 Lavenderrain Lavenderrain's violet eyes narrowed in concern. She looked down at her kit, then raised her head as she watched Shatteredfang come into camp, her tail bleeding. Foxur was with her. Lavenderrain focused her attention back on Purekit. "Purekit, dear, I want you to stay in camp unless a warrior is with you. Now, I'm still going to take you out, but we'll have to start springing fox traps," Lavenderrain decided, then gave her kit a reassuring lick on t he cheek. She turned and bounded over to Foxfur, her eyes puzzled. "I want to know what happened, where it happened, and why. We need to also figure out how to spring these," Lavenderrain asked, her pelt prickling with unease.

[Foxfur sat up straight, his brown eyes gazing at Lavenderrain]
"Well, Lavenderrain, Shatteredfang wanted to go hunting by herself, but you said, about Fathom, anyway, so I volenteered to go with her. As we were hunting, her tail got caught in one of the traps. I heard her cry and ran over. I-I well, I grabbed a stick and started poking at it, and it sprang free. There was this vole, it was crow-food, in front of it. Shatteredfang thought it was meant ad bait. She went off, and got caught in another trap, which hauled off the rest of her tail, and made it back to camp. I went all over the territory, springing as many as. Could and laying them out so cats would be able to notice them. Shatteredfang and I think the twolegs are trying to capture something"
[Foxfur's whiskers twitched. He felt kind of proud]

[Tigerfang couldn't understand what Eaglesoar was saying. All she heard was his voice.]
Not taking her eyes off Silentkit as she backed out of the nursery, she meowed, "O-Okay."
[She stepped out of the nursery and was floored. That feeling she had before didn't go away.]
Silenkit is only a kit! No kit should have to deal with that kind of torture! she thought desperately.

Lavenderrain Lavenderrain nodded, her purple eyes deep in thought. "Okay. Good job, but I'm almost positive you couldn't have gotten to all of them. We don't know how many there are. I want you to take a patrol of four out, and split into pairs. One pair takes one half of the territory, the other pair takes the other half. If we do that, the traps should be all sprung and we'll have no more danger. However, if they were fox traps, I'm thinking the Twolegs were trying to catch the foxes, for some reason," Lavenderrain mused.

[Foxfur dipped his head respectfully]
"Of course. I do think I missed a few. I'll get to it right now. But the only thing that worries me, Lavenderrain, is the fact that there might be foxes on our territory. Well, I must go now"
[Foxfur stood up and turned away, calling out to the patrol]
"Cinderwing, Shadowgaze [np], and Spottedheart [np], patrol. Let's go"
[Foxfur padded up to Cinderwing]
"I know you want to stay and watch over Shatteredfang, but she'll be fine, and you need something to take your mind off of her. You can set off the traps with Spottedheart on the left side of the territory. Shadowgaze and I will take the right"
[Shadowyaze and Spottedheart padded from the den and trotted after their deputy, ready]

She stirred, blinking at him. She grumbled a little, sitting up to look at her tail. Cinderwing smiled.] "It'll be okay," he murmured, padding after Foxfur.
[He heard a voice behind him as he left.] "Be careful out there, Cinderwing," Shatteredfang meowed after him.
He nodded. "I will," he meowed back.

[Now was her chance. Blackflame ran out of camp,and clamberedup a tree. Trying to stay as quiet as possible,as she jumped through the trees. Happy to be free for once since Blood had been around.]

[Foxfur grinned as they padded into the territory. He quickly spotted a trap and picked up a stick]
"Alright here's how you do it. Just get a stick, and kinda dig at the part going unto the ground. It should spring free pretty easily"
[He demonstrated and the trap sprang]
"Then just, haul it out into plain sight. Alright. Let's go"
[Hr nodded to Cinderwing and turned ready ti go with Shadowgaze]
((Alright, you can just contol Spottedheart since she's a NP))

They quickly set off away from the others. Soon enough, he spotted the teeth of a fox trap protruding from the leaves. e nudged Spottedheart. "There's one," he meowed.
Spottedheart nodded. "I'll go grab a stick." He watched the she-cat pad away to get a stick. She came back soon enough, throwing the stick at the small metal rectangle in the center of it's open jaws. It clamped onto the stick with a sickening snap, making both of them shudder. Cinderwing took ahold of the trap, pulling it out from under the leaves. Its metallic surface shone achingly bright as the sunlight shone on it. He blinked, looking back at Spottedheart, who nodded. "Let's go," she meowed.
By the time it was sunhigh, they had sprung about six traps. Spottedheart let out an energetic mew. "Well, I think that this is all of them over here," she meowed. She was probably right. This trap had been the first they had seen in ages!
Cinderwing shrugged. "Maybe we should scan over this part of the territory once more," he meowed.

[Eaglesoar meowed to the two kits, before heading out of the entrance of the camp and deeper into the forest. Since they were just kits, he would not take them far away from camp, and he would be sure to keep them close enough so that the camp was in view all the time. After all, with all those traps, it probably was not safe enough to wander around the territory recklessly, especially with two kits in tow.]
"Don't worry about Silentkit, she should be fine. Hauntedheart's a great medicine cat...even though she can have a bit of a temper as well."
[He meowed comfortingly to the two kits, sensing their distress. He shot a glance at Tigerfang, his brow raised in confusion and concern.]

[Hauntedheart took a step away form Silentkit and looked at Leopardstorm. Her crystal eyes were slightly filled with worry, but her normal harshness didn't leave them. She flicked her tail and glanced toward Silentkit again. The kit was sitting there like nothing had happened. The medicine cat sighed and turned back to the queen.]
"Leopardstorm, I need to speak to you. Privately," she told the queen.
