"Mommy!" Miyuki turned her head and pointed to the twins, "Look! They kick more when my tails move!"
Despite the fact it was a small thing it waa an exciting thing for Miyuki. She wiggled her tails to the side, she seemed to have more control over her tails than one would normally expect.
Lin giggled at that, "As long as you're getting sleep," she then answered Miyuki, "They find your tails as interesting as you find their kicking."

Rhea giggled. "I just hope they're not keeping you up as well," she murmured. "Or that you're getting used to it enough that you can sleep through it. If not, you could always request a different room, so that it's quieter for you ..."
She didn't want Lin to suffer from lack of sleep after all, and Miyuki was a growing child, she needed her sleep more than anyone.

Lin waved it off, they just had to change their sleeping style for a while.
"I'm fine, and Miyuki has taken to sleeping under my wing to muffle the noise."

"Ah, that's good," Rhea smiled. "If it does get out of hand, though, just say something. All right? I know the room on the other side of Earendil is empty - well, not the first, that's where Leyenda and Kelirahc are, but the next one."
Of course, she did know that even a change of room could be like changing houses, after all one did get accustomed to their space.

"We'll be fine," Lin assured her friend.
Afte a while one simply tuned out the noise. Miyuki seemed quite comfortable where she was.
Miyuki in the meantime was laying down beside the babies. She wiggled her fingers out at them and let them grab them. The little girl giggled at them.

The twins stared at Miyuki, blinking a bit when she put her fingers in their hands. They didn't have the strength or coordination to hold her fingers yet, but they were clearly intrigued. When she had her finger in their hands, they lay very still, just staring (and drooling).
Rhea giggled. "It looks like they like Miyuki," she murmured.

"And Miyuki seems to be interested in them," Lin murmured with a chuckle.
Miyuki, she knew had never interacted with babies this young before so it was a novelty to her.
"Or rather the difference between her and them. Amailrahc still ended up being the same age as her, so she isn't quite aware yet how fast she grows."

"I'm sure she'll find out soon enough," Rhea said softly. "It has been a while since she's grown, has it not? And you have been here for a month."
She chuckled softly. "And if Miyuki does grow, she will probably be closer to Amalirahc's height, if anything. That boy will be as tall as his father someday, I'm certain."

"I don't doubt it," Lin replied.
Looking at Miyuki, Lin had to admit this was the longt period of time she had seen Miyuki not grow, butvshe wasn't worried. This was normal once a child became older.
"I'm glad she's not growing so fast," Lin admitted, "I always feel like there isn't enough time."

Rhea laughed. "That's what my mother always said. Even with those of us who grow slowly, not enough time."
She smiled faintly. "And look at me. Up and gone on her, just like that. No wonder she worried. Still, that's life. And one day, all too soon, even Xion and Rhiannon will have their own lives to live. Of course, I'm not looking that far ahead, I'm enjoying the moment."

Lin had to admit this was true, she heard this from far more people than just of those who raised fast growing children. Still, in honesty it was true for her, she knew she might only have a few years at most.
"I know Dad felt that way," Lin murmured, "He would stare sometimes and wonder where the time gone."

Rhea giggled. "Well, you also grew quite quickly, for your parents. Slow for us, I know. Still. It's natural. I don't know if any parent is ever really ready to give up their children."
Of course, she didn't have experience, but she knew from being around parents who were at that stage in life.

When Lin though about it, it was probably true, this was probably why living on clan grounds seemed to suit most of her family.
"Mommy," Miyuki interrupted her thoughts, "Why don't the babies say anything?"

Rhea giggled at Miyuki's question. An innocent one, but an amusing one nonetheless. She was tempted to answer, but Lin was the one who had been asked. She smiled at Lin, waiting for her reply.

That was one of the things that made Miyuki different from Lin, she couldn't remember her entire life. Memory for Miyuki started at speech.
"The babies need to learn to talk. They'll start making sounds, put it together and as they get older learn to talk. You had to learn to talk as a baby. Your first word was your ada's name."
