring tries to help you understand them, but it simply can't. As these spirits close in on you, you become increasingly frightened of the dead, of these raving spirits who wish for you to understand them, but cannot be understood. You feel a strange compassion for them, despite your fears. However, your fears are stronger than this compassion. Kirino:You find yourself buried alive! You have no air, except for the air that your Ring can create. But how long can it last? You are assailed by inescapable fear, and only fear. You fear for your life, for the lives of the others... Atlanta:You find yourself drowning! Your feathers weigh you down as you struggle against the deep waters. Fear infests your mind, telling you that you can't survive, that it's best to just give up...but somewhere deep down, you feel a strong rage at this treatment, and at your own fear. Everyone:"Let us see if you are worthy to enter the forgotten realm of Lasai'ei!" a voice shouts across this strange conglomerate of frightening dimensions. "Use your emotions to your advantage. Your Rings can only help you so much!"

I end up tripping, being surprised my the sudden removal of my vision. A slow tear streamed down my eye with the onset of these strange emotions. They reminded me too much of my past; before my training, before I discovered my serenity of steel. I get up to my knees, and pulled out my sheathed blade, hugging it tenderly, like a close family member, like a loved one I needed. However, I was determined to fight, to press on, to see a better tomorrow. I gripped the handle and pulled off the sheath, weilding the blade in my right, and the sheath in the left. I stood up, slighty shaky. I knew the only path ahead for me, beyond the veil of fear, was a cut through the dark, a leap of faith!

At this moment, I know I need to try to find the surface... if there was one. I wouldn't know if I didn't try though, right? My instincts override my rage as I focus on one thing: survival. And to survive, I need to find my peaceful place and not waste precious energy in panicking. I close my eyes and think. My bones are hollow. They're denser than those of birds, but lighter than those of humans. That should aid me. I clench my toes together so there are no gaps and start kicking like I've seen humans do. To aid my movement, I flap my wings slowly but powerfully, turning my wings at an angle so they don't meet as much resistance when I bring them up. I flatten them out before pushing down. I repeat this process calmly.
